Descripción:
La canción fue compuesta por el teclista Tuomas Holopainen. La misma habla acerca de la terminación de los recursos que lo seres humanos tienen como: el amor, la esperanza, el tiempo, etc. Habla sobre cómo los humanos están cambiando el mundo para mal en el que solo le queda a el ser humano ver el "fin de toda esperanza", y la única manera de cambiarlo todo es con los nuevos nacimientos, es decir, volviendo a empezar.
Century Child:
Century Child es un álbum del grupo de metal finlandés Nightwish. Es su cuarto álbum, publicado en el año 2002.
Es el primer álbum con el bajista Marco Hietala, anteriormente miembro del grupo Sinergy, quien también hace voces, reemplazando a Sami Vänskä. Century Child incluye canciones que tocan una gran variedad de temas y pensamientos en sus letras, desde la furia (en Slaying the dreamer) hasta el más completo romanticismo (en Forever yours). La producción del álbum está muy cuidada.
El disco también tiene la particularidad de incluir una versión de "El Fantasma de la Ópera" (The Phantom of the Opera), originalmente escrita por Andrew Lloyd Webber para Sarah Brightman y Michael Crawford. Esta obra también fue versionada por bandas del mundo del Gothic metal como Dreams of Sanity, Lacrimosa y Anabantha (siendo la versión de este ultimo en español).
El álbum fue platino 2x en Finlandia con más de 60.000 copias vendidas, el segundo álbum más vendido en Finlandia en el año 2002, Hoy en día, Century Child ha vendido más de 90.000 copias sólo en Finlandia.1 A nivel mundial, que vendió más de 350.000 ejemplares entre 2002 y 2003.

She is amazing ❤️ to her songs no one can singing better than her. We love this song from years with her voice and her performances . Floor's fans it's more easy to love this song with Floor's vocals, because this is an old song who probably never heard before but for me it is very difficult to accept that 😞. A perfect song can never be more perfect . That's my opinion because Tarja have a unique type of voice , very dark. Floor's capabilities maybe are more i don't know,i am not the expert but she has not that kind of darkness like Tarja has.

And likewise there are songs written specifically for Floor's era that either equal Tarja's era or come close to surpassing it. "Shoemaker" comes to mind. Tarja could never sing that.
@@kimberlyh.1090 I'm sorry but I disagree. Tarja has done harder stuff than the final part of Shoemaker, that would be a piece of cake for her, but she definitely could never sing ""Yours is an Empty Hope", "Tribal" or Anette's "Scaretale".

I just love old Nightwish. Tarja's voice is just perfect to these songs and I also love how Tuomas used Tarja's voice as an instrument. Old Nightwish is one of those that is even better live than in studio. For example End of an Era is full of amazing live versions that just hit so much harder than the studio versions. Luckily we have these old videos to remember. ❤
I agree, Tuomas knew how to use her voice to most effect. He would do wonders with her current vocals, which are way more diverse, and she would be able to contribute with the songwriting experience she achieved after going solo. Sweet dreams...hahaha

He escuchado esta misma canción con Floor Jansen y aunque tiene una muy buena voz, no me hace sentir lo que siento al escuchar a Tarja Turunen, aun recuerdo ese bendito año 2002 cuando llegó un viejo amigo y me dijo escucha.
Dicha canción fue compuesta exclusivamente para Tarja, por parte de Toumas, actualemente el estilo es diferente, Toumas jamas compondria un tema que demande dicha voz para Floor, por eso componen bellos temas para Floor que lo hace magnifico, te animo a que escuches al actual Nightwish vale la pena, si eres fan de nightwish, temas como Elan, el resmaster de Ghost love con Floor, es otro nivel...

While I firmly believe that Floor is the best singer for Nightwish (for where they currently are, and for what that requires), with this particular song there (likely) is nobody who can beat Tarja. I don't believe it is even about who is technically more capable. For starters, the this video's audio is either a mix between live and studio recording, or a completely remastered/pimped version of the live track. From actual live recordings, in which Tarja is neither technically perfect, it is actually her subtle imperfections (like e.g. her almost primal/animalistic snarls and a raw anger that hide underneath her singing voice) that make that Floor can probably never really beat Tarja on this song. Both are brilliant artists/professionals in their own right. But as for this song, it's Tarja all the way (for me). #JM2C
