2 strokes are good for high acceleration and for overall straight line roads, but if you are riding in town, I would totally build another gas bike but with a 4 stroke instead. 4 strokes are great by not having to carry your own fuel, haha, being more quiet around town, and better for cruising and shifting without having to stay in high rpm's, and being I would say more reliable. The white smoke when kicking after it stalled on bridge is the oil and carbon deposits on the top of the piston and exhuast opening burning from running so hot and lean. Mixing gas literally takes 2 extra mins. You pour the oil in and fill it with how many gallons you need, usually you make 5Gal's at a time, in the 5Gal jugs. Then with two of those full, you can ride basically the entire weekend on a 250/300cc 2-stroke. @kitsune3736 lol I left a fairly detailed comment with many tips in a separate comment.... Also keep in mind this is someone who took a dmv style corse so he should kno....
Hey surronster!! A couple tips when riding a manual bike. When coming to stops, you want to do what they call rev matching. Also work on slowly releasing the clutch. You’re burning your clutch while adding a lot of power (gas) but honestly I love that you’re trying something new! ❤
First rev matching is also not legal you gotta note that, second when he gets going he has to give more gas and not rev when slowly releasing the clutch. These are not hate its just to note if he sees your comment
in sixth when you're pinned it sounds like its starving for fuel, get you're carb cleaned, or check for kinks or blockages in the fuel line. or maybe it could be overheating, so always check your coolant levels. if you're far from home, you can always put water in it, just remember to change it to coolant as soon as possible. also, if you buy just 2stroke OIL then you can fill up at a standard gas station and mix it 2 to 1 fuel to oil. (one two stroke oil bottle is far easier to carry and cheaper than all those fuel bottles.) also, I would suggest buying a surron upgrade rear foot brake. the two levers are really dangerous.
Yeah I'm thinking the gas tank is got a tony vent an notballow good flow that's why when he stops it's fone after a min once it get the carb filled again
2 Stroke rules the streets ❤ By the way its running really badly, i believe it's running lean, i can: 1. hear it, the rpm's like to float and it just does not return to idle like it should and 2. see it thanks to the white smoke from the carbon buildup releasing after the bike cools down again after overheating, finally 3. The tank does not have a pressure reliever that i know of, so theres excess pressure in the tank creating air pockets = random changes in the fuel/air ratios. You need size your jet up, adjust the needle clip, by my experience if it bogs down it needs to be lifted up, correct me if im wrong. At 10:14 your clutch is slipping, or it's normal, depends if it wants to go with you on the bike, test this by sitting on the bike, holding the clutch, putting it in gear and see if it wants to pull. If it does you need to 1. Adjust your clutch on the clutch lever, if that does not work 2. Buy new clutch plates and clutch cable. Love from Finland! 🇫🇮
i dont think clutch slip is why the tire turns, the transmission shaft still spins when the clutch is pulled in which can make the tire spin when there is no resistance even in neutral

Something is up with the carb that's why it stalls in 6 gear pinned and also no need to stomp on the gear shifter u can break it and shift when the rpms get a bit high after the power band
The bike runs to lean. Its easy to hear because it bogs out and screams to death on high rpm. With this carb setting and riding it takes no time till the pistons says bye bye😂
Hey, @surronster the reason your wheel spins when you hold the clutch is because you clutch is broke. You can ride without the clutch but its not good and thats why you pop the front wheel up when you go in 1st. Pls reply.
You need to tune your carburetor. Next time it stalls when you’re moving, try pulling the clutch in, drop to a lower gear and let go of the clutch to see if it’ll start back up. Your clutch is probably toast at this point

The tire spinning when off the ground means the clutch isn’t fully disengaging so you need to adjust the clutch cable so it pulls on the clutch more, that should fix that problem
Yo surronster from the perspective of a gas bike rider if you want to cruise on a gas bike you want to keep it in a higher gear with mid rpms and takingoff from a stop you want to find the friction point on that clutch but 2 strokes will jump alot so with cruising you want to probably hold the clutch in you probably shouldve done a 4 stroke build your not ready for a 2 stroke yet
Ronster has the engine tuned properly, other jet in carburetor and cable of the gearbox adjusted. 2 stroke machines need more adjustment than a 4 stroke engine. Keep up the good work bro 👍👍👍
LOL. No it isn't. That bike is running lean AF and is overheating when he was pinning it in 6th. The clutch is not adjusted correctly either. That bike needs a full tune up. He also needs to run more oil because premix is garbage, especially for how he rides.
@@mellamojay2 yea idk what this guy is yapping about you can just hear the bike bog down horribly, the revs floating like crazy and the clutch slipping 😭

I believe you need to tune the carburetor for your elevation. That would probably help in 6th pinned and when taking off in 1st. You might also have problems with either your reeds or your power valve
Also another thing might be the gas ratio. Everyone will tell you to use what they do because "that worked for them" but you need to get everything dialed first and then test what works for you

You’re understanding why gas is fun. Even just revving the engine, is fun. The reason the wheel was still turning is because you were in gear. The clutch is disengaged because of springs. They merely take pressure off of the clutch plates. They don’t completely disengage the same as shifting into neutral. Clutch plates are like a sandwich that is spread apart when clutch is pulled and put together when clutch is released. Maybe bad analogy.
Basically the bikes tire should not be moving while the clutch is fully in but al it means is that the clutch isn’t fully engaged to you just have to tighten the clutch
Idk much about how 2 strokes are typically set up but many bikes have a "wet clutch" meaning they're submerged in oil, even when they're separated the oil is spinning which sortof connects them in a way. Typically, maybe always, wet clutches are sandwiches of many plates instead of just one clutch and one flywheel, which magnifies that effect. or it could just be too tight lol
Make sure your pulling in the clutch all the way when you up shift or down shift Also when your coming to a stop pull in the clutch and down shift to first or neutral Tips to help you take off more efficiently ( Barely give the bike gas and gradually let out the clutch when you feel that you start moving give it more gas and drop the clutch completely
Hey surronster, I am wondering what the best e bike or e moto I can get under AUD $1500 to go to work and back everyday, preferably something fast and is reliable Kind regards, Asher
One reason he might not be taking off well is that his gearing is wrong. You already know it is a GOOD DAY WHEN SURRONSTER POSTS 🎉❤

