Is there a way to use an interface to use two Blue Nano?? There must be a way! Thank you!!
Naturally the BY sounds a little brighter than the SM7B with its built in processing, but honestly without the AB comparison the BY is hands down the winner for a beginner. I did 50 eps of my pod on a Gen 1 BY before moving to the SM7B. Yes the Shure is richer, but also MUCH less forgiving in directionality so be aware that it is MUCH easier to get 'off mic with Shure than the BY. Both are great mics. You honestly can't go wrong with the BY as first step. After that decide if it's a Shure, (or something else) . And yes by god is the Shure gain hungry ! I run it though a Rorecaster Gen 1 and have it almost fully cranked.
I use the older version of the Blue Yeti, and it works well for me. I could hear the difference - the SM7B sounded warmer, yet for the price and ease of set-up, the BY is value for money.
