I think what makes these triple features is how Phelan's eyes light up everytime he gets to talk about the Olsen Twins. You can barely tell there was a gun to his head the whole time.
Part of the weird bakula spectacular trilogy where he gets zapped by machines, as he also had that happen in Infiltrator. Man REALLY wanted to be the guy who was sent on adventures due to malfunctioning technology well before quantum leap lol
I googled it to check if it was the same movie where they shoved a probe up a monkey's ass before it got stuck in Scott Bakula's (it's not) but one of the top image results was for these two reviewing that movie.
This was so entertaining! By the way, that was pretty important that you mentioned Ashley’s known tendencies to be disinterested in most of the crap they were doing. As soon as she hit 18, she completely stopped acting.
Yeah "camping" in my backyard was a staple of my childhood so it's pretty sad that it's likely the closest Mary Kate and Ashley ever got to doing kid activities like that was working on a set.
I'm utterly aghast that the original "You'll never be as famous as us, LIZZIE!" joke wasn't a joke! I think when that first Mary-Kate and Ashley video came out (almost 10 years ago, he realized, his bones turning to dust and blowing away on the wind), Elizabeth Olsen would have JUST been in Age of Ultron as Wanda Maximoff, so it seemed really topical.
This is my favorite feature on Movie Nights(besides BAYWATCHING). I have binged the Mary Kate playlist repeatedly. So all I have to say for newest edition is......LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! This channel has gotten me through some very dark days in my life. Thank you so much to Allison and Phelon.
Every once and awhile, I think about how, if I had money as a teenager, my dead name would be in the credits of Suburban Knights and I just kind of… stare of into the middle distance for a bit
I love that Allison and Phelous talk about _Suburban Knights_ as if its any other movie when they almost surely where there the moment someone painted a mustache on the can of Quacker. That's the power of the Olsen Twins
The Mary-Kate and Ashley Triple Features have always been my absolute favourites from you two, I'm so glad to see another one! You guys absolutely need to see The Case of the Mystery Cruise, because it is a direct sequel to their Sea World mystery one.
If you pause it at 8:31... I'm pretty sure they used a Sharpie to change it to "Poosicles," using reminiscent copyright-evading effort levels with the bonus of creating a very unwanted mental image
As a sheltered European 90's kid, the only exposure I remember having to the Olsen twins was actually a couple episodes of the Too Little Time show caught randomly on tv when i was a kid. I remember being very confused about all the hype around them (which i was vaguely aware of thanks to merch ads in Donald Duck comic books), not getting the cultural setup of the setting (driving yourself to school? are you a student or an adult with a license, which is it), and thinking their outfits were kinda skimpy and not school-appropriate lol (which i guess is the "sheltered" part). I don't think i could've seen more than a handful episodes, but these videos awaken a barely-there memory that I can't fully recall, like an itch I can't quite scratch. So, thanks for nothing i guess (No but seriously, these are always a super fun watch!)
Basically, their parents went apeshit putting these videos out after they ended up getting famous on Full House. But yeah, as a US kid I was also confused by the outfits they would wear on TV. I never went to a school that allowed tank tops or bared midriffs.
If the pool party sequence in the Birthday Party tape (as seen in the prev Triple Feature) didn't put you guys on some kind of watch list, surely 16 yr old girls getting covered in chocolate and whip cream got you put on it. Also Matthew had to suffer the cringe of several Olsen Twins videos AND Suburban Knights while editing this. What a trooper
I feel like my brain just deleted most of the stuff I found, but even the stuff I found on UA-cam for free didn't have some of these that are covered here. If anything, I probably mostly focused on the Mystery Agency ones, these Party ones were bleh and meh to me even as an adult.
With the amount of suspicious and outright confirmed predators working on children's shows in Hollywood at the time that were exposed in the past few years it is pretty scary to see how blatant the culture was that allowed them to get away with it.
It’s been too long since you two looked at Mary-Kate and Ashley videos. It’s always fun when you do them. Anyway, maybe Mary-Kate and Ashley should come back and do a new video called You’re Invited to Mary-Kate and Ashley’s Mid-Life Crisis Party.
@8:30 It looks like Phelan is wrong, the logo has carefully been altered to "Poo-sicle". And now I can only think that surely the person that changed the letter would have realized?
I haven't seen any of the other videos here with Allison and Phelous looking at Mary-Kate and Ashley videos, but like.. is this all that they are? Was there really just a whole video series about the girls going around, doing nothing at all? Was it a tv-show? How come it ran for so long? Was it like, a "cute girls doing cute things" anime-variant but real life and taking place during their whole childhood? Honestly, if that is what it was, I think a part of me feels that'd be wrong even if there WEREN'T any weird goop-sliding sequences in the episodes.
As a kid I loved Mary Kate and Ashley and I watched every single episode of their sitcoms Two of a Kind and So Little Time every day after I came home from elementary school, but they both apparently left so little of an impression on me that I completely forgot both shows ever existed until you guys started watching all these Mary Kate and Ashley videos. I do remember that even when I was at the age where kids would consume any garbage shoveled to them that I thought Two of a Kind was the far superior show of the two, though. It's really hard to watch literally anything they were in now that you know the kind of hell their lives were, and I'm so glad they were able to leave acting and started a successful fashion design career instead.
Well, credit where it is due, the "Quakers-*style* Oats" with the logo edited with a mustache is certainly the most thought ever put into the jokes of those... I want to say abstract performance art?
I also never knew that Elisabeth Olsen was related to the Olsen twins, it is a common enough name. Guess that explains why the twins have not appeared in anything in years - they got banished by Wanda to some multiversal hellscape. :P Punishment for all the teasing and bubblegum in the hair.
I recognized the bearded guy's (Dusty?) voice the second I heard it. Anybody else clock that's the caretaker from Werewolf, that MST3K movie? The one that goes "I just found out Count Dracula was a f*****"?
According to IMDB that is indeed Sam the Keeper's actor R C Bates as Dusty. The crazy old guy must've worked at the gay cowboys' ranch before the Warr-wilf incident.
I always really enjoy you subjecting Phelan to these - my sister and I watched ALL the Mary Kate and Ashley VHS tapes when we were younger and seeing how little these hold up is hilarious!
Man, couldn't have asked for anything better to watch after a crap day. You two were absolutely hilarious, and your videos really seem like checking in on old friends from time to time. Add in the perfect editing from Matt, and these are just really fantastic! Also, my favorite Mary Kate & Ashley show will always be School Dance Party, aka "I heard they're calling it 'Spring Dance Dot Com: An Evening In Cyberspace'." :D
I sure hope I don't end up on a watchlist for watching this, I mean really last thing I need is to go to Jail over a Mary-Kate and Ashley review. "What are you in for?" "I watched a review of Mary-Kate and Ashley School Dance Party."
The slowed down horror edit and the constant repetition of "momentum" over and over made me think I was listening to a meme on Red Flood France for a second
The only thing more shocking than the prior triple feature being three years ago (What is time?) is that any of the You're Invited specials survived the VHS era

