Love the van! Thanks for showing us through it. It looks so sorted for all the stuff you enjoy doing. Question? The 75l water tank. Where did you source that from? I’d like to order one when my 4motion arrives. Keep up the awesome videos.
Loved the way you did this tour Billy, outstanding editing and video content as always. As a slightly OCD person who loves organizing the way some people love Football, I'm impressed with your organizing skills! 🍴😊
Thanks John! The 4Motion is 100mm higher in the floor which reduces internal height, I’m 5 7” and I can’t stand completely straight but that’s ok because I’m only standing when I’m at the kitchen, every other time I’m either in the bed, sitting at the table or not in the van. Sitting or laying down outside under the 270 degree awning in nature is awesome!
Thanks for all the videos Billy. I have watched these videos more times than any others, and I have watched a lot. Really interesting, especially the 3 part series including the conveyor belt track. I have on order my own MWB 4 motion Crafter van and was checking out the wheels you upgraded to. I presume it was not possible to fit these AT tyres on the original VW 16" rims due to the width of the VW rims. Is that correct?
Hi 👋 I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos! Previously I did run BFG AT 245/75/16 on the 6.5” original rims but they are not suitable for soft sand because the footprint is too narrow. Now I have 8” rims with 265/70/16, so much better 😎 but you’ll need a lift or you’ll need to remove the front guard liners because they’ll scrub.
Thanks for the reply. I was considering the lift kit, now thats another reason to justify it 😃. Have you noticed more tyre noise with the AT's or if performance and economy is affected by the bigger tyres? @@SaltyGypsea
Great to see the van fit-out. We have the same model crafter which will be used as a temporary camper (removable interior bed/kitchen pod) so it can be used as a normal van the rest of the time. Just wondering, which tyres did you put on? I hear a lot of people going for the BF Goodrich's but we don't want to put lift in it and I reckon some more of the aggressive tyres rub without any lift.
Hi! I previously had fitted 245/75/16 BFG KO2 on factory rims and they were great, no lift needed and no scrubbing. I now run 265/70/16 on 8” rims because I do a lot of off-road and beach driving, the wider rims and tyres give me a bigger footprint which is ideal because Betty now weighs in at 3.4t. You don’t need a lift for these wheels but you will need to remove the front mud flaps and modify the front inner guard liners.
Great videos, thanks for sharing. I’m planning on doing the same soon but due to stock shortages I can’t find a van anywhere to measure interior dimensions. Pls tell me how wide it is at your bed height? I need to know if I’ll be able to sleep sideways like you do. Thanks in advance 👍
Hi! No not really, the benefits of a low roof far weight out been able to stand for the short time that you do, I’m either sitting, laying down in bed or out of the van altogether. You would smash the roof in the bush and also what you carrying on it, I also reckon you’d get instability driving on the road with the roof loaded. Also awning options would be limited.
Man you deserve more subscribers for the content you give.
Thank you! Please share so I can make more videos.

@@SaltyGypsea Amazing! Thanks for the advice. Also, what offset have you got on the rims?
I drive one of those for work, but the long wheel base hi top.
Just curious why you didn't get the lwb if you're going to live in it?
Love the van btw
Thanks! I like to get it way off road and the LWB is too long for that, the MWB has also more than enough room if you pack it smartly

Releasing an in-depth van build video soon

I did all myself
Thanku 4 the video dude💫✨
You’re welcome
Great video...how much was the van and how much did you pay to fit everything
Watch out for following episodes, detailed van build
Greetings. Do you regret not buying a high roof so that you can stand up straight inside the van?

Billy. Betty is SO HOT.
I’ll let her know, she loves to be complimented 💕
