These stylists aren't validating me they are trying to validate their business 🍵

I never tried that anyway. Detox on oils/butters on natural hair is ludacris. Recipe for brittled breakage; and I'm not even a professional stylist, but I am a professional thinker.

I bet it’s all wrapped up in the stylist’s bottom line. Losing $$$ and potential clients. Thanks for the heads up ❤

After losing salons & clients, I bet tf they did change their tunes 🤭 looks like months of gaslighting and victim blaming don’t keep the bills paid.

Omg now they want to speak out. I know sometime we say it’s never too late but where were they when you were the only stylist trying to help Shelly or Rosie and many of us that realize something was wrong with the method…. Chile ….

  • @PINKRIOT

Even non-professionals knew that no oils/butters was foolish. The fact that professional cosmetologists went along with it and even encouraged their clients to use the method is insane to me

@PINKRIOT may be they are ill informed. But they can’t benefit for long from clients with hair damaged by following their advice

They must be talking about for straight hair? Because I could never. I don’t believe in over usage either

This is why I genuinely hate that people put stylists over UA-camrs. UA-camrs, such as yourself (even though you're also a stylist) started UA-cam due to love of natural hair and willingness to help others love their natural hair. It was you all who put yourselves out there on the public stage when natural hair was still called brillo hair and slave hair.
Stylists only jumped on to line their pockets, which isn't inherently bad, but they see UA-camrs as competition and bash UA-camrs as uneducated and people unworthy to be listened to, in order to line their pockets and that's my issue.

I’m almost certain it’s because they’re losing business and/or their fellow curly cut stylist friends are losing business. Maybe they’ve finally figured out why their own hair can’t get past ticking their shoulders! Either way, I hope that their clients and their followers can see through the BS.
I’m also willing to bet a lot of them are closeted AHG fans & watch every video you drop. They’re finally learning something! 🫢

And the Grand Dame of that “movement” is now using Leave Ins and Mousse on her wash-n-go. She’s THRILLED at the results. You can not make this whirlwind of a sh!+show up.

I’m a stylist. I just found out who they were this year, and researching them u popped up.
Oils/Butters being added to the hair are more for styling. If you are a curly hair girly and want your hair to look good, you are going to need oil/butters/gels.
If you are focused on hair growth and retention, you don’t need all of tht. You need low manipulation hairstyles and a good shampoo/deep conditioning and leave in regimen.

Yes! This method destroyed 10 years of hair growth for me. I’m still struggling to find a shampoo that works for my hair and isn’t extremely drying.
