I just saw you drive down Hunter Street in Newcastle and looked you up. It’s the front bar that makes that van!

Very neatly done and a major improvement on the standard plastic apron. Would not surprise me if you get some requests for your fabrication drawings.

Thanks 🙏 If I had a shop I’d make them for sale because there’s nothing quite like this in the market.

@@SaltyGypsea it’s me again, I really like your bull bar. Would you consider install one more like that in Sydney on my crafter$$$?

Bro!! What a legend! Love your van and set up 👌🏼👌🏼
Always thoroughly enjoy your videos. Crazy how good your van goes in the sand.
I just bought the Jayco Kampervan 410 which I’m slowly modifying. You could make some good coin making the front bars for folks if you wanted to. Let me know if you do because I’ll buy one 😜
Keep up the good work. Hope to meet you on the trails.
Hey, lastly, I’m putting a set of 255/70/16 maxis on my rig. You should check out the king Offroad grapplers. This combo is just under 3Kgs lighter than the stock rims and has 1250kg load rating on the rims . They would bring the rims in by 12mm as they are 35 ET on 16x7’s. When I run the 255’s it would further bring your tyres in by another 6mm. Worth investigating!
    Take care bro

      Hi Michael!
      Thank you 🙏
8” Rims are definitely the go for sand driving and they don’t stick that much but a lift is needed.
      These vans are just awesome!

Well done mate! I own a Crafter 4x4 by my own and I am currently struggeling with the same issue. Really no aftermarket Parts to solve the recovery Hook and winch issues. So really amazing work you have done there. Jealous!

Thanks! No, I have a background in Automotive though I’m finding that I am loving fabricating lately and created a brand hopefully to break into the market at some point. Dreams at this point 🙏

Wow, that's incredible work! I don't know if "easy" is the word I would use to make it though! Don't suppose you would sell the plan to get one made down here in Tassie?

I’m looking to get a similar bar for my new 2022 Crafter. Found one online, but not as good as yours.

    Nice work. Well done.
Did you have to do anything special for compliance (like, for the airbags)?

    • @SaltyGypsea
      @SaltyGypsea  Рік тому +2

      Thanks for the question 🙏
I read the compliance documents to ADR and I believe it complies but it has nothing to do with AIR BAGS but rather the shape relative to impact with a human and where things like blinkers and number plates etc should be located. The air bags will still function as per normal due to the way the sensors trigger.

I love your Bull Bar. I'm wondering about a winch for the Crafter (With ACC sensors). I cannot find this available in Australia. However, I've found it in the UK via VanWorx. Unfortunately, VanWorx are not prepared to share information on the the fabricated mount or sell it. How would you like a challenge to fabricate me a winch mount (for the appropriate free of course) ? Take a look at this link to see where the cable exits the bumper...ua-cam.com/video/b5Ywxs-bg_U/v-deo.html. I'm sure there would be lots of takers for this.

Would love to have a workshop where I can fabricate parts but my lifestyle cant accommodate it. Perhaps in the future.
