For the fireworks one, smack down/raw would start with a theme song video pack, cut to the led stage with a massive firework display and then the commentary team would welcome the tv audience to the show.
They were awesome and set the tone for the show. The crowds would go crazy. Maybe they should do the wrestlers arriving for pre shows/ppv or smackdown and pyro for raw.

Every now and then this is just kinda true. It typically does not bury them for good though. I was at the Detroit AEW Dynamite last year where Julia Hart and Anna Jay had a no DQ match. The crowd started chanting we want tables a few times and there were no table spots so the crowd was just kinda dull for most of the match. I felt bad for the girls and felt like they tried their best but the match wasn't that good. The rest of the card kicked major ass though!
World Titles used to change hands a lot on Raw, especially during the attitude era. Secondary titles almost exclusively changed hands on TV and even sometimes house shows until the Triple H era when he began restoring prestige. I think you can both have prestigious titles, and have them change hands on TV, it doesn't have to be either or. Within the last decade, AJ Styles (SD 2017), Kevin Owens (Raw 2017), Daniel Bryan (SD 2018), Bobby Lashley (Raw 2021), Big E (Raw 2021), Brock Lesnar (SD 2019), and Roman Reigns (Raw 2015) have all won World Titles on TV.
I miss when world title matches happened often. We should sprinkle in a few more per year just to keep the audiences guessing because I agree it makes for a very formulaic title reign if it's only defended once a month or fewer than that

@@ColeslawSSBM1996 Yeah, these days the only "big matches" we get on TV are lesser matches that maybe in the past would be on PPV, like Uncle Howdy vs Chad Gable, American Made vs Wyatt Six, and a handful of title defenses for midcard belts. There are so many good storylines and too many ads on PLEs that it wouldnt hurt for Triple H to not box himself in with five matches, and maybe throw in a sixth if the show needed, especially now that we see so many tag matches thrown on TV. I think the last men's World Title match on TV was Seth vs Drew at Day One (which was a special episode so barely counts) which was like eight months ago. I think Solo vs Cody that went like three minutes was technically for the title but that barely counts. Other than those two I don't think there's been one all year.

I'm going to make an argument for the ONE championship. I grew up watching wrestling in the 90s and when the brand split happen, the first six months had the World champion appear on both shows to defend their title. Sometimes they would beef with a guy from Raw and sometimes they would beef with a guy from Smackdown. It made sense because how can you have TWO world champions? How is Cody calling himself undisputed when Gunther is currently disputing that? A champion appearing on both shows while the roster is more split just has more stakes to it. The champion will be hunted by people from both shows. Same goes for the Women's title and tag titles. There should be ONE in my opinion. ONE true World champion, ONE true Women's World champion, and ONE true World Tag champions. It also freshens things up when they lose the belt and the new champion now has to appear on both brands for the duration of their reign. It just makes no sense to have two world titles, which one is the real supreme champion? I doubt Austin, HBK, Bret, Taker, or Rock would have been as big if there was always another guy with another world title under WWE disputing their claim as the top guy. Mid card titles can remain as they are.
Gable is insanely good, it's a shame he wasn't used properly for the better part of his wwe run. But the best wrestler on the planet right now is Gunther, he's on another level. I don't remember ever seeing a bad Gunther match

In my Jacob Fatu hot take I was trying to say Jacob is great in the ring and a great enforcer but fans overrate him by saying he should be the tribal chief over Solo because he better than Solo which he is but only in the ring. Back when Solo was the enforcer especially when he first joined he got similar hype that Jacob got. Fans was saying he should be the one to dethrone Roman but now everyone overly criticize everything he does because they keep comparing him to Roman due to Solo trying to be the tribal chief but fans not realizing that nobody is fit to be the tribal chief other than Roman. If Jacob was in Solo role fans would complain as well because no matter what he will be a significant downgrade to Roman. Plus if Solo was booked the way Jacob is currently then fans wouldn’t say Jacob should be the leader of the new bloodline. I hope I explained my hot take better this time than I did on twitter
I get the booking philosophy but quite literally Jacob is more experienced and better than Solo in every way, including on the mic. Look at his MLW promos, once WWE gives him promo time he will easily be an even bigger star, especially over Solo who just lacks that IT factor.

