  • This is a fun video uploaded in early August 2019 and made public in early September 2019. This video shows the vacation that I have been planning for months and that we have been saving for for years. Overall we did too much and were exhausted when all was said and done. Still I wanted to share so that others could learn from my mistakes or see ideas of thing they might want to do or not do.

    I found you! yay!
    Well, I didn't see any Rollators, but I would have had mine so that is something to sit on. I can't do all that walking either.
    I love that first shot of Mwezi on the plane. She looks like, "So this is what it is going to be like." haha
    Whoa! That is my idea of a BLT, too! Plus, I found that you can cook up some bacon strips and put them in a hot dog bun. Perfect fit! All the food looked good, too.
    I'm glad you know the difference between the different kinds of animal care. So many people think all of it is bad, but it is not. Being able to stay overnight must have been great!
    I noticed that two of the animals had ordered something from Amazon! haha
    HARRY POTTER! Did you try any of the candies or butter beer? I would have so been with you on that walkabout!
    You most likely got sick from all the walking and the sun. We don't have a choice, but things are so crammed and you barely get to take a breath. So, sorry you missed the last day, but Mwezi went and that is good.
    Yeah, I guess you do look like sisters to some, but not to me. And in the 60s and 70s, I was always the person picked for whatever inspection...like, even, going through the tunnel to Canada. I was stopped in stores twice and accused of stealing, which of course I hadn't. But it is embarrassing. I can imagine my traveling post 9/11. Nice that you can get those passes!
    Anyway, you are home safe and sound and the cats look like they are telling you off for going away (including the other post with the water colors).
    So happy you had a good time anyway! Did you take the chunnel from Paris to London?

    TFS your wonderfull trip ! I dont know if you realised but the guy standing next to you whilst you were feeding the giraffe's is Tony Robinson ! He's a really famous TV comedian (Baldrick in Blackadder) and presenter (Time Team) in the UK. I recognised him straight away he's on TV so often. Really enjoyed the sights you shared Thank You

    LOL...I said the same thing about the Mona when I saw it. I was like...Thats It? I was expecting it to be this HUGE...its tiny. The crowd was the most interesting part, still was a great experience glad you had a chance to go. The palace is cool...but yeah its a bit of a drive if I recall correctly. Fun vid :).

      thank you! Yes I was almost offended by how small it was. yes it was a crazy long drive to get to the palace so i am glad we had a tour group to go with. I am glad you liked the video.

    Hey did you know you that you not only got to feed girraffes, but you got to do so with Sir Tony Robinson [en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Robinson](British actor and Television host)? I loved the London Zoo. I'll have to include it if I get to London, especially the overnight tour. The Louve and the British Museum? Woman that's a hell of an opportunity! I'm a little jealous, but so happy for you! Thank you so much for taking us along{IG @pigmentsofurimagin8ion}

    I agree that the Mona Lisa was kind of unimpressive. The main reason it's famous is because of its provenance, as it's been stolen in an infamous art heist; in fact, many experts don't even consider it his best work. Lastly, it's so tiny you can hardly see it over the crowd holding up their cellphones and cameras to take pictures that have been taken millions of times before. A much more impressive painting (in many ways) is Rembrandt's The Night Watch, which is housed in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. It's about 12' wide by 14' long, completely dwarfing Mona Lisa and (in my not-an-art-expert opinion) a better painting in general.
    And regarding Versailles, there's a fun documentary you can find on UA-cam on how badly the palace and the people inside it stank during the 17th century due to their poor hygiene and sanitation practices.

      All so true! I will check that video out! Being in Versailles it was a little frustrating that it was so packed that I couldn’t find out what things were actual original and what’s recreation since the French public MESSED the place UP! It was crazy.
      Oh I recently fell in love w Rembrandt and I know exactly the painting you mean. I was also impressed by the painting of George Washington crossing the Delaware. That painting was huge! So big! Now you got me wanting to to go to the Met museum and try to see the biggest paintings they have! 😳😱😂
