    Could you please do a tutorial using Lexi hard gel as an overlay on super short nails with no free edge?

      @@LightEleganceHQ I’m specifically looking for overlays on very short nails, particularly ones with no free edge. The nails are very short and have been bitten so we are working on growing them out. Do you have any along those lines?

      @@alexandrite9821 Ah yes! You may need to build out a free edge and it is important to use a nail form to avoid getting product on the skin. We will link to two videos, one for customizing a form and the second showing how this can be done! instagram.com/reel/CpxSdOwAMIc/?igshid=MmJiY2I4NDBkZg==

      We cure our Light Elegance gels in our LEDdot Gen3 Lamp (LED lamp with 400nm curing) for 1 minute. We do recommend using a curing light that has been thoroughly tested for cure thickness and doing your research to ensure full curing of your gels! If you would like to learn more about gel curing lamps, please check out our Chemist Corner playlist with our Head Chemist and Co-Owner, Jim McConnell!

    Do I need monomer on the brush to sculpt? And woth what product do I clean the brush in between and after use?

    • @LightEleganceHQ
      @LightEleganceHQ  2 місяці тому

      No monomer is needed when working with gel! You can always clear color out of your hard gel application brushes with clear top coat as needed

    It’s kind of thick. Is it gonna cause a major heat spike?

    • @LightEleganceHQ
      @LightEleganceHQ  7 місяців тому +1

      This should not cause a major heat spike, but we do recommend using the hard gel setting on the lamp that slowly ramps up the curing over 120 secs!

    but when I let it self-level it becomes bulky on the sides

      I used to have this problem as well . Flip the nail over for like 3-4 seconds so the product pools towards the center instead of the side walls . It helps to do one hands at a time .

    What do you “cleanse” with? Builder gel always leaves a tackiness even after curing. Is what your using a solution?

    • @LightEleganceHQ
      @LightEleganceHQ  9 місяців тому

      Yes, most of our builder gels will leave an inhibition layer "aka tacky layer" after curing that needs to be cleansed before finish filing. We suggest our LEpro Cleanser as it is formulated without any unnecessary ingredients. Some cleansers can contain dyes, fragrances, oils or other ingredients that can interfere with adhesion.

    Would like to know why people like hard gel? Isn’t it super hard to remove? Just curious.

    • @LightEleganceHQ
      @LightEleganceHQ  9 місяців тому +7

      Great question! Hard gel is loved by nail pros (and clients!) for it's durable wear, ability to add strength & structure to natural nails, pros can work quickly since it is self leveling and allows flexibility to the extension (where Acrylic can be much less flexible and in some cases- too hard for some nail types). Our Lexy Line (hard builder gels) offers several different types of building gel viscosities & flexibilities so there is a product for every nail pro's working preference and client's nail type needs! It is also super easy & quick to remove with an eFile (or hand file) , however we often recommend fills to save time, money and product for regular clients! 😊 We hope this helps, let us know if you have any other questions!
