@@abehm404 Matt Bowers. Quad drummer with sunglasses. Macular degeneration. Is legally blind, had at the time of this performance about 1% the same level of vision that we have. A DCI and WGI World Class Champion, marched both Cadets and Blue Devils (three years combined). A legend.
As much as I love this show, and seeing it live, I can say with 100% confidence that you’re wrong any this slow bring the greatest of all time. Also, having a legally blind marcher has no effect on how good the show is
My vis director told me to look up this show cause like the one quad, I have a visual impairment that requires glasses on field. Nice to see I'm not the only one
+Zane Stackhouse My favourite will probably always be RCC '07. This is the close second. Can't pick a specific third-MCM '04 or some Aimaichi show, I suppose.
There is no reason you can provide me to convince me or anyone else that this is not the greatest WGI show ever assembled. Not only was it perfect, but one of the players was literally blind.. Also, the stick toss will go down as the coldest thing ever done on a WGI stage haha
im not sure if there is any other show in DCI or WGI that is as unanimously determined as being the best show of all time. there are shows that are always in the convo, but X'09 is probably is easiest GOAT.
I'm confused!! was the stick toss at 2:26 accidental? like did he try and do something and it flew out of his hand-only to be caught by his friend the improvisation master? it just looks like the snare is checking his stick bag for something to play with and then he thinks "oh hey thanks dude" when he gets the stick thrown to him
The thing I love about this show is that it speaks completely for itself. No stupid samples or loads of synthesizer crap(just enough). Just beautiful, inspiring music and movements.
I don't think this is the right energy tbh. A show can be just as good with the bits and bobs as it can with the basics. In the end, music is a form of entertainment and expression. If what you want to express only requires battery and front, that's great! If what you want to express needs a little extra, that's great too! Every instrument exists for a reason, and elicits a different feeling -- it makes sense that one show might want to use different instrumentation than another. I personally think Touch is the greatest marching show of all time not because it "speaks for itself", but rather that it's just incredibly entertaining and extremely expressive. It was crafted perfectly, using the tools it needed to use to get the job done. That's all there is to it.
I remember thinking this show was overrated and worse thang "Gone" when I saw it live, but it's since grown to be in my top 5 (others being RCC '05 & '07 and MCM '04) and definitely better than Gone.
BBRRO0o0ooOOO0
2024, still a banger ‼️
And I know bangers
15 years later this still slaps
The fact that one of the players is blind really cements this to being one of if not the best shows there will ever be.
Didn't know that. Seeing this live gave me goosebumps.

Praise Jesus. Somebody did it. Greatest show of all time. Period

Watching this show live was one of the most rewarding parts of my music career.
performing in PSW that day, getting 8th place, then watching many of my instructors and friends march in PIW that evening was one of mine.
Who’s still watching this in 2020
me!!
TheNoon our schools show is doing that first song bc it’s our director persons favorite show and our show is rly rly good and cool

Imagine if in 2019 Rhythm X did a 10 Year Anniversary show of Touch... ;-;
Imagine a 10 year anniversary of Inspired
SteveGamesFTW Both shows again. I would cry.
neither happened ;-;
This has not aged well...
@@yuric2492 It didn't :[
You know the tenor player with glasses was blind, right? Hes freakin sweet!
No way
+John Dawson Partially blind, espn did an interview with him when he was at cadets
I think the power of his vision was transferred to his chops.
How would he read the music tho
I think he performs by hearing.
My favorite WGI show ever, my second favorite is Rhythm X 2013, then Pulse 2014
+Zane Stackhouse My favourite will probably always be RCC '07. This is the close second. Can't pick a specific third-MCM '04 or some Aimaichi show, I suppose.
I could listen to the ballad forever.
Still one of the best shows in WGI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE CROWD GOES WILD, LOVE IT.
This pit book is perfect. Exactly how mallet percussion should be arranged.
it is very tasty but in terms of demand the 3rd place group had a front ensemble that was far ahead of any other pit

I love this show I can’t stop enjoying it been almost ten years

I usually don’t love marching band but this is SO FUCKING COOL
Name of the song in the beginning ?
"details in the fabric" by jason mraz
I'm confused!! was the stick toss at 2:26 accidental? like did he try and do something and it flew out of his hand-only to be caught by his friend the improvisation master?
it just looks like the snare is checking his stick bag for something to play with and then he thinks "oh hey thanks dude" when he gets the stick thrown to him
it's entirely on purpose lol
if it was on accident that would've made it that much sweeter
but still freaking cool
+JakeXLS It is Justin Lewis who does the stick tosses, very cool.

Ok serious question, is the guitar player gibby
You dont by any chance have RCC 2012 or 2011 do you?
Sorry for the late response, no I don't currently but I can get them
who wrote the music?
Andrew Markworth has written the front ensemble music for Rhythm X since 2006.
bald tenor is a blind doode
Of course, Mr. E takes credit for this. Horrible teacher and human being. Good riddance.
?
comrade, you can't drop a bomb like this and not elaborate haha
Do you have St& by me?? X 2011??
