Matt, great message. It's SO important to get checked out. I'm 58 & had no symptoms yet turned out had prostate cancer. Am 6 months post radical prostatectomy & so glad I had surgery. It's a tough road but will save your life. Every guy should get checked over!
You look good with a stache, Matt. I used to have a huge beard. Like years of growth. One day, for some reason, I randomly got recommended a Geofatboy video and really enjoyed it. So I went down this rabbit hole of DE shaving videos, which is where I found you guys. Decided I wanted to try it out, so I ordered some supplies and shaved my beard off. Kept my stache tho. Been rocking it for the past several years. I had to take mine down with clippers first tho. Way too much hair to do with a razor. Also, I use the same Kent mustache comb. I've had it for probably about 10 years, still going strong. 👍
Awesome stache! Looks great on you. I too get sometimes torn between the love of wetshaving and the great experience of growing and “nurturing” a beard. Found out that a goatee or mustache gives you the opportunity to have the best of both worlds.
Agree with the message - get checked every rear. Will keep my mustache of forever. Great products, and the Konsul & Ambassador are always in the rotation. Never in doubt with a good blade. Straight razor or shavette would have worked well for a first pass. Agree with producer - no clippers. Good job all round though. Do well & enjoy the weekend. Cheers, John
Nope, I wear a Van Dyke/goatee year round..so no change for me. The PSA's are important though, keep them coming. Nice job using the Konsul Matt, did the work with no issues. Great video, thanks.
LOVE my Konsuls. I just can't ever decide if I like the Std vs XL . When I use each I say, 'This is my favorite'. Then use the other, that's my favorite. But it's a good choice to have.
Definitely rocking the Jay Chandrasekhar - Thorny from Super Troopers look. You can chug a bottle of syrup now and not worry about getting any in the goatee.
SMQQTH one, I watched this video at 1.75 speed, and had a couple of good laughs 😂 . I had my last shave for at least a month, Thursday afternoon (10/31). Used a red tip, silver blue, RE unscented preshave soap, Rex 1966, Omega boar brush. Last year was the first time in years that I didn't grow a beard in November. I'm going to this year, at least until December 1st. And I'll try to keep it a while, or until the itching drives me nuts. Can't wait to see how gray it is now. It gets colder here than it does there. Oh, You can volunteer at the fire station now.
Same for me. I have had a goatee or full beard most of my adult life. Earlier this year, I started DE shaving and I wanted to shave more of my face, so the goat was history! Something about the nekkid chin is freeing. Being a fellow AZ resident, I was concerned I might have a tan line. But, it faded fast. Goats are for Yoga, if you live in Chandler.
Good job Matt. Good to promote awareness and making sure men get checked out. Good job on the shave. I honestly think the moustache looks better than the goatee 👍
With that long a beard, I think you would have had an easier time with a straight or an open comb. Great to raise awareness around men's health. It's tough to choose, unlike most people you can rock either, the goatee and the mustache both look great on you. I had a good chuckle about the cop joke. Happy movember!
WOW! What a shave!! Showed that Goatee who's the boss!! The Rex Razor and the Rex Blade, that's who!! Question: Why didn't you use an Alum block for the weepers? Great Video and great shave, thanks Matt!
Just a note, Harrison Ford in the Fugitive actually shaved in a hospital room, using clippers and a patient's DE razor and Barbasol foam. Anyway, a great shave for a good cause 💪💈
You proved that the Konsul could remove a heavy goatee. But I think most of us would have used an electric trimmer to remove most of the goatee and then finished the shave with a DE safety razor. Like the new look.

While I was working from home during COVID, I just let my facial hair grow to see how much I could grow over the month and a half that I was working from home. When it came to taking it off, I was still using a dull Fusion razor. Cartidges are expensive and I hated buying them from the case. It wasn't a lot of fun, but I did get the hair off. I am glad that I moved over to safety razors.
Glad you didn't keep the soul patch! And wow...I never would have attempted to remove that much hair with a safety razor. A straight razor, yes! But you showed with a little patience, it can be done. I'm growing out my mustache for Movember...but I can't bring myself to shave off my goatee. By the way...I'm loving those Rex blades!

I just did the starter pack and found the feathers to work the best for me. Did I find my blade or should I try something different? What would you recommend I try next?
I think it's good that you use your own products to me. I have a harder time shaving around the mouth and chin area so seeing some one else do those areas is helpful 🤷 but either way 👍👍
Hey the Stach looks good. I’ve sported a gotee for a while and I was thinking of cutting mine down to a stach. But then again mine is mostly silver and the chin has some dark hairs making it stand out more and then again at almost 75, does it really matter. Love the videos and your sense of humor.
Many years ago I shaved off my beard and mustache. Our son, 3 or 4 at the time did not like it. He pointed at my face and said, "Grow it back." I said I would. The next day he said, "Dad, you said you would grow it back. Where is it?" LOL out of the mouths of babes. Great video, Matt. Enjoy the bare chin for a little while. Have a great weekend!
Hi Matt that's awesome from you! I will this year also leave a beard growing in awarness to cancer! 2021 after 3 weeks Hospital and 5 weeks no shaving ! I couldn't shave of my beard with the KCG and my father is coming with Gillette Slim Twist and he shaves my beard of! That was over 60 years expierience! This year on the 3th October my father died Lung cancer!

Great video Matt! I just finished using my Konsul with Rex blade, and Nordic soap and balm.

Looks good Matt! A Fatip open comb works great for a task like that. Gets through the long dense hair with no problem.
Props to the Konsul for mowing down a pretty hefty goatee!! Looks great Matt!!
Looks good Matt.Mowed my goatee off last year.Used my Merkur Futur set to max.Did the job pretty well🙂
Thank you Mat for all that you do for wet shaving. I hoping for one day to try your Rex line. It definitely did an amazing job during this video.
Thanks 👍
