I first heard the Moody Blues evidently in 1972 when Nights in White Satin was re-released. It was amazing to a 10 year old kid who opened my dreams to being the Knight on a Horse going to see my Princess who would become my Queen. My brother had "This is the Moody Blues" and we played it 100 times and I knew every note. Then we were given some OLD records and one of them was Days of Future Passed. That's when I realized I should revisit all of their previous albums. For some reason I never listened to Childrens Childrens Children and had never bought the Album but it is one of my first CD's ever! Paid like 11 bucks for it in Atlanta music store. Overtime it has become my favorite album and second side candle of life sun is still shining some of the best music ever made on earth!
Just love the Moody Blues. I'm now 71 and I still listen to them. They really didn't get the accolades they should have. In my opinion better than the Beatles and ant other band of their time. Just love them ❤❤❤
1972 to days date I have heard the Heavenly holy music of the Moody Blues. they are the best thing that had happened to the tormented world we are living in......save our souls.....😢😢😢😢❤❤❤❤❤❤😅😅😅😅😅
I agree completely, the MB's were offering Spiritual directions, lots of practical Spiritual metaphors in their lyrics/music. I advanced toward my awakening to know/experience with a peak realization and spiritual epiphany from age 21, and now im in my 72 year and still listen to their music. I love this band they helped me to "see with the eyes of a child, you will come out and see, that your world is spinning round, and through life it will be, a small part of a hope of a love that exists, through the eyes of a child you will see"😇
From 1968 until now, they are the best , I am going to see them on my birthday this year in Philly, where I first saw them in 1973, 5th row at the Spectrum. It was magical. I have seen them many times and looking forward to 1 last time…
Top 3 albums 1)InSearch of the Lost Chord 2) To Our Children’s Children’s Children 3)Days Of Future Past. All other Moody Blues albums tied for 4th 🎸🎸🎹🥁🪈 😊
I don't think they were directly influenced by anyone in particular.. I think that they were possessed by an honest & genuine search for meaning & in doing so, filled a niche within the new progressive music scene..
Loved the Moodies since 1967. One of the greatest albums hands down!
The finest album ever created in my humble opinion.
They set the bar higher than their peers with a profound message that points upwards and uplifts and points to the Author of the universe

They were the bomb amongst those of us who could think. I'm same age.
Class music that's why
Me too. Mike Pinder just died. 💔
I THINK THAT JEFFERSON AIRPLANE, JANIS JOPLIN, THE DOORS AND LED ZEPPELIN ARE BETTER THAN THE BEATLES❤❤❤😂😂❤❤❤
72 y/o man still loves them too, play them a lot, have to get my dose of them.
My fave album in the 60’s. Played it every day for more than 2 years. Brilliant.
Magical… Classical… Pure Moody Blues…
I am 74 and still listen to the true masters of the Moody’s.
@howard-kn6gs .. Yes, they provided stimulation, poetic outlet, and artistry for those who cherished a searching soul..

Superb production value with profound lyrics that is on a spiritual level above most other music.
Thank you to my parents for introducing me to The Moody Blues when I was very young. I'm 53 now and they are my favorite.
