    what about joint load 16KN at joint B..you didnt consider load 16KN at calculations of fixed end moments and at calculation of moment distribution..what is the concept of joint load? will it ignore? pls clarify

    Sir, What about the 16kN load acting at B, it's not included in the first step(while calculating fixed end moments in non-sway analysis) calculations

      That load will not contribute in fixed end moments as it is at the end of the beam.

    Sir why is relative stifness 4EI/L & not EI/L as in your other videos of beams. I think 4EI/L is the formula for stifness & not relative stifness. Please reply

      Actually you can take either 4EI/L when far end fixed and 3EI/L when far end hinged or you can take EI/L when far end fixed and 3EI/4L when far end hinged it will give you same answer.

    Sir there is a a sign convention mistake in your drawing you have mixed clock wise and anticlockwise moment directions ,thus it creates confusion.

      There should be EI/l and the value of I=4l then It is 4EI/L but not 16EI/L

      See you can use either of these formulas
      1) far end hinged =3EI/4L
      2) far end fixed = EI/L
      OR
      1) Far end hinged =3EI/L
      2) Far end fixed = 4EI/L
      both set of formulas are correct in the first set 4 is take common.

      If A is a type of support especially fixed or hinged then there is no possibility of translational deflection at that point.

      you can assume any direction but generally just see logically in which direction the frame will deflect and then draw H1 H2 forces as reactions.

      I guess he assumed the directions of moment and mentioned them with +/- sign. You see he took all moments as clockwise with +/- sign

      You can either show the moment with the correct direction and a positive value ot you can show the moment with negative value and its incorrect direction. The thing here is i have shown all moments to be clockwise but i have written their values correct with the signs

      It is a little bit difficult and lengthy process, the procedure although remains same finding distribution factors and other, i will try to make video but its difficult to get time these days out of other commitments of videos.

      Woman are you idiot? Do you understand what 'I' stands for in 4EI/L, its moment of inertia of the cross section and that particular cross section is having 4 times moment of inertia as compared to a section having MOI of 'I'. So its perfectly correct numerical, go and check it with any software and before commenting mind your tongue. Think for a moment understand engineering and then comment.