On the "any given monday"/more upset victories, my pitch creates a cross-brand triple threat title. Each title match is against 1 person from Raw, 1 from Smackdown, 1 from NXT, and its always a triple threat match. Triple threat is easier to write upsets, and so you get the title match/change excitement without disturbing the regular title scene. And yes, it might seem like the title changes too often, but just have commentators not # of successful defense or days as champion, and have that be how good a champ they are
People who say that Def Rebel is bad because there are catchphrases seem to forget that the Rock's theme(which is a certifiable earworm) is a musical remix of his catchprase.
My “cold take” is I think wwe needs to go all in with alba and Isla’s witch gimmick. In nxt, when they formed a tag team they had multiple segments around a cauldron where they addressed feuds and matches. This would do wonders for them on the main roster.
Do fans want new stars to be build or to just throw around the word bury or aura for a superstar they don't like? How the hell is solo suppose to continue to grow if he doesn't get to put down an enemy or do his role in a way where he can be strong some? The Wiseman told Solo that Roman was aware of the guys in the new Bloodline but didnt bring them in because they were too out of control. They acknowledge Solo as their Tribal Chief because he's the one that brought them into WWE and the reason they have their jobs. Jacob has also alluded to this when acknowledging him. They had essentially been blackballed by Roman and WWE for being violent savages and Solo provided this opportunity.
I wish people knew what the word “buried” meant before they used it. The Bloodline story has always been about loyalty… Jacob bring a threat doesn’t automatically make him a leader. And there is a reason why he had to bring in his own people in order to be “acknowledged”
Yes, the main world titles used to be defended on and occasionally change hand on regular episodes of smackdown and raw. In 2019, Brock beat Kofi for the WWE Championship on an episode of Smackdown. Both Bobby Lashely and Big E won the WWE Championship on episodes of raw in 2021. But a main title switching hands on TV hasn’t happened in years. There was a time when it felt like a world title was being won on TV like every 6 months. I remember in 2011, Rey Mysterio and John Cena both won the WWE Championship on the same night in one episode of RAW. But to be fair, Roman held both world title belts for like two years straight recently, so there haven’t been a lot of opportunities for the belts to change hands. Seth at least defended the world title a couple times on Raw and NXT when he first won it last year.

