Countries Where People Live the Longest (1950-2100)

  • Опубліковано 23 сер 2024
  • The video shows the timelapse of life expectancies at birth of each country from 1950 to 2100. Life expectancy is a statistical measure of the average time a human is expected to live, based on the year of its birth, its current age, and other demographic factors like sex. The most commonly used measure is life expectancy at birth. The age measured is rounded down, so an age of 35.9 is rounded to 35.
Note: the data corresponds to current regions. For example, the data of Russia during the Soviet Union corresponds to only the Russian region of the USSR.

It was discovered recently that the average human can live up to 150 years but due to many differents factors (stress, hunger, war, work ) humans barely can reach 100 years old.

Elderly drivers are a clear social problem in Japan. This is because traffic accidents sometimes occur with cars driven by elderly people who are thought to have dementia. Because the perpetrator vehicle in these accidents is often a Toyota Prius, some people deride cars driven by elderly drivers, or elderly drivers, as Prius missiles.

The problem is with how life expectancy is counted.
You can have a society where 9 out of 10 children die before they turn 5 but those who survive live up to 100 years.
You can have a different society where almost all children survive their childhood but people who live longer than 80 years are very rare.
So, in the first example average life expectancy will be much lower than in the second one, but it will be commonly perceived as people living longer (if attention is paid only to those who survived their childhood)

It's Life expectancy at "birth" so for places with lower infant mortality rates it's easier to have higher Life expectancy.
Blue zones may top the list when it comes to Life Expectancy at other age groups like 65, 75, 85, 90

I love your optimism, but people live longer only statistically, in reallity i would say modern humans live even shorter lives than before, it's only the big numbers of old people compared to the ypung that change this number. The longest living ones are ironically around asia and eastern europe, which were shown to be amoung the shortest.

@@markku7624 They just take the average age of the country. Usually when there are more old people in a country this statisticaly shows that people have longer life expectancy, when there are more young people in the country the country has lower expectancy. For example in most african countries the life expectancy is aroud 40 or 50 years, but this doesn't mean people there live shorter, this means that they give birth to many children and most of the population hasn't reached old age yet.
