You can't really see the 100 fps if the video is recorded at 60 fps or if the person viewing the video doesn't have at least 100hz monitor. 100 fps does really look better than 60, especially when you are used to what 60 looks like and then you switch over. But it is a little more subtle.

The reason behind that is that some people's brain are quick to pick up information and adapt to what they're seeing, and others need more information (60-144fps) to receive that information and make logic of what they perceive. Or let's not say logic, but to capture a fluid image of what they're seeing. That's exactly why you have people noticing the 60 and others who don't. Now, question would be: "What do you prefer?" Me, from my perspective, I prefer not noticing. I literally can plain between 30 and 60 and not seeing the difference. I only start to see a tiny difference at 22-24.
For the 5fps, I was counting the frames (not hard to do) and it was probably closer to 5 frames per 2 seconds. Even if I'm off some, it was certainly not 5fps.
That happens because the refresh rate of the video is not synced with the frame rate of the screen, the game is 5fps but the screen is still refreshing at 60Hz that may cause some "disappearing" frames
@@almeida0000 a 60 hz screen should display every frame of a 5 fps input without dropping anything. Every 6th refresh would be a new frame. It's just a half assed video, the guy literally showed 2 fps gameplay instead of 5 fps.
I had a Celeron 1005M laptop with integrated graphics and 4gb ram and the experience was so painful. 800x600 with 50% frame scaling (400x300) at the lowest settings and I had 15 fps. Now I have an RTX 3060 laptop with 16gb of ram and 5th gen ryzen 5 and I can play with 100+ fps at 1080p highest settings (no advanced settings turned on) even with 1,25x frame scaling
The first time I completed the game on 10fps....full game, without any cheats or mods 😂 Then after that I played the game on 30fps and it looked like 120fps to my eyes after playing with 10fps for long time 😂😂😂
this was me but with the minecraft sky factory modpack average of 10 fps with spikes as low as 0 this was because i was on a laptop and back then i was a bit bad but could still get the occasional win in pvp at this framerate and then once i got to playing pvp on an actual desktop i IMMEDIATELY got much better lol

I played with a Phenom x2 550Be and a Radeon HD 6950. I had only 20-24FPS. And at the beginning the message my pc did not meet the minimum requirements but for that it went surprisingly well
The difference between 20fps and 24fps is amazing. While 20fps would be the absolute minimum I'd want to play any game with, 30fps is where things really start getting "smooth." It seems to me, that unless you're playing first person shooters, 60 fps is more than enough for anything.
Years ago we were all playing games on our ps2 or Xbox 360 at sub 30 fps and it was amazing, now everybody is arguing you need at least 60 for it to be playable. People need to stop whining and just enjoy a game
I don't think this is a good example, fps difference is mostly noticable with sidewards motion in small rooms and rotation, because there the whole scenery is moving fast. Maybe that sounds weird for some, but if you look at 60 fps on 2:27 for example and imagine how fast those polls would go across the screen if you were to just turn 90 degress while standing infront of them, then you'd notice that it is way faster than going next to them with a car in GTA. With sideways motion a 2 meter distant wall is obviously gonna cross the screen faster than a mountain at 2km distance.I remember playing on an intel APU laptop and trying to rotate as least as possible (like going straight, turning 90° to the right and going straight foward again, instead of doing curves, because it was extremely stuttery at what I would now estimate 15 fps) The problem with "fast" motion by driving is, that the motion gets faster the closer it is to you, so basicallly only the road directly beneath you and trees and polls already passing by.
The problem is small objects moving fast. This is mainly a problem in flying shooters, so very rare. Even there, with motion blur a comparable small framerate is fine.
I played my first GTA V (pirate version) 2-3 playthroughs with 10-20fps somewhere around 2014-2015 I believe - it was fun but really REALLY *REALLY* slow, and Istill enjoyed the game very much. After I bought the game from steam in 2015 when it was officially released I got to around 40-60fps that was huge fps rise.