34:20 here’s an idea. Randy loses to Gunther at the PLE, Kevin loses to Cody at the PLE. Randy loses clean, KO loses to a roll up or he has his foot under the rope . Randy asks Cody for a shot at his title and Cody declines since he beat Kevin via shenanigans he feels like he wants to prove he can beat Kevin the right way. So he tells Randy to get to the back of the line in the most polite way possible. The next week KO is seen talking to Randy backstage because KO was put in a #1 contenders match against someone random who can afford to take a loss and he’s wishing him luck but you can see the jealousy on Randy’s face. KO wins, Cody comes out to congratulate him and when they get backstage Randy gives Kevin a handshake and ignores Cody entirely. The next week Randy and Kevin are seen talking again, this time the audience can’t hear what’s being said. When Cody has his segment they come out and Cody takes an RKO and a pop up powerbomb officially turning KO heel but Randy is a tweener(I’ll explain why in my 2nd comment)
KO’s heel turn is easy to explain. He could bring back his prizefighter gimmick and say “look, when I won my first championship in this company I did it by turning against my best friend Sami Zayn, what the hell made Cody think I had the balls to nearly kill my best friend but not him? I just wanted the gold around his waist”. Randy’s turn is also easy to explain, Cody would be nothing without Randy(think back to the Legacy stable) and Cody had the audacity to deny Randy a title match. So they beat Cody down for weeks until he finally agrees to face both men in a triple threat at Survivor Series. It seems like KO and Randy are on the same page until Randy hits and RKO on Kevin after Kevin knocks out Cody to steal the championship right from under Kevin’s nose. Why? Because he’s the Viper and he can’t be trusted. Randy winning his 15th title is not only well deserved but it would also be a major ratings boost and add a bit of unpredictability since everybody thinks Cody has an easy path to WM41. Randy and KO could have a mini feud before Randy drops the belt back to Cody at the Royal Rumble and then the WWE can continue on with the Rock/Roman/Cody saga just in time for the road to WrestleMania
Here is a take and others can judge it's hotness. They should go back to the brand being more split. Both brands should build to their own PLEs. Dual brand should be kept to Wrestlemania, Summerslam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, King and Queen of the Ring, and Money in the Bank. Also guys like Randy Orton who is suposed to be a Smackdown guy shouldn't be able to just show up on Raw and challenge their champion with zero explanation. There should have to be a trade or some kind of deal made that explains why a Smackdown guy is suddenly on Raw challenging for the main title.
Go check out the NXT and NXT UK run of Imperium, Giovanni Vinci performed under his birth name Fabian Aichner and he can flat out go. He's a freak athlete and if they let him, he'll be a very flashy babyface. He's just been stuck in the role of Gunther's whipping boy for so long people have forgotten how good he is.
In today's WWE a world title change (at least for the two world titles and the IC title to a lesser extent) is a big deal. A change in the Undisputed title crowned the new face of the company in Cody, and a change in the Heavyweight title elevated Gunther as the top heel on Raw. If they lose, it should be a special event on one of the biggest shows of the year. I just can't see Cody lose his title outside of WrestleMania or SummerSlam. Same for Gunther and even Bron Breakker now.
I think the intention was that The Shield had no leader they were all equals; although, Rollins asserted he was the leader when he turned on The Shield; until Rollins said it, my mind assumed that Jon Moxley (Ambrose) was the leader because he did most of the promos for the group. Nothing was ever really clear about The Shield because there wasn't much storytelling, just beating people up and putting them through tables.

John Cena did a United States Championship open challenge every week on Raw. Lots of fun matches and you never knew if he was going to lose the title or not. Made the mid card title feel super important at the time since Cena was the top guy holding a 2nd tier belt.
I actually think Bayley’s new theme has the foundation to be a great theme. The first few seconds after the “ROLE MODEL” are perfect for a crowd chant but the beat drop messes it up
Totally random but you should watch the talking smack promo from 2016 involving Daniel Byran and The Miz. It was unscripted and it was just wonderful. The whole segment will make you fall in LOVE with the miz.

