Thank you ☺️ the idea of transitioning on my heels has been scaring me got some reason, but you always make things do-able xx will definitely be in my next practice!
Phew! Thank you so much! So far I can only transition by lifting one heel and then the other heel. For some reason I still don't feel confident lifting my toes. I'll keep trying, but it's good to know that it's not the end of the world.
I love her energy she literally helps everyone struggling to skate even tho she rolls on the rink with ease she still takes time to show people techniques...I have witnesses it my own eyes while skating.....such sweetheart and fun personality 🥰
Just started, and honestly this is the transition i can do so far rather than any else! Idk this came more natural to me :) gonna learn the rest as well though!
Hello Dirty!!! I love your videos!! Just found you!! Wanting to get back into skating after a long hiatus. I was wondering, I was looking through your videos on maintenance. I noticed that you didn’t have one on the bearings of the wheels. Was wondering if you could do one? Thank you for all you do! I’m learning so much I didn’t know before. 🙂
Dirty, I've been working on the "toe down" front-to-back transition for a couple weeks and I'm starting to be able to do it pretty smoothly... but I haven't been able to keep skating backward once I'm turned around. Do you already have a video about how to carry the transition into the backwards skating? I think I'm having trouble shifting my weight to keep velocity.
She definitely does, I don't recall the title, but I've watched it. Search thru a few with transition and backwards in the title. Best of Luck with Your practice
I've been off my skates for a while. Lacking confidence I think. My husband can turn like this and make it look so easy. I'm scared of losing my leg to the side, or falling on my butt. Thanks DD 👍👍
So, I'm coming back to this video... Anyone else jealous how Dirty always has an entire rink to herself? I was thinking about this in ice skating. Even there, I'd be stuck with everyone else having the rink too. The only place that I get to skate by myself (or with only myself +1) would be in the outdoor rink. So, the weather was never compliant. Just like today, I wanted to go outside roller skating. The nearby fire is prohibiting me from going outside and enjoying myself.
I love doing heel transitions! I originally learned it the other way, but it took WORK. And maybe all practice is why heel transitions came so easily, but all I know is heel transitions took zero effort to put together. Love all the options that come with skating.
Hello Deborah good morning how are you? How are your skating going? I have really enjoyed seeing you in your videos that you have posted. Now about me you saw me talk. I've been skating more, I've been finding it easier to walk with more speed. I am very happy that Déborah has already reached this level. There are still many things I want to continue to learn from your classes that you have been teaching. Hugs from Jaime Reis.
I came here because I noticed I transitioned differently like the person who came up to you lol Only difference is I initiate the turn with my right toe and have my left foot follow on my heel
Does it become easier to do at a moderate speed with practice? I’ve been practicing backwards skating but I notice I need to slow down DRASTICALLY before making the transition.
@@blacksheep6365 I see some people going at a moderate speed and they’re able to transition from forward to backwards without slowing down first. Also able to transition forward again at the same speed. Does it get easier to transition without having to drastically slow down?
I don't remember the title of the tutorial, but I learned how to transition this way from one of Your other videos. I think You called it accidental transitions 🤔
They asked me a question and I gave them instruction. This is an existing movement. Nothing new here. Just pushing it out to a wider audience. So Trajik78... what are you needing help with?

Tried your backwards skate tutorial and got it on the first try!! Thank you!! You’re an amazing teacher.
Always nice to have choices with the basics.
I like the "boing" with the toe! Love and light from Norway!
Your commentary on pockets is spot on 🤣

Heel transition look so clean currently practicing this move!
Been a while since I was here. The rink looks amazing!!!! ❤️
This is not FVSC. This is a private rink.
I’ve been doing it like that for 55 years, thought I was doing it wrong but I don’t care it works for me,,
Love that jacket!
good night from Barcelona (Spain) thanks for sharing. This summer more than ever to enjoy like ducks with the skates, they come back!

I love the new look of your skating rink

You teach me how to skate things so much
Love it!
This is amazing
Amazing as always! How does this type of transition work for outdoors/trail skating?
Sooo awesome !!!! A new video
I had tootsie rolls in my pocket yesterday.

# BEST UA-cam VIDEO/STAR 👍
🤣🤣I thought I was doing something wrong. That's the easiest way for me to transition
Same!!!

LOVE YOUR ENERGY❤❤💯SUBSCRIBED IMMEDIATELY‼️💯🔥🔥
This is how I learned a transition, I struggle with front truck transitions
Is there a way to do something like this when going from backwards to forwards?
I love your positive attitude! Also that isn’t your normal rink?
No. This is a private rink.

I have to have pockets in everything I wear haha
Thanks for the tips on the transition
What do you think is the best day to go to skating? What day is usually the least crowded? Maybe a Sunday or Monday ?
Realistically ... we are always busy but come on Wednesdays 10-1pm and I will help you.

I came for the skating. Stayed for the pockets.

Is it easier to skate backwards and transition to fw, or to skating for and transition to bw and keep skating?

Absolutely gets easier with practice and patience, You'll become more confident and Your body will definitely let You know when that time is.

I. Love. This. Lady!!!!!.🤩
gorgeous. :-)
Thank you! 😊
This is perfect timing for me! I just saw a girl at my rink doing this and I felt so silly cuz I couldn't do it
Hang on what happened to the fountain valley skating centre it's too colourfull
This is a private roller rink not FVSC.
Couch and coffee table on the skate floor? Lol
When you have your own rink (not mine)... you can put furniture on it! LOL!
Did the person that showed you a move that you monitized not want to get credit for it?

ayyy hellooo
