Funny thing is when we buy cats we do have 1 appearance requirement, that being they need to be darker in color. Black, gray, black calico, tabby pattern, because we live by the woods and we want them to be able to hide easily. Once our old group had passed through the years we rescued 3 dark kittens. A year later a white cat showed up, and now we have 4😅. I will say though there's been a few incidents with strays, and he can't hide like the 3, he has to run or fight.
As a cat owner, thank you for adopting this older/senior cat he probably would have spent he last days in that shelter. You gave him a second chance at life. Thank you ❤
Oh Bepo is so beautiful!! You could tell how much love she has for you and I could see how much love you have for her. You are going to make a fur baby mama. Recently, my granddaughter and I found a beautiful little kitten all by itself. The mother was there and then there was a sibling, but we couldn’t get them so she was able to get the other baby and she was very fresh. She was yelling and screaming, hissing and carrying on, but she really wasn’t scratching us , my granddaughter asked her mom if she could bring her home and her mother agreed because she wanted a cat to begin with for her birthday which had already passed. She loves this kitten so much. She takes such great care of her and the kitten is getting so big already and she’s so fluffy. Looks like your Bepo. Within a day, the cat warmed up to my granddaughter and was not hissing anymore or squirming around or acting out anymore. Even when I got to see her again she loved me and I love her too. She is so sweet. I’m falling in love with Katz again even though I’m a dog person L O L her name is Mika And he just can’t help but just love her to death. She’s a feisty little girl, but she has really calm down a lot. She jumps in bed every morning with my granddaughter or maybe every night but every morning my granddaughter finds her in bed with her then her sister my other granddaughter goes in bed and sleeps the three of them. Sleep in his bed together lol it’s so cute, but cats are beautiful and I’m so happy you adopted her. She needs a happy place to be and she is absolutely beautiful. She’s so furry and fuzzy and so lovable. I could see it in her. Good luck with her.
Shelter cats are soooo grateful when they have seen other cats being taken away by families. They become love sponges that NEVER forget how lucky they are x
i think most shelter cats are grateful, but mine forgot where she came from and now she s a spoiled little shit:)) but thats alright we still love her and we're glad she feels spoiled in our household
We found our cat abandoned with her kittens and adopted her and found homes for her babies. I think she still remembers and is a very sweet and intelligent cat.

They have seen also the dark times and want any human to see those dark times. 40% cats go through a harder life than us. They also have illnesses, and they live short so they want to make humans happy knowing we will need it, since we live longer. They know this because they see how slowly out body and body cells grow. They even themselves become happy when we are there for them, or they are for us. They can even sense what emtion you are in right now, like sad, angry, anxious, nervous. They can smell the emotions and they come for us❤️ This is how sweet old (and just any cats) are
Cats choose you. I think that's why some people think cats don't like them, bc they don't understand that. Cats aren't interested in most people bc those people aren't "theirs". We pulled over to help him and realized he was stuck there bc his mother had ben run over and he was too scared to leave her body. As soon as I put my hands down for him to sniff, he used my hands like a trampoline and launched himself at my torso. Cats absolutely choose who they want. My brother and SIL’s cat chose me. She always wants my attention, she meows loudly for me, she always wants in my room, she bounds over on top of me first thing in the morning, and she’s so sad when I’m not there. They raised her from a kitten. I just gave her attention every time I was over lol

I got a 16yr old cat from a shelter, she had been there ages as she was "elderly" . She chose me and I got the most loving cat. Unfortunately she passed on because of cancer. I still miss her & when I can I'll get another older cat as they deserve to have a great life as well as a younger cat. RIP Hetty😻

It made me realise that it's not about the species of animal, it's about their individual personalities. When I was a few years old my cat died at an old age. She was the best cat ever and I miss her a lot . I’m thinking about getting another cat so I will be more happy but the cat before will always be in my heart ❤️.

My tobby cat is an A'holeeee. He's not lovable, unapproachable & kinda ugly 🤣 but he's spoil by my parents! Ugh I hate tht lil guy and makes not want a cat EVER. 😒 And just today he brought a dead bird home... 💀
Cats are by far not the sweetest animals and if you think that you just don't know cats and other animals.. i have 2 cats 1 is super sweet and friendly and 1 is like 50-50 sometimes she wants cuddles and shit and sometimes she just wants to kill all humans. Cats are NOT the sweetest animals lol.

I wish more people would make these kind of choices.
I foster/rescue/adopt out cats and kittens specifically because people think cats are lazy or jerks because they don't understand cats choose you, you don't choose them.

I always thought I was a dog person too, but since then I've met dogs who are grumpy and cats who are sweet. It made me realise that it's not about the species of animal, it's about their individual personalities.
Saying you love one species and hate another is like assuming that all people from a particular country are nice people while another country is full of assholes. Everyone is unique.

my family of both sides wasnt like cat at all.......now my mom has a little boy named django, hes the sweetest boy ever and she love him
and my.......father (he dont deserve this name) had a girlfriend with cats and he started loving them both too, bc they are first shy but if they trust u, they gonna be the sweetest cuddle floofs !!

this is so true. bepo chose you to be his owner and trusted you. it was exactly the same when i got my cat. my parents took me to the shelter and there was a few cats left. the cat i have now wouldnt stop purring at me and getting all over me. we took him home and i have never regreted it
