I listen to all of these Death interviews, taking it all in.
It provides me with immense joy.
Yet, it is a melancholic experience.
For all of these "lifting veil" conversations, you will never be able to interview the one man who could shed true light on the Death experience, and we will never be able to hear it.

Rick sounds like such a cool dude. I know there's been a lot of drama around Massacre and the bands he's been in since, so I always imagined him as difficult, but dang, he sounds like someone you want to hang out with and just listen to.

I absolutely love Death. Each and every album is perfect for what it is. I had my favorites but over the years I grew to love them all. Being a bass player I appreciate the musicianship involved in ever album regardless of the changing lineup. Steve DiGiorgio and Gene Hogland are possibly the busiest musicians in metal after all these years.R.I.P. CHUCK

I went for a walk yesterday out in the woods, snow and cold wind. I put LEPROSY on my headphones because I wanted to give it an attentive play having heard so many people online say it is " The best death metal album ever".
    It is inarguably badass.
Rick Rozz is cool, he has a lot to be proud of.

Rick Rozz is a cool dude. I am in an underground band we are not anyone special, but Rick is helping us out on our next 3 songs with a few badass solos. It is so amazing to be working with a death metal legend that I listened to when I was 12.

Voodoocult was a multinational thrash metal supergroup formed in 1993 by German Phillip Boa, vocalist of the alternative band Phillip Boa & The Voodooclub. The project was especially notable for the reputation of the participating musicians, such as Jim Martin (of Faith No More), Chuck Schuldiner (of Death), Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo, and Mille Petrozza of Kreator. The band released two albums and disbanded in 1996 after the release of the second album and a tour.

Cool interview. Rick's shirt in the 2nd photo (starting at 4:21), though it's partially obscured, I recognize it's the logo of a tiny club in New Rochelle N.Y. called "Streets", where I saw them play on the Leprosy tour. I brought a friend along who had never been to a show with moshing, stagediving, etc., and his jaw was on the floor seeing what was going on. I think he was scared, ha ha! Fun times! To this day, Leprosy is still my favorite Death album.
