- MG has launched its ultra compact electric offering, the Comet EV, in India. We have also compared the price of the Comet EV with those of its rivals.
MG Comet EV Price: The Comet EV starts at Rs 7.98 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom pan India).
MG Comet EV Colours: It is available in two dual-tone and three monotone paint options: Apple Green with Starry Black, Candy White and Starry Black, Aurora Silver, Candy White and Starry Black.
MG Comet EV Seating Capacity: It can accommodate up to four people.
MG Comet EV Battery Pack and Range: The Comet EV packs a 17.3kWh battery pack which offers a claimed range of up to 230km. Its rear-wheel drive (RWD) electric motor is rated to produce 42PS and 110Nm. Talking about its charging time, it takes up to seven hours to rejuvenate the battery using a 3.3kW charger.
MG Comet EV Features: The ultra compact EV comes with LED headlamps and tail lamps, integrated digital screen setup (10.25-inch unit each for infotainment and instrumentation) with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and over 55 connected car features, and keyless entry.
MG Comet EV Safety: Safety is ensured by dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchors, reverse parking camera and rear parking sensors.
MG Comet EV Rivals: The Comet EV doesn’t have any direct rivals in India, but it takes on the Tata Tiago EV and the Citroen eC3.

There was a battery car earlier available in India called "Reva". It was under 2 lakhs. 2 seater 3 door car. Later Mahindra acquired the model and re-delivered under e2o for 4-6 lakhs. Now stopped the production.

Looking at the specs, i feel Tiago is definitely a value for money one. The parameters and dimensions of this car is far below in all aspects except for a nearly matching torque. Primarily meant to be a city car, but doesn't have even a litre boot to keep a bag of grocery or vegetables..❤ Tiago
If you want to get same mileage you have to spend more for Tiago...that means you can't use same cost Tiago for long drives...cons of this machine is like of fast charging...other than that this is a perfect urban commute vehicle.
