This is fantastic. I can't think of a more thorough and well worded review of Portmeirion, this is just what anyone needs to know before visiting this wonderful place. Thank you.
@@PlusParksandAttractions Good to hear from You . We would soooo love to visit again but apparently we can't take our little Boy Charlie whomis a delightful Cockapoo.
Love your video and the TV series. Question. Was Number 6's flat in the TV show real or a sound stage on the inside? I would love to know if it really exists on the inside and outside and if it's still left intact or not.
You can take a train from Liverpool to Portmeirion via Chester, Llandudno Junction, and Blaenau Ffestiniog in around 6h 2m. Alternatively, you can take a bus from Liverpool One to Portmeirion via Chester Bus Interchange, Corwen Car Park, and Dolgellau, Sgwâr Eldon Square 1 in around 7h 8m.

Nowadays, this place looks tacky, shoddy, with that lousy paint job, the red, the blue, the pink, the yellow, rather than European Renaissance look it was once known for and became a magnet to McGoohan to film his show there. A village can lose it's lure and charm with buildings that have the wrong color paint on the exterior. Too abrupt for the eye.

I've been there a couple of times. It's a wonderful place. The hotel is great. I stayed there when I went to see a gig by The Vapors.
We've been a couple of times on day trips. I'd love to stay in the Hotel one year.
Went down there for a bike ride a couple of weeks ago...
It's a lovely area of the country.

I think the exterior of No.6's flat is now the Gift shop. The inside may have been on a sound stage.
I have a question: Can anyone tell me the best way to get to the village from Liverpool without a car?

Sapete dirci qual'è il miglior modo per raggiungere il villaggio da Liverpool senza auto?
