Just as an alternate method to doing the stars you can place a pencil in front of you airbrush and have the white splatter onto your canvas. I am trying to do a checker pattern on the bottom of my Eldar flyers, do you have a good solution with taping the pattern, where my problem lies is with keeping the tape flush with the model.
Try cutting out a single stencil from a 4 or 5 inches wide slice of frisket film or tape with the checker pattern on it. I have also seen pre made sets of checkers and diamonds etc. good for applying a layer of liquid mask to keep the edges sharp on the patterns too.
What do you do to change paint on your airbrush? Do you use any special technique, pass water only... I always make a mess when changing colors... but I think I might be doing something wrong...
Hi mate, quick question what is the best varnish brand to use for oil wash? I've tried the vallejo arylic one but oil doesnt flow : ( I was looking at winsor and newton or liquidtex what do you recommend mate? thanks.

What's the correct Air brush to use? As the one I have doesn't have different pressure settings for a range of brush sizes when spraying the paint

do not know about brush but I have seen some tutorials where space them was created with a fine sponge on a stick.
I spray the remaining pant in an airbrush cleaner bottle, then rinse the Airbrush cup till the paint is gone then im good to go for the next color
