Looks very impressive for sure, but it won't be long before flagship devices from all manufacturers can perform such video boosting on the device itself. Google is merely giving us a taste of the future here. I would like a guarantee from Google though that, with their boosting and editing happening on their servers, they don't have plans to hide such features, even in part, behind a paywall in the near future.
I think they'll be giving more than a feast. Not just a simple taste. Google has been working on Ai for the past 10 years. Codenamed computiational photography. Google has the infrastructure to be able to do this. Other companies will have to play catch up.
I really hope the others will copy this ... And would be nice to have it without the upload, of course. Let's do what Samsung will bring in their next event .
Dude, Google has been doing this shit from wayy back. Google offers 6 months of free 2tb storage to pixel users, unlimited photos upload and soo many features that were released wayy earlier and still no paywalls. Why ? Because Google is not like those other shitty companies out there man.
