@I'm_feelin_it I have previously searched tirelessly for links to a lengthy MJ article (like 10 pages) in i think Time magazine?? From memory it was either 1981 or 1983 and he was on the cover. I had this magazine hard copy when i was a child and wish i had not parted with it! I feel i had it with me on holiday with my family midway through one of these years i mentioned. Hoping your research may find some info on this 🤞

I wouldn’t say he had too much going too fast, the man had been in the music business for 16 years by 1983. The timing was perfect, videos were starting to take off which was right up his alley and returning home to Motown was the thing that put him into a new stratosphere that know one has been to reach since. To be around when this was happening was a very surreal experience.

Thriller album dropped when I was 2 yrs old 1982. Why did it feel like that album never stopped feeliing new by the time BAD dropped? That album stayed in rotation in my house the entire time. My dad had Thriller on vinyl and on cassette.

Me too!!! Im the same age, and i feel the same way! The earliest I can remember is Thriller and being scared at the neighbors house.. had to've been like '85 or '86, and it seemed new at the time.

It never got old. I’m an 04 baby and by the time I was old enough to sing, I thought all those songs were new !!