Yes, that's the only reason to care about frame rates much about 25fps. But, the benefits can be a bit iffy if you're playing over the net with a server that adjusts things to make them match up with what you expect.

60-80 fps the sweetest spot for me. Anything over 60 fps gives smoothest experience. 1080p high at 60 FPS is what I want my laptop to run all the games at
At 10fps you can still count 1,2,3 within a second counting the frames. That would suggest that a factor of approximately 3 could be at work here. In the end you can set a game to a higher fps but it will not guarantee that it is showing you that exact fps.
As someone who was around when console games ran at about 24-30 fps at 576i PAL res on crt displays, I'd say a locked 30 fps is doable in slower paced single player games. 60fps is where things become smooth but there's still some ghosting. The next noticeable threshold is 90 fps, that's easily distinguishable from 60. 120 fps and up is ultra smooth.

This is a good comparison for people who are not in the know. I am currently running my play on a solid 60fps and its all it really needs for standard play. On the enhanced edition of GTAV online the game for me runs as good as flawlessly, the movement is fluid, when the graphics are turned up to max it is good enough to be supported with 60fps I know this because I play it every night. Its good enough for video and play alike. Good video bro. ❤

For me 30 fps is enough. I like more better graphics. So i always run the games in 4k and with my 1070GTX i can get normally 25-50 fps. Textures quality and sight are always at maximum, the rest depends on the game. For example in the nextgen WItcher i had between 25-35fps and it was looking great an also much fun to play.

The 5 fps reminds me of when I tried Age of Empires 3 with 7 opponents and when the NPCs had their villages in the 3rd era. There were a few small armies running around in the black area, it still worked when I had most of my people on one island. As soon as I tried to mine things with a few people on the mainland and two three armies came by, then things really went into the basement, with the fps. It was on an AMD X2 6000+ and 2 GByte + 1 Gbyte upgradet DDR2 Ram and HD3650 with 512MByte GDDR2, the game was from 2005 and Most of my PC was from 2007 as a budget PC bought in September 2008. My then new GPU HD6850 Cyclone in 2011 didn't make things any better, it was bored. My i7 4790k eats the game for breakfast and is bored with it. It was a very satisfying feeling to start the game for the first time and expect that it won't defeat my PC.
1 FPS isn’t playable? You want to try playing Fsllout New Vegas Ultimate Edition on the ps3 after you’ve played around 250 hours plus. I could only dream of 1 frame per second then, more often I’d get a frame every 5-10 seconds! 100 FPS has way less blurry pictures in fast moving scenes compared to 60 FPS. I learned that the average human vision is around 60 FPS, so in other words, 100 FPS is just 60 FPS with clear and sharp visual in fast moving scenes, thus giving an illusion of smoother motion
In my experience, 37-47 FPS is the lowest for both a playable and fun experience in GTA V. 57-60 would be the ideal range. Anything above 60 is perfect, obviously. But I have played GTA V with fps between 15 - 27, so I know how terrible the game can be too. Still, I played 2 hours worth of GTA V's Campaign on 15 - 22 FPS on a Dual Core CPU and 760mb Vram PC back when it first launched on PC. I would never recommend that, but I still had fun.
I think 50 or 60 fps is more than enough, anything over that is just overkill, game developers could use that processing power for more enhanced graphics as opposed to higher frame rates, just my personal opinion...
game development doesnt work like that. on pc everyone has different hardware which is way game developers let us change how the game looks so it can perform well for everyone's hardware. you cant just design it for 60 fps.

In this game biggest killer of fps is grass which is badly optimized n shadows both these together it makes heavy fps drop.

At 10fps you can still count 1,2,3 within a second counting the frames. That would suggest that a factor of approximately 3 could be at work here. In the end you can set a game to a higher fps but it will not guarantee that it is showing you that exact fps.
This was the first game where I felt 60fps. I spend some good hours min-maxing my graphics for it to run beautiful and smooth on my deceased GTX 760

As someone who was around when console games ran at about 24-30 fps at 576i PAL res on crt displays, I'd say a locked 30 fps is doable in slower paced single player games. 60fps is where things become smooth but there's still some ghosting. The next noticeable threshold is 90 fps, that's easily distinguishable from 60. 120 fps and up is ultra smooth.

