Thanks Narakai!🌹✨💫 it really is a magical glass! I was so surprised at how many colors came out!😃 Hope your doing well & have a great week!! 🌹 Cheers- Robin 👋🏽✨✨
I've watched so many of your videos and love them all. As a beginner, I really appreciate you taking the time to explain every step of your process and not take for granted any viewers prior knowledge. It means I can watch then immediately go and experiment with the technique. Thank you
Awe!!! Thank you so much Tiger! 😭🤗🌹 I’m so glad you are enjoying the demos! 💫 I truly appreciate your comment!! I try my best to easily explain everything for everyone! That’s super important to me! …even with my forgetfulness and verbal dyslexia…I do try!! 😂😅✨ I’m so happy to know that you have found them helpful!! 🥰💫 I’m here for you! 👍🏽💫 Cheers - Robin 🎉🌹✨
Took a class in Omaha with Trey Coronet several years ago and we got chunks of Raku he had knocked off a huge rod from Olympic. We learned how to heat it and eventually pulled rods and stringers. I liked it so much I bought an entire rod for myself. It's like 1 1/2 inch across at least. I've found if I work in a fairly neutral flame and at the end just cook the heck out of it, I can pull deep teals and purples and blues. Usually use my steel hand marver for shaping and it cools it fast enough to pull those deep colors. I've never tried the frit. I'd love to share some pictures.
Hi Linda! ✨🌹 it’s funny that you mentioned color bars…I have a full rod of this color but was hesitant to use it for this demo. ( I figured most people would have the frit ). I will definitely have to chop off a piece of it and pull some thin cane! I took a long break from glass blowing and have lots of color bars laying around. Thanks for your story! 🤗🌹✨ I would love to see your beads! Rkschultes@gmail.com 😃 Cheers- Robin 💫🌹
Wow! So many really good tips. I'm off to my shed to try this. Previous failures probably because I didn't use enough frit or heat. However, I have had some cool reactions when I used Effetre straw yellow 591049 underneath. Thank you once again for sharing all these tips and information. You are the best. 🎉xx
Hi Lena! 👋🏽🎉 I hope your having fun in the Shed and getting pretty colors out of the iris orange!🥰 I do have straw yellow and rarely use it….now I will have to try! 😂✨💫 I’m really glad this demo helped!! Cheers- Robin 🌹✨💫🎉
OMG I never knew Iris Orange could do that - I have rods of it so I cannot wait to try it out. Thank you Robin once again a super video. Please can you tell me what you use to get your bead release in the middle on your mandrel ??
Hi Jo! 👋🏽✨ if you go to our homepage on UA-cam, go to the lampworking 101 playlist. The very first 101 demo will show you how I put the bead release in the middle! Let me know if you can’t find it…. 😃👍🏽 I hope it is helpful! Cheers- Robin 🌈✨🌹
Hi Gloria! 👋🏽✨ I will have to research this ‘cooler green’…or is it the copper green? …Sounds fascinating!! I will definitely have to try the rod of iris orange too! Thanks!🥰✨🌹 Cheers- Robin 💫✨🌹
Mesmerazing! It looks like it is glowing. You had a great idea with this clear dots. Simple but highlighting that beautiful cane underneath. It is something new to me and I have one question. I bought a while ago Reichenbach glass called Iris Green and Iris Orange. it was described as a special color but I had no idea what did it mean. Can I use it to achieve this effect? B
Hi Basia! 💫🌹 I am pretty sure the iris orange it is the same color that I’m using but a different maker. I think the iris green will give you a silvery metallic effect if reduced!…(I have used this color in the hot shop). And I’m excited for you to try the iris orange too…It’s amazing! 🤗🌹 Big Hugs- Robin 👋🏽🌹
Hello Cassie! 🤗👋🏽 I’m sorry that the music was too loud…I’m still learning! I was really bummed out when it was published 😩next time will be better!…... But I’m glad that you enjoyed the demo! Thanks for being honest!🖤🌹🌹🌹Cheers- Robin 💫
