    Some facts to the band:
The band leader and songwriter Markus "Herbst" Siegenhort processed his Dissociation disorder (Derealization) in the texts of .neon and Agape. The band name also goes back to this disorder.
Stéphane "Neige" Paut was the singer on .neon and Agape. He came into the project, because he was the first person Herbst ever met that also experienced a derealization. They had a mutual understanding of each other, so they made music together.
The last two albums Melting Sun and Wildhund went more into the Post-Rock direction. The complete concept of the band changed, since Herbst ovecame his disorder.

Apparently the new record company does allow it, it is the old one that's problematic, so as long as they concentrate on the latest releases they should be alright. Or at least that's what I've heard, I have no idea if it's true, but I am pretty sure that generally Nuclear Blast does not seem to be as jumpy as Prophecy.

Small explanation about the word Minusmensch from a native german speaker:
there are various definitions of a Minusmensch. For example: A person with an overall negative character and no one wants to be around them.
A different one: a person that has such a bad vibe that it draws energy from the surrounding persons. Resulting in trying to avoid these persons.

In any case, I'm going to third the recommendation in these comments for Theocracy; I Am is a lyrical masterpiece, but if you're looking for something shorter, Paper Tiger is a favorite of mine (I'm Methodist, so I definitely subscribe to a Wesleyan image of the social gospel), and Master Storyteller is a quick apologetic with some catchy parts.

May I suggest not only Sabaton but the title track to their last album : the last stand. It’s about the last stand of the Vatican guard in 1527.
Their ongoing theme is wars, battles, heroes. They also have started a crossover history channel tied to their music. Events covered include Roarkes drift, the Lost Battalion, the gates of Vienna, the battle of Wizna against the German army, the Warsaw uprising, and so on. Generally on the more hard rock side of power metal.

    • @lesegut
      @lesegut 5 років тому

@@roberthoughton7127 it´s some kind of a figure of speech or better a paraphrased translation. 'Minusmensch' is at least pretty tough to translate literally. I've just tried to find a synonyme for it to give you an idea of what it can mean. So in my opinion your description is pretty close to what I understand from both title and lyrics. Resorting to drugs for instance is something people do when not looking at life positively.

Speaking of the scream like vocals, I'd like to introduce you to someone who does it even more brutally. Peste Noire - Dueil Angoisseus. This actually has Neige with some guest vocals in it as well.

As someone who speaks a little German (very little) Google is correct in this case. Also, (and I think I've mentioned this before) you should check out the German band Blind Guardian. Some of their songs have very interesting lyrics, particularly Valhalla and Sadly Sings Destiny.

I'm just gonna start promoting the band Venom Prison, they are a pretty brutal Death Metal group from the UK lead by vocalist Larissa Stupar. Check out their song Uterine Industrialization from their album Samsara. It's one of my favorite albums this year. The whole albums has probably the most politically infused lyrics relevant for this year.

Wondering your reaction to "God is a Popstar" by OOMPH! They are a German band, they have the English version as well as their German "Gott Ist Ein Popstar" version. Whichever you choose would be up to you. I just winder what you think of it from a Biblical Standpoint.

I say this for the obvious of the title. This IS God's show and He has center stage. All eyes are meant to be in Him. So I personally think it has good Biblical values implied.

Please react to silent planet, whenever you get the chance. The lead vocalist is a genius writer and their one of the best bands in the "metalcore " genre . Also their Christian fyi. They also just stand more then most bands . You will love it. - God bless

You guys should do one up your alley. American Wheeze by 16 Horsepower. They're a Christian band, one of the only ones I like. I found out about them because the main songwriter's new band opened for Tool when I saw them last. It's great stuff.

Hey i dont know if youll see this (love your channel btw) but it would be amazing if you could react to a song from a band with a fairly divisive name (for people who dont know the reasoning behind it at least) the bands name is heaven shall burn the song is combat, (totally do the music video though because it adds needed context to the song. The band is composed of vegans whose music mainly focus on animal cruelty and misstreatment of others. The bands name is short for your false heavens shall burn and it is mainly based around the idea that people need to shed their personal proclivities towards putting their own actions likes and lifestyles on a pedestal while judging others for how they live. The song combat is super heavy and pretty depressing but with the art style of the video it is a definite gem