Once I got above 20 FPS I didn't notice much of a difference anymore.

This is a good comparison for people who are not in the know. I am currently running my play on a solid 60fps and its all it really needs for standard play. On the enhanced edition of GTAV online the game for me runs as good as flawlessly, the movement is fluid, when the graphics are turned up to max it is good enough to be supported with 60fps I know this because I play it every night. Its good enough for video and play alike. Good video bro. ❤

I had the game in PS3 then bought it angain for PC, the difference was big.
The days of playing games like Crysis and Far Cry 2 at 26fps.... Then finally upgrading my pc in 2013 and realizing how much smoother **everything** was at 60+ fps... Good times

na real de 15 pra cima ja fica mais tranquilo ainda mais se o fps ficar travado, ja abaixo de 15 é bem ruim mesmo. mas tambem vai depender do jogo, tem jogo q mesmo com fps baixo fica tranquilo de jogar ja outros abaixo de 60 ou 30 fica uma merda.
inclusive jogos bem antigos rodavam com fps bem baixo, uma dica q dou é tentar acelerar o jogo usando cheat engine por exemplo, ja fiz isso em alguns jogos e funcionou bem em outros fica pior ou não acontece nada.

I've played entire games at around 10 fps on the N64. At the 20 fps mark I was already like "yeah that's super playable lol".
For me 30 fps is enough. I like more better graphics. So i always run the games in 4k and with my 1070GTX i can get normally 25-50 fps. Textures quality and sight are always at maximum, the rest depends on the game. For example in the nextgen WItcher i had between 25-35fps and it was looking great an also much fun to play.
I usually do the same, sacrifice fpses for better quality, even if the fps simetimes drops below 20.

The 5 fps reminds me of when I tried Age of Empires 3 with 7 opponents and when the NPCs had their villages in the 3rd era.
There were a few small armies running around in the black area, it still worked when I had most of my people on one island.
As soon as I tried to mine things with a few people on the mainland and two three armies came by, then things really went into the basement,
with the fps. It was on an AMD X2 6000+ and 2 GByte + 1 Gbyte upgradet DDR2 Ram and HD3650 with 512MByte GDDR2, the game was from 2005 and Most of my PC was from 2007
as a budget PC bought in September 2008. My then new GPU HD6850 Cyclone in 2011 didn't make things any better, it was bored.
My i7 4790k eats the game for breakfast and is bored with it. It was a very satisfying feeling to start the game for the first time and expect that it won't defeat my PC.

I’m happy with 20fps, 10 is playable but probably a little frustrating but I guess it depends on the game.

100 FPS has way less blurry pictures in fast moving scenes compared to 60 FPS. I learned that the average human vision is around 60 FPS, so in other words, 100 FPS is just 60 FPS with clear and sharp visual in fast moving scenes, thus giving an illusion of smoother motion

In my experience, 37-47 FPS is the lowest for both a playable and fun experience in GTA V. 57-60 would be the ideal range. Anything above 60 is perfect, obviously. But I have played GTA V with fps between 15 - 27, so I know how terrible the game can be too. Still, I played 2 hours worth of GTA V's Campaign on 15 - 22 FPS on a Dual Core CPU and 760mb Vram PC back when it first launched on PC. I would never recommend that, but I still had fun.
30 FPS is completely playable and fun that's how it ran on PS3 and Xbox 360

I think 50 or 60 fps is more than enough, anything over that is just overkill, game developers could use that processing power for more enhanced graphics as opposed to higher frame rates, just my personal opinion...
game development doesnt work like that. on pc everyone has different hardware which is way game developers let us change how the game looks so it can perform well for everyone's hardware. you cant just design it for 60 fps.

With a good motion blur, the motion looks fluent at about half of the fps.
