Love this! Come from Shawn Clements analogy ideas for years but this is even easier. I’ve always had trouble with topping but I think with this I should be moving forward properly to collect the ball almost by accident as I go through with pop and lift. Thank you. Enjoying your other videos too. 🎉
I consider the slight forward motion, or "ground press", as a "harmonic initiation" that enables the backward then forward drop and pop. Without it, the drop/pop sequence is harder. Dr Kwon teaches this in conjunction with his "shurn" motion. I've been doing this for many years. It's really nice to see consensus among instructors. It can't help but help golfers improve. Very exciting. 👍🏻 Excellent
Brilliant Marcus! I’ve implemented this method based on your other videos and im hitting the ball better, straighter, further and more crisp than I ever have, without thinking of my hands and arms in the back swing. Thank you
As always, very simple and extremely valuable concepts. Thank you. I really respect and love that you’re generous in sharing. It will all come back to you. I would love more related to the grip. Thanks again.
Brilliant video as always Marcus. Excellent explanation of the drop and pop and drills. My GRFi System arrived this week and I took it to the range today for the first time. Great to get started after our Golf School in Holland in June - but still a way to go. All the best, Marc
Really appreciate the instruction of finding the rhythm of the swing and to use the weight drop to encourage the Vertical drop “ Gravity “ it does take patience to stop what I’ve been forcing for 30 years though
I am a huge fan of your teaching methods and especially with your ability to describe intention and technique using appropriate and accurate language. This is the first time however that I disagree with what you have said. In my amateur humble opinion there is nothing "effortless" about any full swing in golf. Nonetheless I know of no teacher on UA-cam better than you. Thanks a million!
This has been about the best drill I've ever done of late, if for no other reason in that it takes the idea of having to "hit' the ball out and just allows for the natural momentum to swing it (obviously combined with the actual power sources of hips rotating, ground force, etc.).
At last someone showing how to start from a starting position it’s so common to transfer back as hands also go back Best drill and advise I’ve ever seen on making body and swing separate 👍👍
Marcus, Thank you!... Your content, concepts, drills, and methodology are what golf instruction should have always been / should ever be!!... Providing us opportunities to explore, and finally FEEL what the golf swing is supposed to be!! Can you do a video that blends The Breaking Forces video with The Slingshot video?? ... To help us understand how the two work together. Thanks, again!
Marcus, this is an excellent drill to do frequently, if not, daily. Will start it today. One quick question, about once a week I have a herrondous striking session. I cannot seem to hit the side of a barn with my strikes. Every other day of the week, I strike it well. It's just once a week my strike is horrendous. Question: is this a concern or not? If it is, how do I correct it? Thanks. Cheers.
This is gimmickry, it’s an over exaggerated momentous swing that never happens from a static golf stance. You can’t swing back like he’s demonstrating and have enough power to hit the ball.
Of course, agree. It's exploring extreme ranges that tighten up under the constraints of a golf shot. There's plenty of power to be had. Take a look at the many lesson videos on the channel and you'll see it in action with many different pupils.
@@Mbsmoothe swing back like what? His shots at the end were no where near the momentum swinging exercises. I see his response, just not sure that type of training is what programs that swing he made at the end of the video.
The only channel to teach feel , when you get it , it’s addictive!
Thank you, glad you're enjoying it 👍

Yes, I'll add that to the list 👍
Marcus what are your views on the shoulder release? I’ve been so confused about the whole club release issue that its costing me distance
Not sure what you mean but the shoulders are just a fluid part of the chain reacting to the ribcage and wrists/golf club.

Not really a serious concern IMO but try and find a reset protocol of exercises for each time you practice 👍
@@GRFGolf thanks for the reply. I’ll try this new drill as my initial reset when I practice. Cheers.
Picked up two clubs switching to this. Added 20-25 to each iron.
But I combined this to a Bryson like set up.
Awesome 👍
Drop & Pop Swing..yea!
Keep dropping and popping 👊
This makes a lot of sense. But how do you avoid the pitfalls of swaying in terms of ball first contact consistently?
Can you talk more about not turning?? Everyone talks about making a good turn. Is it more side bend then turn?? Thanks for all your insight 🏌️♂️⛳️

You swing back like this you’ll have more power than you’ve ever felt mate

No that not true. When you actually feel what he’s explaining you’ll know