Hot Take: The Usos break up didn't do anything for Jimmy Uso. Jimmy Uso didn't do anything in The Bloodline ever since Jey Uso left. The Bloodline storyline helped Jey Uso and especially Sami Zayn to become bigger singles stars. Also Solo Sikoa is getting his chance now. But Jimmy Uso? He lost every match before his injury. He only got one singles feud and he lost at WrestleMania against Jey and to be honest, Jey didn't get anything from that match either. It was too short and not great at all.
RKO Randy could absolutely turn megaheel again. ESPECIALLY if we end up getting a final Orton vs Cena match. Cody is so linked in history with Randy that Randy feeling like he's not getting the respect he deserves as a legend (oh the irony) could have him turn. Heel KO is just another tuesday for him too
I could be wrong here but this is my take on Jacob being able to take out Solo if he wants to. I think the Tongans and Jacob work for the Rock. I think Solo thinks he is working for the Rock. I think they will betray Solo when the Rock comes back. I think Solo is just being used to build Rock's Bloodline. That is just a guess and I could be wrong but that could be cool.
Hot Take: I HATE PROMOS & The formula that comes with it. Guy walks out talks for 10 mins , music hits , now its 2 people talking, now its a match made later that night. I dont know exactly how to fix that problem. but id love for someone to track in these next few weeks how much talking vs wrestling vs commercial time thats going on. There should certainly be more wrestling than anything.
I've been a fan of Giovanni Vinci since he was Fabian Achnier back in 2017. He did the Vinni Vidi Vinci gimmick in NXT for a few months. It was a little goofy, but I liked it.
I think the new bloodline members all follow Solo because Heyman said that these guys were thugs. So since Roman/Heyman denied bringing them in it makes why they should all have issues with Roman and follow Solo for giving them an opportunity
I think your downplaying prices a little. Im going to the RAW after Bash in Berlin and the lowest price I could find was $106 for nosebleeds behind the jumbotron. I ended up spending $200 to get a middle section seat that im hoping will be good but i have a little extra money to be able to do that.
Hot take: I really don’t care at all whenever brands crossover and they don’t follow the “brand split.” There’s only so many feuds and combinations of matches you can do until it gets boring so why wouldn’t you cross wrestlers over on to the different shows. Just wanna go against the grain on your take on Def Rebel just a bit, the catch phrase thing before each song just feels like a crutch to have an easily identifiable sound to get a crowd pop. I remember watching the latest royal rumble and it was interesting how the audience barely reacted to any themes because nothing was recognizable. I'm not so much in the camp that def rebel songs are bad they just don't seem to stand out like old songs used to. With that being said it's not like old themes didn't do a similar thing with Undertakers gong or Stone Colds glass shatter.

For face MITB winners...look into Big E from a few years ago. Probably the best portrayal of a face MITB I've seen. Roman didn't get to be Head of the Table out of respect, he got it out of fear and gaslighting. And no, the SHIELD technically didn't have a leader. Different people took prominence at different times. 17:56 I think Drew and Punk are clearly both jerks. They've set this up so everybody is justified, they've both gone over the line. I just enjoy the clash of two humongous egoes. 19:31 I pretty much vibe with you on Bayley's theme. It's better than the previous song but there's no participation. 20:34 Unholy Union used to have a more spooky gimmick, but it's been sidelined other than the vibes. I think the best Alba Fyre (aka Kay Lee Ray, she's been referred to as both over time) spotlight I've seen as I didn't watch watch her in NXT UK, I enjoyed her work in the 2.0 Wargames match. 22:53 you know, the whole Veni Vidi Vinci thing is funny to me. He had this gimmick briefly as a solo in NXT before getting called up. 23:41 He specifically means the world title, not the midcard ones. I also agree they need women's singles titles too. There's a hard choice there. It runs the world champ ragged, but look how cool it's been how the Women's tag title has been contended with on every brand at once. I would love a singles/world title booked this way. 25:51 Back in the day they used to start a show with a big Pyro blast. It's exactly like you described! But I like the walk-ins. Honestly I'd like it if they borrowed what they used to do on Saturday Night Main Event: They used to have the wrestlers cut a quick promo at the start up as a way to tell us what matches were happening that night. 29:15 I think a brief, maybe one night title win followed by a dominant rematch would do the trick. This won't hurt the person they engage with if it's Cena. 32:12 I think the title scene is on the build. Knight, Santos, Melo, Andrade, are all on the build and could slot in there. KO is a good challenger. Randy down the line. I think Jacob will be there, and Tama is a sleeper world title guy. 34:43 Def Rebel did more music than most people realize. They're okay. I do think they got some flak during early NXT and in the 20s because they were doing like a bazillion songs at once. But they're capable of good stuff. I do think they need to cool it with the entrance flair and need more diversity. They need to quit starting new songs with old starts; it just feels like they're not confident. My hot take: Wrestling fans get extremely wrapped up in stuff that absolutely doesn't matter as much as they think it does. (Entrance themes, name changes, whether or not they immediately win all the time, technical skill, etc.)

