You do not need a driver’s license to rent a scooter in Thailand, they only ask to see your passport. but if you are stopped by the police and do not have an international driving license, you will have to pay a fine (around $15)

where do you keep the scooters when your at attractions e.g., waterfalls?

parking for scooters is easy everywhere you go. you can also leave the helmet unlocked (on the bike). everyone are super respectful and won’t touch it/steal it. have fun on your tip hollie ✨

Hey! There are two restaurant we went to in Fisherman village. one is called ‘Cafe De Pier’ and the other is called ‘Coco Tams’ - this is also were we watched the fire show. we recommend to make reservation for the restaurant to watch the fire show because it gets crowded but for most places no need reservations

Great idea! Definitely keep your rental paperwork in your scooters storage or bag. We actually got a international drivers license just in case, but never were pulled over by a traffic cop while we were there. any other suggestions we missed? thanks Roger

What were you thinking wearing a bikini top to the temple? There was no point in having a shawl to cover you when you made no effort to cover your breasts, only your shoulder, kind of. Sadly very disrespectful and though I’m sure you did not intend this, a very bad example to set. Please be more mindful in places of worship in future 🙏
