No mention of the Rheinsteig? I am planning to do that this summer. I haven't tried the Eifelsteig either but it sounds interesting. Moreover, there are the longer trails that sometimes incorporate parts of the ones mentioned here, like Fernwanderweg E1 and E3 as well as the pilgrimage routes Jakobsweg Via Scandinavia and Via Romea Germanica. Germany is a hiker's paradise and I will return many times!
