      @@FrightfullyForgotten You've just gained another subscriber. There are so many reviewers who claim to be fans of 80s slashers, but have no knoweldge nor inclination to review this feature.
      I find this mad doctor to be quite chilling. And while I was disappointed by the ending, I was pleasantly chilled by this vilain.
      He is so highly underrated, and Randall William Cook is so good at displaying his menace.
      For me, the zooming of his character holding the the syringe while standing at the end of the hallway is spectacular.
      Again, thank you both so much for your passion.

    This reminds me so much Candyman (1992), where the heroine is considered to be "bonkers" by society. Helen is just trying to cope while being swallowed by this tormented demon filled with pain called Candyman. LIke Helen from I, Madman, she realizes too late that she's made a horrible choice, and her choice will cost other people their lives.
    Her life unravels, and she must either embrace or fight the demon.

    I love Jenny Wright! Speaking of "borrowing" - I just saw the Vincent Price "House of Wax" and Darkman totally stole from that. I'm curious about the video title - why was it "IMPOSSBILE" to watch, or was that just to bait us? Either way, great review as always!

    • @FrightfullyForgotten
      @FrightfullyForgotten  2 місяці тому +1

      Bit of a bait and it was Impossible to find, hence, impossible to watch! Funny speaking of House of Wax I just watched the original "Mystery at the Wax Museum" (1933) which is what House of Wax is a remake of. The Vincent Price one is better, but the original has a certain charm

    I, Madman is a pretty good film. I love the effects and it's a really neat story. I do, however, feel the lead was miscast. She is just a little bland. I found her bland in Near Dark as well. But, it's still a great movie. Some very interesting things going on here
