First time attempting pork belly burnt ends i used this video. Used some Brown Sugar Bourbon and a little bit of maple syrup in your glaze recipe. I brought em to the family Christmas Eve dinner and they all could not believe it was my first time doing it! Amazing video Heath!
Awesome video! I've got a 8lb pork belly in the fridge right now I need to do something with... I think I may have found it! Love your videos and I can definitely tell the production quality gets better and better each week!
Daggum Heath!! Looks awesome and I can tell by your reaction they taste great! I also noticed the video / production improvement, you might have to give Ms. Candace a raise!!
My brother, when you ate that piece of burnt end, I almost died. That looks amazing! 🌟 You are truly a master of your craft. U have yourself a big fan up here in Canada. 🇨🇦
Finally someone who doesn't turn pork belly into a 6 HOUR COOK!! 1 or 2 I've watched 3 hours total. But a lot are 6 hours, that's ridiculous. Great job
I’ve done these a long time ago following Mr Reed recipe and they were darn tasty, if I do say so. My family isn’t a fan of spicy food especially my wife, would you recommend using your sweet rub or honey rub in place of your sweet chipotle rub.
@@HeathRilesBBQ Do you still live in Memphis? I lived there for 56 years. Know Big Tom Cassiday? He's doing a gig for Corky's now, I think. Memphis In May, too with a BBQ team. I miss all that.
Great video. I have some bourbon powder that I’ve been wanting to use. Can I substitute the bourbon powder for the real bourbon? If so, how much do you suggest I use?
Are you kidding me? How is this video 3 years old and im just now seeing it? Quick question, after panning and saucing, you put it back on the pit. Covered or no cover?
Appreciate the quick reply @HeathRilesBBQ . That new video looked great, but I gotta try this one first. I like to keep it local, and I have a Heritage Distillery near me. They make a killer Brown Sugar Burbon that would be perfect for this!
I've always wanted to do a pork belly my ex co worker would do some and they were great. Just got me a ironwood885 about a month ago. So far I've done 2 brisket, steak skirt and some wings all came out great. So this weekend I'm doing a pork belly burnt ends and settled on your recipe hands down looks the best can't wait to eat these.
Never understood pre oiling meat. That fat will create a barrier stopping the salt penetrating the meat. Its not needed for making the rub adear. Won plenty of trophies without using any oil
Between you and Malcom at How to BBQ right, my BBQ game has gone thru the roof! I use every one of your rubs, keep them coming
Will do, thank you so much for the support!
I’ve been watching your videos for a while after I got my smoker, just bought your garlic jalapeño rub, it’s AMAZING!
Awesome! Thanks for the support and glad you enjoyed
EXCELLENT
Thanks!
You’re definitely my go to for tips and recipes. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks for the support!
I like the new video effects & music! Gonna try these for sure. Thanks!

Production value and graphic stepping up Heath! Have done a few of your recipes and am loving the channel
Glad to hear it!
Great video! The video quality has gotten better and better as you go. I love pork belly burnt ends. I’ll have to give your recipe a try this weekend.
Hope you enjoy!
Thanks big guy. Now I'm gonna have to cook some burnt ends next time I'm off work.
Appreciate it! It's good stuff
Awesome video. I’m sure going to give this a try.
You should!
Oh baby - that's some good lookin' pork. Thanks for sharing the easy recipe and good cooking tips.
Thanks for watching! My pleasure
Had this today and it was fantastic. Keep up the good work and helping me decide to what to smoke on the weekends.
These were awesome, even leftover and reheated!
Just followed your recipe for these burnt ends on my ZGrill! Absolutely delicious! Thank you and keep up the amazing grilling!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the recipe

I see that upgrade in editing and video quality! Keep it up Heath!
Will do!
Just pulled them off the grill & they are fantastic. Did a batch using Hot rub with Capt. Rodney's Boucan glaze. Outstanding. Thanks again Heath.
That Capt Rodneys is some good stuff!
Thanks!

