I've watched now many of your newest videos and I thought I'll start all over and watch your journey from the beginning. I love with how much passion packed with a lot personal and private experiences you share your valuable moments with the community! The hike you did in this video was very beautiful, amazing how easily you took those heavy through backs! Only thing what was missing was a train running late, because that would have wrapped the whole situation up... (which is not very uncommon in Germany :D ) however, I love watching your channel, please keep all your impressions coming!=) Have a nice weekend
Got on the S1/S11 train split yesterday from Freiburg for the first time and remembered this video from 2 years ago so we got on the right section. Thank you past video!
Hey there! Congrats for your channel, your beautiful family and all the content your are creating! I am from Brazil, leaving in Portugal with my wife, working for the world and I am so passionate about this southwestern part of Germany that we decided it will be our next vacation trip and I decided to take the A1 level of Deutsch this year!😊
Great. More memories. First place strapped on pair of down hill skis - our Brigade used to run a “ski week” for anyone interested. Would bus us back and forth each day. First time I had Gluwein - make every Christmas now. Remember being on the bunny hill first year when these 2 Luftwaffe F-4 Phantoms came screaming past us doing low level contour flying - impressive. Got a kick at start of vid seeing Jack chillaxing on the stroll.
Respect! I know these trails very well (explored as a mountain biker in the 90s). After all the driving by train and bus you made a trail of about 12 km and walked 405 meters up the mountains and 397 m down ... and that with a handicap from your sweet son. Athletic! If you have a car, simply drive to the “Rinken” hiking car park (no parking fees). From there the hike to the Feldberg via the "Baldenweger Hütte". A pleasure, especially when the view is in the distance! You can then see as far as “Mont Blanc” in the French Alps! Especially when it's freezing cold in winter, when the fog gets stuck in the valleys. - The descent is worthwhile via the "Zastler Hütte". A beautiful circular route of about 8 km with 300 meters up and down. The internet shows when the inns are open. They are good! Cheers
Warnung!
Love Titisee-Neustadt, more so Neustadt it’s lovely to stay in. And yes! I’ve discovered the train split unexpectedly as well 😉 if I can offer a small bit of advice, you can separate sightseeing in two groups: one with car and one without. Many things you can see with the trains/bus like walking tours in Freiburg, Europa Park, Badeparadis, Titisee, Vogtsbauernhof and the sommerrodelbahn and many more. But imo you just need a car for Sesselbahn in Totdnau, Schauinsland, Feldberg, Schwarzwald Wild Park etc, when you have small ones in tow.
It is such a beautiful area! We plan to visit Vogtsbauernhof in the near future now that things are open once more. Thanks so much for watching the video and the great advice!
Lol, I was wondering what the h... are they talking about a TTC !?? Then later I finally got it. Feeling a bit stupid now. But anyway, in the end Titisee was a good laugh. 😄
hahaha, yes there are so phrases that I think we may always struggle with because of our accent. We try our best to pronounce words correctly, but we are still learning. Thank you for watching and for overlooking the mistake. ❤️
Us too. It is also worth the extra piece of mind knowing that if your hike/activity takes a bit longer, you can take any train home that day from the forest. 😊😊
Sorry for " smart-arssnes...???. If you spoke about Titisee, that`s sounds like TTC. 🤣🤣🤣 Nice Videos with a uncomplicated and cool family, keep up the good work. We need more of these people.
Thank you for the positive feedback! And yes the bulls can be quite scary! We were chased by one once while hiking in Switzerland on a popular trail. hahaha!
feldberg is probably the worst hiking goal in the black forest. the top of the mountain is filled with hundreds of people and the most ugly weather and communication equipment towers in brutalist concrete look. there are realy nice hiking path leading to and from the mountain but there are just way too many people in a radius of probably 1km around the top. it feels a bit like those high tourism areas in bavaria/austria. actually titisee is the main tourism location in the black forest, so it probably makes sense.
the hick was longer than expected? well you wanted to burn some of the holiday calories ;). Did you ever try to cosplay Alyson Hannigan? (Lilly from How i met your Mother) you have a stricking similarity with her :)
Absolutely! This is another great option, especially for those interested in exploring all of the countries surrounding the Black Forest. Thanks for the tip!

What great memories! I've had similar experiences when on the mountains before, it's so awesome watching the jets scream by at low altitude.

Ich habe nur gedach "Warum trinken sie kein Bier?" Und du hast gerade gesagt: Let's get some beer! Wundebar!
Cracked up with the crapped pants mid hike and traffic at the end of the vid 😂
That happened to me, too, being on the wrong half of the train. Twice actually :D)
Love this, it's so helpful

TTC made my day xD
I always take the Tageskarte, even if it just is s short trip, if the Tageskarte is cheaper than the combined price for a Trip back and forth
