I think they made it faster so that it's more practical
One of the most iconic voices in Tekken, is Yoshimitsu's stab making a "splash!" voice :) others being Jack's ko scream, Bryan's T3-T5 laugh, Law's T3-T5 war cries and King's T3-T5 roars. too bad they changed most of these in the modern games

You're using a different sword stab in tekken 8.
The correct input is B,B+1+4

It's not, B,B1+4 is a completely different move, it's not even a stab, it strikes horizontally
Tekken 3 was my favourite Yoshimitsu design, both P1 and P2. for me the real Yoshimitsu is Samurai one from early tekken games. Tekken 7 kind of ruined the Yoshimitsu for me, never liked that weird squid design, also that ending with Leo was embarassing hahah :D both design & ending made me drop the character off of my favourites :D
