- GRF Golf Head Coach Marcus shows you how you might not want to initiate the golf backswing takeaway, followed by how you might instead explore a more free-flowing backswing takeaway with a sequence from the ground up.

This is the only channel anyone should watch to improve at golf. NOBODY should follow the advice of all the UA-cam ‘professional golfers’ out there who focus on swing mechanics. They know nothing.
Watching your videos has massively improved my golf shots. It makes much more sense to coach the swing in this natural, primitive way. Most of the golf coaching industry have got it all completely wrong and are doing golfers a massive injustice by trying to teach positions that should just occur organically. I believe that golfers would improve much quicker and less would quit the game if golf was taught like this. Quality.
Excellent. They don’t come much better than this. Thanks Marcus.
After watching and working on your stuff my goal this year is playing without any swing thoughts I’ve played 3 times so far and so far I’ve done pretty well could be better but I’m doing much better thanks for all your videos and doing the extra for all us who can’t get to you in person
A fabulous step by step presentation of the golf swing. This is incredible Marcus. Thanks for sharing
Marcus! Thank you for this! I had seem to loose my swing for bit. This is exactly what I needed! Thank you Jedi Master!
Excellent. On ne se lasse pas de vous suivre dans vos démonstrations
Marcus, This is a great information, thanks for your kindness to help our game. Robert in Greorgia - USA
Great video mate
Thanks, hope it's going well Lee
Ready to get back on the course this year and play well. Spring is finally here!
Great video. Exactly what i have been experiencing.
Fantastic Marcus.
Played yesterday stuck over the ball.
Tried the first part feeling a lot more free
Thank you
James.
Glad you enjoyed it
wonderful video with drills. It makes sense as always. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
Excellent!
Fantastic tutorial, thanks for sharing
This lesson is fundamental and excellent. I’m just back from hitting a bucket of balls, and shifting the focus from the arms and hands worked wonders…but can I get it to the course?
Marcus. Seems like when you use this flow momentum backswing, you tend to swing short. Any ideas for getting a bigger turn?
Thx.
All great golfers,(inc all at my GC lower than my 5 hcp) learnt as weak kids, most golfers learnt as strong men
Solution, get a fire axe or sledge hammer and from a golf set up imagine how you would get it to a top of backswing position
But just do the first move, to get it moving you would use your entire right side/core to get it up by pressing down! but by P2 club // all effort ceases as your brain thinks ive got to stop this momentum and get it going the other way
If this fails to light your bulb have a Shining moment with your golf bag
made comment b4 watching video think im saying same thing in a different way!
i started golf quite late as a strong man so used arms early to take club away then always using my sporting skills to recover
went down connection rabbit hole now think connection is an illusion caused by good sequencing
I agree with you. I was always curious as to why kids take to golf more naturally than adults.
1. The club weight to their strength is a factor. 2. They are too young to understand technical advice. 3. They are playing a game.
They also usually spend more time playing the game not obsessing about technique.
I definitely swing in a different manner when using a weighted hitting iron but could never transfer that to a normal club.
There are always exceptions. Larry Nelson took up golf in his early twenties after service in Vietnam. He went on to win majors.
@@Ulster2 would add, adults fear embarrassment of missing or topping ball develop a steep chopping action then try to hit it straight then try to hit it further, prob a slice recipe
kids dont care just go whoosh, laugh if they miss, then go whoosh again
Very interesting…I started swimming competitively very young. To this day at the age of 66 I can jump in the pool and casually swim as fast as all these great athletes who’ve picked up triathlons at a later age but didn’t swim competitively. You really learn solid basics as a dumb kid.
This is great. I had a 2 hour GEARS lesson at the JD Golf Academy and it’s transforming my swing. Instead of obsessing with what the club is doing, I am just focused on shifting pressure into the ground and creating angles with my pelvis. The club just does what it does. Great stuff.
your mic should have not be placed at that location. Every time you backswing the mic came close and the voice was so loud.