I can only hope that this revisiting of Mary Kate and Ashley and Friends will eventually lead to you guys binging Full House so Phelous can get to watch his favorite actor, Dave Coulier.
Funny you mention Dan Schneider, because there kind of is some overlap with a director for about half the episodes of So Little Time, Rich Correll, who also directed several shows, mostly Disney later, but All That, The Amanda Show and several Nick shows

To be honest, Suburban Knights was actually worse than To Boldly Flee in my opinion. Like there was a lot wrong with To Boldly Flee (especially the Love Triangle subplot where a woman is supposedly heartless for not wanting to date a man who is sexually harassing her.), but at least all the characters felt like they had their moments and had stuff to do. Suburban Knights had all the characters repeating the same jokes over and over again. I always felt like Suburban Knights should've had a dark edge where all the characters got killed off over the course of the film. The only survivor is Phelous, for the sake of Irony. NC: "Oh god! Everyone is dead except for... Phelous?" Phelous: "Hey, I'm surprised too."
I don’t know if this is something you two would review , but I would love for yall to watch the late 80s movie “ dolls” I believe it was made in 87/88? Also the 90s moonbeam films ! I love Allison’s prehysteria reviews

He loves getting invited to a mystery party.
So the library at my work still has all the Mary Kate and Ashley mystery books from the 90's. What's weird is they're still popular with the kids.
I wonder if the kids know that the Olsen twins are real 😂
@@ShayLaLaLooHooand how the Scarlett witch is their little sister
Mine does too! I don’t think they go out often but they are still there after all these years and there sure are a lot of them.
Books don't date as easily as tapes, I suppose.
So glad we finally have “Good one Mary-Kate” in glorious HD
Meme it- MEME IT!
The revelation that Allison actually thought that Elizabeth was the Olsen fail sister is too too much!
"It's called 'So Little Time,' cuz there was so little JAIL TIME for the people who created this!"
Good one, Mary-Kate.
Big props to Mathew for the "Doug Style Face". That made me laugh.
Allison: "Lizzie never did anything after this!
Audience: "Ha, Good one Allison!"
Allison: "..... Yeah good one (awkward Laugh)"
"allison you idiot!"
I honestly remember thinking "man Allison is a good actress it sounds like she thinks Elizabeth is not as famous, she doesn't sound that sarcastic"
"The firsts Apple product."
How could Phelan forget the Disney/Scott Bakula classic, I-man?
Part of the weird bakula spectacular trilogy where he gets zapped by machines, as he also had that happen in Infiltrator. Man REALLY wanted to be the guy who was sent on adventures due to malfunctioning technology well before quantum leap lol
I googled it to check if it was the same movie where they shoved a probe up a monkey's ass before it got stuck in Scott Bakula's (it's not) but one of the top image results was for these two reviewing that movie.

Suburban Knights wasn't THAT bad
@@culwin😂😂😂😂
Yeah "camping" in my backyard was a staple of my childhood so it's pretty sad that it's likely the closest Mary Kate and Ashley ever got to doing kid activities like that was working on a set.
It seems to take years off Phelan's life every time he watches Mary Kate & Ashley stuff
Seems to happen to everyone that watches anything the Olsen Twins are involved with
That sundae fight was one of the clips they used in ads for this show ALL THE TIME.
Oh no
I'm utterly aghast that the original "You'll never be as famous as us, LIZZIE!" joke wasn't a joke! They actually made a direct sequel? The Ultraman Dyna to Sea World Mystery’s Ultraman Tiga?!
I feel dirty making such an analogy.
If you pause it at 8:31... I'm pretty sure they used a Sharpie to change it to "Poosicles," using reminiscent copyright-evading effort levels with the bonus of creating a very unwanted mental image

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen go to Camp Arawak to meet the new best friend Angela.

Oslen twins were executive producers on that show so they must thought the chocolate thing was a great idea.
