There is some partial fixity in intermediate support, for analysis by displacement method it is assumed as fixed... But it is not representing the exact nature of fixed support.

I have a confusion with the formula of relative stiffness for the far end fixed as I heard that the formula is I/L not 4EI/L(if far end is hinge or roller)..correct me
What I use is if far end is fixed then it is 4EI/L and if far end is hinged or roller then it is 3EI/L. This formula is correct. There are alternative formulas and that could be the one you are talking about but I need to see correctness of those formula.

learn Application software of your interested areas.. for example if you are interested in structural engineering you learn staddpro Etabs and others... if you are interested in construction management then learn primavera, BEAMS software.
First one you can use when simply supported beam subjected to udl.. second one used in fixed beam subjected to udl. Moment wl2/8 is developed at midspan whereas wl2/12 developed at fixed end.
This is THE BEST explanation on UA-cam for moment distribution method, better than Engineer4Free Structure Free and Dr Structure
Thanks
Firoz Nadaf is the best in structural analysis.......very calm and composed in the way he delivers the solution !
Thanks Musawa

hey tqsm broo, u said it simply to solve these problems.......
i like this Firoz bhai it helped me to understand the method keep it up
nice video sr it was too helpful for understand the MDM method thnk u sr

I have lot of confusions in that..

Sir i liked ur video and understand the mdm in fixed beams but unable to solve overhanging beams problems pls help me
How can I help u
Dear sir..as you said when ever far end is fixed we should carry over..what about carry over if end support is hinged ..please clarify
No carry over moment when far end is hinged or roller support.
I also suggest you to see my video on fundamentals of Moment Distribution factor.

In some problems the c.o is done only about one or two times... I don't understand how much c.o we should do for diff problem..can u help me

So even if the intermediate support is a pin, it will be assumed it is fixed since its intermediate?
There is some partial fixity in intermediate support, for analysis by displacement method it is assumed as fixed... But it is not representing the exact nature of fixed support.
@@CivilEnggLectures Thank you sir
zbrdst bhai very easy and unerstandable meathod of teaching.
I have a question , what we do if in carry over step we does not have fixed support ?
thank you...no carry over moment if the far end is hinged or roller...
intermediate support is treated as fixed support.

Good
Sir I have a doubt regarding relative stiffness in MDM method relative stiffness is E/L and 3/4 E/L when to you use those
If far end is fixed then use E by L.. if it is hinged or roller then use 3 by 4 E by L
good
@@CivilEnggLectures then y u used 4EI /L
4el/l can also be used
@@CivilEnggLectures thank u sir ...

If there had been a fixed end moment at AB instead of 0 would you carry over to BA?
There is fixed support at A, in this Problem.
Nice explanation thanks a lot
Thanks
sir...plx upload cantilever method fr frames...
What is carry over factor when the support is hinged sir
Zero
Good job
But please try to derive span moment and fixed moment formula..how they came

One small doubt if the end is fixed k value is I÷L
Yes... You can also take 4EI/L
Solve by adding an external moment at any joint
Maybe someday
I'm not finding any video with this type of example ....can you do it ?
I can guide to you.. how to solve..
Oh please guide me then

Why u don't balance a and d moments
