This $20 watch has such bang for buck! I've gone surfing, cliff diving, snorkeling, hiking, river trekking wearing this HDA and it still wears and works like brand new (minus a few scuffs which gives it personality). I'd go as far as to say that this is a baby analog G-Shock. Highly recommend this truly remarkable watch!

100% agree with your review. Mine's in white dial, bought it for $15 as a replacement for my AE-1200, i like this watch for the bullbar, 10 year battery, legibility and 100M WR. It's my daily watch, lots of dings, bumps and it still works flawlessly. And the bullbar does the job well 😁👍

From what I read online, HD stands for "Heavy Duty" as others have mentioned, and it's what Casio calls their watches with 10-year battery and 100m water resistance :) I got a similar model without that wire guard, MW600F-2AV, for $14 plus change on Amazon. It's been over 5 years now and the battery is still going strong, and the bands show no sign of cracking. I wish I could buy this watch when I was a broke college student some 30 years ago :)

Back in the 90s, i bought 2 timex that i brought when i went rice field farming they both broke in less than a year. Then i bought this casio hda and it survived hard labor for 3 years until i lost it somewhere. i still have 1 in my small collection, but my eyesight is now poor that i cant see the hourhand in dim lighting
That's a pretty good watch for $20!! I'd even pay $30 for a mineral crystal!; It's great that the second hand hits the markers unlike my far more expensive Tissot PRX!

@@nivedofficial Yes, but to me it was disappointing. I can confirm that It is small like a kids watch, yet unnaturally thick. Due to being small, the dial is uncomfortable to read and the bullbar obstructs the dial making it even worse. Lume sucks. As much as I was hyped for this watch, I literally wore it for like a week and then sold it. Got the W-86 instead and I'm super happy with it as a utility watch.
Love the look, though the cheap strap will fail way before that 10-year battery. I’d like to see a higher end version of this watch with the same aesthetic.

Definitely a cool little dive watch . I did the hydro mod and really dig it ! The stem was difficult to remove. Not many clear videos so I searched the actual Miyota movement and found much better photos.

I owned the original version of the watch in the 1990's. Mine was a great beater. No lume on the original, this is a great update.

recent years i am into smaller case watches around 33 to 37mm.... this looks as if it is about 37mm but actually nearly 40mm! case width !

I wonder if the movement in this watch could be put into the Duro. The only thing the Duro lacks is a 10 year battery life.
The Casio 2719 module is a 10 year analog caliber used in edifice and heavy duty casios. Could it be used in the Duro?

I've owned this watch and the bars are too intrusive and obscure the hands. Better to spend a little extra and get a G-Shock or Ironman.

The strap can be changed out but a nato might be hard to put on this. Probably won't fit properly.
