Good grief, when was this? I didn't recognise Randy. Had to watch his right hand play the bass and then I really listened to the voice. Pure Randy. Don't know what I was thinking.
Randy Meisner's vocals second to none? Are you serious? He wasn't even close to the best singers in Poco or the Eagles. I put Richie Furay, Paul Cotton, Tim Schmidt, Rusty Young from Poco ahead of him. Not to mention Don Henley and Glen Frey of the Eagles.
I cannot believe I'm responding to a comment from 10 years ago, but I do so agree with you. All the guys you mentioned from Poco plus Henley and Frey (especially Henley) were miles ahead of him.
It's all a matter of personal opinion, that being said Randy's voice was phenomenal and very unique, he has the ability to convey so much emotion in his songs. Love seeing him cut loose and really rock out here!
As a singer, I agree with Bernie Leaden, that Randy and Don Henley were the superior vocalists in the Eagles.. though ofcourse Glenn and Bernie were pretty good too. Randy had an operation on his vocal chords some time after he left the Eagles which diminished his range, however he’s still got a very fine voice and stands out in Poco IMO.
@@marieweiss1634 wow, I was aware of the accident in 2013 and a bunch of other things, but I didn't know about an operation. Any idea what time.? Between the 1978 and 1980 albums or later? And I realize it's all subjective, but that 1978 album was absolutely beautiful. Never mind the fact that he didn't write any of it, but that didn't matter.
Love Randy Meisner. One of my all-time favorite musicians.
This is the most playful and confident performance I've ever seen by Randy.
+Daisy Jane Yes, looks like he's having a great time! Love it!
So agree. Love watching it😉
Meisner has an awesome voice and I particularly like this video where Poco rock it up more..
Who says POCO can't rock with the best of them. Eagles are you watching and learning POCO forever!!
Or watch them do Boomerang Live r Cmon Live
Whenever Randy Meisner sang, you had no doubt who it was. His voice was that unique, IMHO. Rusty Young...what is there to say? Simply amazing.
Love to see Randy!!!♥️
💕 Randy!
Rusty "Freaking" Young! If there's a better instrumental solo than this on UA-cam I have yet to see it. God love ya for posting this.
Well Rusty has a great solo on Boomerang but its short
This looks like it's professionally filmed and part of a larger video. I sure would love to see the whole thing.
great song...
Perfect.
randy✨☀✨
Poco Legacy era!....look out for Jack Sundrud in the background on rhythm guitar....
No this was before Jack
Great song!
Hope they come over to Europe soon! This dutch lady would love to see them.
Brings back good memories...

Completely accurate
RUSTY YOUNG, THE GREAT!
This is from the Legacy album which had the original line-up that included Randy Meisner, whose vocals are second to none.
and rusty young tears it up
Bloody hell! Is Rusty the Hendrix of pedal steel or what?. Wonderful stuff!
its just a shame that Randy kinda disappeared from the music industry after the "Legacy" tour.
Randy joined The World Classic Rockers after Legacy. He's had some health problems
!!!
Anyone know how to get a recording of this song?
Its on Pocos 'Legacy' album..
@@karenvanslyke6375 but not the live version which is way better than the album version
Too bad top 40 reaction channels don't play this stuff by Poco but then TOP 40 is afraid of innovation and long solos
maybe in this album, but he s no torig poco, timothy b schmidt was! and hes great!
Nope Timothy wasn't original
@mmannaxx George Grantham is better too.
Where's Richie??? No, this is a great video but Messina and Richie make Poco, though this lineup is OK.
Nope Ritchie was great but this is better