Great job!!! These look amazing
Thank you! Cheers!
Meat candy maximus!🤘
Little pieces of deliciousness!
Great Video - Does it effect the flavor if you use Olive Oil vs Mustard in the beginning to hold the rub on the meat??? Thank you...
No, it doesn't. I've used both as binders. Both batches turned out great.
Killer video brother.
Thanks Barry

Nice, I'm doing it
Awesome! Hope you enjoy
Man your video quality is up big time!! New equipment??
Sure is!
Thx Heath! These are coming to the superbowl party this weekend. It'll be hard to share em tho.
You bet!

As others have said, the production, video and audio quality made a HUGE DIFFERENCE.
It takes time to get there... thanks for the patience and support.
@@HeathRilesBBQ been a BIG FAN since your rib vid with Malcolm. Best wishes brother

Yum 😋

Of course you can switch rubs but honestly once these were cooked they weren’t spicy to me. I don’t like really spicy myself either!
After you let the sauce tack up, how long do you let them rest for?
Probably about 15-20 minutes. Let them cool down a bit.
Did you put them back on the rack or leave them in the pan? Same temp? Looks great!
Leave em in the pan at the same temp. It’s just to tack up the glaze a bit, they’re amazing!
Leave it in the pan
Awesome!!
Thanks!
Phenomenal!!
Thanks!
I'll be making these pork belly burnt ends along with some kicked up deviled eggs (a touch of Carolina Reaper) as a Thanksgiving appetizer tray.
That sounds awesome! Two of my favorites.
@@HeathRilesBBQ I'm going to add some softened butter to the eggs to make them creamier, plus it is a hack to keep them from getting "weepy".
@@ruthlessgoat3702 Not a bad idea!

Planning on these next! Do you serve these as an appetizer? You have a turkey video coming up soon?
Yeah, I would serve these as an appetizer. Nice finger food for a party or something. We do have a few turkey videos
This is my kind of 'Q recipe: Minimum fussin' and maximum droolin'. ;-)
Hope you enjoy
What is going on family, new subscriber Cribbs here. Great video sir 👍🏼
Appreciate it!
How soon till your hats are available?
I just have to get them to my fulfillment warehouse. Honestly, it will probably be the first of the year. Sorry for the delay!
Great video. I have some bourbon powder that I’ve been wanting to use. Can I substitute the bourbon powder for the real bourbon? If so, how much do you suggest I use?
You probably could. I've only used real bourbon.
Great Recipe, too many "Go A Heads" I counted 15 LOL
Would be one hell of a drinking game lol
I noticed that you did not cover The pan Up after you sauced them is that OK... did they still turn out squishy?
It is okay! They will still turn out great.
Man, pork or beef candy which way to go
Hard to choose!
How bad does this mess up your pit?
I’m going to use an offset stick burner.
Maybe more than an normal Boston Butt would, but you should be fine
Are you kidding me? How is this video 3 years old and im just now seeing it?
Quick question, after panning and saucing, you put it back on the pit.
Covered or no cover?
Better late than never! I think you might like today's new video if you like this one. I go covered once I sauce them.
Appreciate the quick reply @HeathRilesBBQ . That new video looked great, but I gotta try this one first. I like to keep it local, and I have a Heritage Distillery near me. They make a killer Brown Sugar Burbon that would be perfect for this!
@@patburt9558 Absolutely! Let me know what you think.
Question??
How may pounds do you end up with after the cook?
I have about a 12 pound belly in my freezer I want to do this with.
We used about the same size pork belly. After? It could end up being about 1/2
Damm good
Yes sir!
So delicious looking… I want to make… will be so great on the porch... 🤤🫠🤪😎
So these don't need to be braised? Just simply cook and glaze?
Season, cook, and then sauce

Anyone tried this in the oven?
You could do that
Can I just BBQ them? I don’t have a smoker 😕
Yeah, you could
