I absolutely love that Oxblood Standard. Oh the Pelham Blue...typing as I watch 😂 I loved the non-Custom Shop Gibsons. Those new Supremes look incredible with great appointments.
For me personally, I prefer Epiphone/Gibson. I had a beautiful white, Epiphone SG Special a year ago and it was my favorite guitar in general. Felt great to hold, powerful pickups, and hours of playing done on that thing. Recently got a 48th Street Fender Stratocaster. Was the only one I could find for around $500 with that Fender logo on it with a humbucker on the bottom. It's a good guitar, don't get me wrong, but I think I just prefer the feel of a Gibson. Fenders are great and I love them (especially the Jazzmaster), but Gibson will always be my go-to for guitars.
Fender basses are my favorite on the other hand. You just can't beat a nice, fully laminated neck of a Fender bass. Had the chance to play one like that at GC a few months ago and I'm still thinking about it to this very day haha!
I wish that the chamfered neck heel for access, 22 frets, and locking tuners were available on non-CS Strats! The vintage-modern models look really nice!
Sounds like you'd love the Fender Ultra series, check out this awesome Strat: www.peachguitars.com/fender-american-ultra-stratocaster-maple-cobra-blue.htm?opt=41054
Am I crazy in thinking recreating a crack in the headstock is taking things too far? Sunburst 61 journeyman strat with the flamed neck and dark rosewood fretboard was my favourite.
Hss Strat is the winner for me, I like modern strats and teles more than Vintage ones, wish to see more american ultra luxes in their custom Shop and masterbuilt versions, even with 24 frets, even with all the switching options of a Tyler Guitar, floyd rose, han pickup configuration. I love Fender but their highcend top of the line models are always paying tribute to vintage models.
What does ‘simulated that crack in the headstock’ mean? Is it purely an aesthetic thing or do they actually break it and glue the pieces back together again?
@@Squall6575 I figured someone would understand where I was going with that thought. Okay,..If someone actually played the guitar on a regular basis for 30 or 40 years,..I'm trying to imagine how it might look.
Unless they’re playing gigs with it under track lighting with sweat every night probably not much. I am curious about those destroyed looking necks tho 😂 can’t stand heavy aged ML necks feel like crap imo. I play ultra light, but If I went heavy aged I’d have to go M2M and get the light aged neck that is the sweet spot for feel.
@@stricknine8623 like shit is probably right, if my information is correct, these guitars also have the “repaired neck” of the original greeny, which makes it even less ideal for live playing for fear of breakage.
Miss the old days when John and Jack were doing unboxing together, and Jack seemed always got confused identifying the colors of Fender CSs
Well Jack was great but the lads moved on. I'm suprised that John didn't have someone with him but it was good
The Argentine Grey BB King 335 is the coolest guitar I have ever seen. What an absolute belter
Wow that was massive. Some unreal guitars there John
That Ocean Turquoise Strat looks killer!
I love these unboxing videos.
Cheers from NZ 😎🎸🤘
Love the Pelham Blue Les Paul!🎸
Wow what a video!! Beautiful guitars
Man on these flamey necked strats even the flames have flames. Killer. 🔥
The gold strat and the 59 Les Paul's...and really all of them I would own except the Les Paul's with gold hardware.
John, more unboxing videos please! 😊

I love these videos! Keep 'em coming!
Loved the 59 murphy lab les paul but a couple of those fenders were pretty sweet
Aztec gold Strat....Yes please!
It's the best!
That was my first pick that I'll never afford
This is great and quick way to see some awesome guitars and some gibsons.
Love the unboxing vids.
Some sweet guitars, love that coral Fender bass.
Yes please!
Awesome unboxing!! Just noticed the left handed les Paul still has the right hand headstock decals ?
That’s pretty standard to be fair as well as fret markers on both side

There was NOT ONE that I didnt Like.. Excellent Batch !!
So we can go to bed….and dream of those beautiful guitars we’ve just seen here 😮!
@5:15 - looks like evidence from a murder scene.

I don’t know the first thing about relic work, but my gut tells me scoring the headstock probably isnt super hard
Sure, but it's just... Why go there? Nobody wants a simulated broken headstock, surely?
@@pepmasters-999 if its on your own guitar I completely agree with your take. If its a replica/tribute of another guitar it just makes sense.

I’m pretty sure Gibson installed the side fret markers on the wrong side of the neck on the 2nd guitar they unboxed 😅
Nice

They take the Les Paul Standards that were accidentally dropped at the factory and make Greenies😂
They make it look like it had a neck break to be “faithful” to how the original Greenie looks like.
It’s a shame that most of these guitars will probably never be gigged.
Most of the guys you see on Instagram don’t gig…
Relic strategy for me. Would leave the wife for that one. Would have to if I purchased it!
Does the Gene Simmons bass come with a wig ?
Yes! John was wearing it!
😂
I just wonder what these factory "aged" guitars, like Greeny, will look like in 30 or 40 years ?
They are collectibles so probably wont get played and look the same

Fender wins
so if you're a lawyer some gear that is affordable
The camera work made it hard to watch
Shame on you