I don't know about momentum, becuase he didn't have it long enough for that to matter--and really, faces probably aren't going to ever hold it long. This issue echoes back to when he first won the IC title and he was sidelined in his own angles, and then they did it to him again with the WWE title. For someone who is widely well liked, and seemed to tick all the boxes for what you'd think VKM would want (other than height, I guess?) they sure repeatedly put the brakes on him super hard, and I don't know why they did him so dirty, and now they can't rectify it and this makes me sad.

Lashley had interaction with the New Day in *July* of that year, leading up to Kofi's match with him at HIAC. THAT was when Big E was haunting Heyman and Roman and dangling the briefcase over them. The only connection Big E had to the New Day on Raw and the Hurt Business (since they were on separate brands at that point) was Big E showing up on the Thunderdome screens to cheer them on during a Hurt Business vs. New Day match one time. And yes, Lashley vs. Goldberg did happen at Summerslam, but he was still occupied with Roman at that point. They probably *could* have had Big E reference Hurt Business coming after New Day, but they really never did. And until that cash-in, Big E pretty much only teased a cash-in on Roman up until he called his shot.

I wanna know what themes you didn’t like from older wrestlers. I have a hard time believing that you hated some of the legit popular ones, and I don’t think it’s just nostalgia. Hate to ruin your naive enthusiasm, but it's not uncommon for there to be a lot of hype and effort put into a wrestler's return videos only to end up being a complete flop. Maybe it will trend in the other direction under Triple H, but when Vince was around these return videos would frequently go on for months only for the person to quickly return to their original character, disappear within a couple weeks of returning, or never appear. I hope I am wrong about Vinci, it did eventually work out for LA Knight, Maxxine, and others, but the point is that the videos themselves don't mean much.

For the fireworks one, smack down/raw would start with a theme song video pack, cut to the led stage with a massive firework display and then the commentary team would welcome the tv audience to the show.

My hot take, “we want tables” buries the talent
Every now and then this is just kinda true. It typically does not bury them for good though. I was at the Detroit AEW Dynamite last year where Julia Hart and Anna Jay had a no DQ match. The crowd started chanting we want tables a few times and there were no table spots so the crowd was just kinda dull for most of the match. I felt bad for the girls and felt like they tried their best but the match wasn't that good. The rest of the card kicked major ass though!

World Titles used to change hands a lot on Raw, especially during the attitude era. Secondary titles almost exclusively changed hands on TV and even sometimes house shows until the Triple H era when he began restoring prestige. I think you can both have prestigious titles, and have them change hands on TV, it doesn't have to be either or. Within the last decade, AJ Styles (SD 2017), Kevin Owens (Raw 2017), Daniel Bryan (SD 2018), Bobby Lashley (Raw 2021), Big E (Raw 2021), Brock Lesnar (SD 2019), and Roman Reigns (Raw 2015) have all won World Titles on TV.
Especially more cash ins should happen on raw and smack down. When was the last time this happened? Maybe The Miz or did he cash in on a PPV in 2021?
I miss when world title matches happened often. We should sprinkle in a few more per year just to keep the audiences guessing because I agree it makes for a very formulaic title reign if it's only defended once a month or fewer than that

@@ColeslawSSBM1996 Yeah, these days the only "big matches" we get on TV are lesser matches that maybe in the past would be on PPV, like Uncle Howdy vs Chad Gable, American Made vs Wyatt Six, and a handful of title defenses for midcard belts. There are so many good storylines and too many ads on PLEs that it wouldnt hurt for Triple H to not box himself in with five matches, and maybe throw in a sixth if the show needed, especially now that we see so many tag matches thrown on TV. I think the last men's World Title match on TV was Seth vs Drew at Day One (which was a special episode so barely counts) which was like eight months ago. I think Solo vs Cody that went like three minutes was technically for the title but that barely counts. Other than those two I don't think there's been one all year.

