The books are most probably returns. So now the company will sell the skip full of books as they will get paid for the weight of the skip, then after claim it back on insurance as damaged stock. I know this because I've worked for a book warehouse before.

Coppers do six weeks training and are no better than SIA when it comes to law, some videos I have seen them on their phones checking the laws while their partners enquire what the situation is. The SIA probably state if the company has rules of no photography inside that that they don't get it expanded to where or who can or can't. I do know most companies will have a procedure book that covers security for these guys to read if they can read that is 😊 so really down to what the company covers in the end

Nobody cares if you are 1st 2nd 3rd 8th or 10,000th ffsk what a bunch of attention seekers.
1st Security guard was quite friendly and approachable, even if he didn't really understand the law. At least he admitted he didn't know and wasn't (like some), trying to stop DJ just because he 'thought' it wasn't legal. He stood and politely listened while DJ explained the law, so fair play to him.
2nd guy was ok too. He did his job, but again, was polite and friendly.
I know everyone wants to see conflict, and pick faults with security at any opportunity, but I couldn't fault either of them.
Not surprised to see Frankie Boyle's book in the skip lol it was always toilet paper.
The lady in hi viz was polite too, even if she didn't really understand drone laws, so she politely listened and passed the information on. The bloke on the other end of the radio was the numpty calling the police when he didn't understand the law himself.

One of their contracts was to destroy unsold books and DVD's, this allowed them to reclaim any royalties that may have been paid out. The DVD's were scored on a spike, dipped to salvage the coating and then granulated for reuse. The books were ripped apart, shredded and then pulped. We processed many thousands of each every day.

The security industry is overrun by immigrants at the moment, that in itself is'nt a bad thing as not many UK citizens care to work security, but why are they not trained in photography law?. All they seem to know is,,,, not allowed. Train these people correctly because they can only work with what they know and that makes them look bad.
You can only do a job properly if you have the right tools.👊

first off please put subtitles when we are getting a video with security like this please,, any idea what language this is ? senegalese ? Bongolese? love the way he smacked his own neck.... 2nd security again subtitles would be handy ... .. funny how the security get so dumbfounded when yo utel lthem your going to do it anyway from public land,,, its like surely not ? you mean in the uk your do not have to get permission to think for yourself ? strange that in their country you can walk down the road with a AK47 full clip firing bullets in the air and armed to the teeth, yet they come here and are scared of a camera or drone ? then we get the female security who is sos ure she has power UNTIL you told her your proof of it.. and whoever she talked to in the building is also thinking above his station not realy havinga clue.. if yo uwere doing 70 mph down that road the police can nick you for speeding.. they couldnt if it was a private road.... .. then we come to the plank who thinks the site owner has power to stop a drone over their buildings.. His bottle completly went when he was told you were filming for evidence... he then realised what he had been told was total crap...... he called the police and yet he is not the land owner and should of not got involved.... someof these so called private parks for trading estates have no clues about public right of way, public footpaths and public roads...... if you trip over on one of their so called private paths would they pay out ? of course not...

I find that really nasty, throwing away books like that, they could be donated to schools, old people's homes, hospitals, homeless shelters etc. Trees have been cut down for the paper, workers have toiled to make them, the government has collected tax from wages, so it feels wrong.

    • @tobysherring1369

If they had any value they would be given away or sold at low price. Businesses don't throw away perfectly good stuff. They are probably misprints, damaged stock, trial runs, etc.

@@tobysherring1369 I remember when I worked at Focus, sometimes the manager would have several of us out at the skip destroying excess stock so no one would have it from the skips for free. Now I work in a charity shop, we can only physically take so much stuff, the rest gets thrown out in the skips, when I first started there 5 years ago it was a shock and I really hated it, now, I just have to put it out of my mind as much as possible because that's how it is. But not nice seeing peoples' fragile items that they have carefully packed to prevent damage and hoping they will find a new loving home, just thrown away like rubbish.

it looks to me that milton does own the road, but the council has paid for the bus stop. By doing so the public has a financial interest but the land remains private. Obviously from a legal point it is private property but remains publicly accessible. Trespassing someone simply because they have a camera would prejudice them for exercising freedom of expression.

None of these people want to know the law, they thunk they know the law, and some have common sense, most have none at all, hence the constant educating they DJ has to do, I compliment DJ for his patience, some of these moros are so up themselves , they chat a load of pure Unadulterated nonsense. I would have lost my patience , and he jusst them get on with it. Calling popos. Again some popos are also very stupid, and they are supposed to be the law upholders. Sad. World we live in.