Quick tip, when up shifting if you match the rpms just right, you can shift without needing to pull the clutch.
100% agreed. its a mix of the bike not running right, ronster not knowing how to ride, and the wrong mix. for riding that aggressively on an engine like that id use more oil.@@Destinyyz
@@mellamojay2it wasnt overheating it wa sstarving of fuel because it isnt flowing , also it is completely normal that the tire is spinning when he lifts it up
2:18 that Rivian wanted to race 😮
I give this video a thumbs up, because the video was still uploaded with all of the experience's! 🤣
only real surronster fans can like !!!
I suggest you stick to electric bro, Or buy a different gas bike to learn on. Buy a 4 stroke, Its not good to pin a 2 stroke very long.
You Can pin a 2 stroke very Long of you maintain it good i think his problem is definitely the clutch he toasted it
if its tuned right, you can pin it all day long
Love your vids, would love to see a 125cc or 250 build🔥🔥🔥🔥
125 or 250 would have surronster on his ass first ride too much power for his ass not knowing how to get in gear he just gonna rev it way up and drop the clutch in gear and fly off the back watch😂 he need to learn how to get it in gear. Broward v help.
@@skippy710 isnt he riding a 250 in the vid
@4chr no that sounds like a 65cc
2:41 forgot to downshift 😂
I believe you need to tune the carburetor for your elevation. That would probably help in 6th pinned and when taking off in 1st. You might also have problems with either your reeds or your power valve
Also another thing might be the gas ratio. Everyone will tell you to use what they do because "that worked for them" but you need to get everything dialed first and then test what works for you
I watched this twice and it still hits!
How the fuck did you watch it twice it's just got upload 9 minutes ago my math ain't Mathing
Get your botted ass out of here

Definitely what old mate said. Gas tank not venting properly (blocked breather hose) incorrect float height in the carburettor, or jetting is off.
I've never laughed so hard in my life 😂 we need more gas Ron
Dear Surronster, watching your videos is awesome which is my point of this comment. People who need stuff to watch look for your channel to pop up on their fyp but every week only one video is out maybe but rarely two. So it would be greatly appreciated by me and the whole community if you could make more videos of anything really like riding w Jim or just riding. Hopefully you will take this consideration and post at least 3 times per week I know you have a life outside of UA-cam but please this makes you money and people love you.
-Thanks, Matt
THAT SOUNDED SOOO BEAUTIFUL IN THAT TUNNEL
The sound man it's fire 🔥🔥
You’re understanding why gas is fun. Even just revving the engine, is fun.
The reason the wheel was still turning is because you were in gear. The clutch is disengaged because of springs. They merely take pressure off of the clutch plates. They don’t completely disengage the same as shifting into neutral. Clutch plates are like a sandwich that is spread apart when clutch is pulled and put together when clutch is released. Maybe bad analogy.
that 2 stroke sounds amazing!!!
Make sure your pulling in the clutch all the way when you up shift or down shift
Also when your coming to a stop pull in the clutch and down shift to first or neutral
Tips to help you take off more efficiently ( Barely give the bike gas and gradually let out the clutch when you feel that you start moving give it more gas and drop the clutch completely
That sad cat music has you missed the fist bump, had me laughing more than I should’ve 😂
Yo love the videos Just want you to keep on going for your dreams.

dont listen to the hate, i like that your getting into gas bikes too
Hey surronster,
I am wondering what the best e bike or e moto I can get under AUD $1500 to go to work and back everyday, preferably something fast and is reliable
Kind regards, Asher
Surronster finally knows how fun clutch is
One reason he might not be taking off well is that his gearing is wrong. One way to fix it might be to flip the back tire around and take out the the transfer shaft and make it one long chain on the left side. if he cant do that than he should put a bigger gear on the back than front. Love the videos Sur Ronster just giving advice.
When you over heat the engine wate a minute or so to turn it back on. Dont flor it in 6th gear for so long inso it dosnt over heat
Love the conversion pretty dope! :)
bro,you should use a higher quality 2 stroke mix for that engine.bel ray motul or something for race bikes. That pre mix is for weed wackers and leaf blowers and such, not high performance stuff.Just a thought.rock on brotter!Love your content!
Yall dont blame him he is learing making progress lilttle by little 😭🙏
Love to see Jim rolling a joint at the end of the video
Absolutely diabolical work. As others said this was painful to watch. I for sure thought you where gonna smoke the top end in this video
Man you could just feel that clutch pleading for mercy 😂 😂 😂
Yes the cluch is not supposed to do that 10:16 the cluch plates are bad or the cluch wire is just not in correctly
The clutch skills tho💀
Focus on the front brake and clutch. Use the rear as an emergency or move it to the right. It helps
I think this vid showcased just how smooth and easy electric is to ride
when it starts to move just a bit while letting go of the clutch, dont be scared to add more throttle so you dont stall, but still release the clutch slowly so you dont go to heaven
Not hating but this is Motor is gonna blow up soon

7:20 “It was in neutral tho” bro sound so betrayed 😂😭😭
Hey Sur Ronster, I have a video idea for you. You should buy a little kid ride on car and mod it out and make it go super fast. I would love to see it.