I'm going to make an argument for the ONE championship. I grew up watching wrestling in the 90s and when the brand split happen, the first six months had the World champion appear on both shows to defend their title. Sometimes they would beef with a guy from Raw and sometimes they would beef with a guy from Smackdown. It made sense because how can you have TWO world champions? How is Cody calling himself undisputed when Gunther is currently disputing that? A champion appearing on both shows while the roster is more split just has more stakes to it. The champion will be hunted by people from both shows. Same goes for the Women's title and tag titles. There should be ONE in my opinion. ONE true World champion, ONE true Women's World champion, and ONE true World Tag champions. It also freshens things up when they lose the belt and the new champion now has to appear on both brands for the duration of their reign. It just makes no sense to have two world titles, which one is the real supreme champion? I doubt Austin, HBK, Bret, Taker, or Rock would have been as big if there was always another guy with another world title under WWE disputing their claim as the top guy. Mid card titles can remain as they are.

In my Jacob Fatu hot take I was trying to say Jacob is great in the ring and a great enforcer but fans overrate him by saying he should be the tribal chief over Solo because he better than Solo which he is but only in the ring.
Back when Solo was the enforcer especially when he first joined he got similar hype that Jacob got. Fans was saying he should be the one to dethrone Roman but now everyone overly criticize everything he does because they keep comparing him to Roman due to Solo trying to be the tribal chief but fans not realizing that nobody is fit to be the tribal chief other than Roman. If Jacob was in Solo role fans would complain as well because no matter what he will be a significant downgrade to Roman. Plus if Solo was booked the way Jacob is currently then fans wouldn’t say Jacob should be the leader of the new bloodline.

On the "any given monday"/more upset victories, my pitch creates a cross-brand triple threat title.
Each title match is against 1 person from Raw, 1 from Smackdown, 1 from NXT, and its always a triple threat match.
Triple threat is easier to write upsets, and so you get the title match/change excitement without disturbing the regular title scene.
And yes, it might seem like the title changes too often, but just have commentators not # of successful defense or days as champion, and have that be how good a champ they are
People who say that Def Rebel is bad because there are catchphrases seem to forget that the Rock's theme(which is a certifiable earworm) is a musical remix of his catchprase.
My “cold take” is I think wwe needs to go all in with alba and Isla’s witch gimmick. In nxt, when they formed a tag team they had multiple segments around a cauldron where they addressed feuds and matches. This would do wonders for them on the main roster.
Do fans want new stars to be build or to just throw around the word bury or aura for a superstar they don't like? How the hell is solo suppose to continue to grow if he doesn't get to put down an enemy or do his role in a way where he can be strong some? The Wiseman told Solo that Roman was aware of the guys in the new Bloodline but didnt bring them in because they were too out of control. They acknowledge Solo as their Tribal Chief because he's the one that brought them into WWE and the reason they have their jobs. Jacob has also alluded to this when acknowledging him. They had essentially been blackballed by Roman and WWE for being violent savages and Solo provided this opportunity.

Yes, the main world titles used to be defended on and occasionally change hand on regular episodes of smackdown and raw. In 2019, Brock beat Kofi for the WWE Championship on an episode of Smackdown. Both Bobby Lashely and Big E won the WWE Championship on episodes of raw in 2021.
But a main title switching hands on TV hasn’t happened in years.
There was a time when it felt like a world title was being won on TV like every 6 months. I remember in 2011, Rey Mysterio and John Cena both won the WWE Championship on the same night in one episode of RAW.
But to be fair, Roman held both world title belts for like two years straight recently, so there haven’t been a lot of opportunities for the belts to change hands.
Seth at least defended the world title a couple times on Raw and NXT when he first won it last year.

34:20 here’s an idea. Randy loses to Gunther at the PLE, Kevin loses to Cody at the PLE. Randy loses clean, KO loses to a roll up or he has his foot under the rope . Randy asks Cody for a shot at his title and Cody declines since he beat Kevin via shenanigans he feels like he wants to prove he can beat Kevin the right way. So he tells Randy to get to the back of the line in the most polite way possible. The next week KO is seen talking to Randy backstage because KO was put in a #1 contenders match against someone random who can afford to take a loss and he’s wishing him luck but you can see the jealousy on Randy’s face. KO wins, Cody comes out to congratulate him and when they get backstage Randy gives Kevin a handshake and ignores Cody entirely. The next week Randy and Kevin are seen talking again, this time the audience can’t hear what’s being said. When Cody has his segment they come out and Cody takes an RKO and a pop up powerbomb officially turning KO heel but Randy is a tweener(I’ll explain why in my 2nd comment)
KO’s heel turn is easy to explain. He could bring back his prizefighter gimmick and say “look, when I won my first championship in this company I did it by turning against my best friend Sami Zayn, what the hell made Cody think I had the balls to nearly kill my best friend but not him? I just wanted the gold around his waist”. Randy’s turn is also easy to explain, Cody would be nothing without Randy(think back to the Legacy stable) and Cody had the audacity to deny Randy a title match. So they beat Cody down for weeks until he finally agrees to face both men in a triple threat at Survivor Series. It seems like KO and Randy are on the same page until Randy hits and RKO on Kevin after Kevin knocks out Cody to steal the championship right from under Kevin’s nose. Why? Because he’s the Viper and he can’t be trusted. Randy winning his 15th title is not only well deserved but it would also be a major ratings boost and add a bit of unpredictability since everybody thinks Cody has an easy path to WM41. Randy and KO could have a mini feud before Randy drops the belt back to Cody at the Royal Rumble and then the WWE can continue on with the Rock/Roman/Cody saga just in time for the road to WrestleMania
Here is a take and others can judge it's hotness. They should go back to the brand being more split.
Both brands should build to their own PLEs. Dual brand should be kept to Wrestlemania, Summerslam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, King and Queen of the Ring, and Money in the Bank.
Also guys like Randy Orton who is suposed to be a Smackdown guy shouldn't be able to just show up on Raw and challenge their champion with zero explanation. There should have to be a trade or some kind of deal made that explains why a Smackdown guy is suddenly on Raw challenging for the main title.
Go check out the NXT and NXT UK run of Imperium, Giovanni Vinci performed under his birth name Fabian Aichner and he can flat out go. He's a freak athlete and if they let him, he'll be a very flashy babyface. He's just been stuck in the role of Gunther's whipping boy for so long people have forgotten how good he is.
In today's WWE a world title change (at least for the two world titles and the IC title to a lesser extent) is a big deal. A change in the Undisputed title crowned the new face of the company in Cody, and a change in the Heavyweight title elevated Gunther as the top heel on Raw. If they lose, it should be a special event on one of the biggest shows of the year. I just can't see Cody lose his title outside of WrestleMania or SummerSlam. Same for Gunther and even Bron Breakker now.
I think the intention was that The Shield had no leader they were all equals; although, Rollins asserted he was the leader when he turned on The Shield; until Rollins said it, my mind assumed that Jon Moxley (Ambrose) was the leader because he did most of the promos for the group. Nothing was ever really clear about The Shield because there wasn't much storytelling, just beating people up and putting them through tables.

John Cena did a United States Championship open challenge every week on Raw. Lots of fun matches and you never knew if he was going to lose the title or not. Made the mid card title feel super important at the time since Cena was the top guy holding a 2nd tier belt.
I actually think Bayley’s new theme has the foundation to be a great theme. The first few seconds after the “ROLE MODEL” are perfect for a crowd chant but the beat drop messes it up

Hot Take: The Usos break up didn't do anything for Jimmy Uso. Jimmy Uso didn't do anything in The Bloodline ever since Jey Uso left. The Bloodline storyline helped Jey Uso and especially Sami Zayn to become bigger singles stars. Also Solo Sikoa is getting his chance now. But Jimmy Uso? He lost every match before his injury. He only got one singles feud and he lost at WrestleMania against Jey and to be honest, Jey didn't get anything from that match either. It was too short and not great at all.

Randy could absolutely turn megaheel again. ESPECIALLY if we end up getting a final Orton vs Cena match. I think they will betray Solo when the Rock comes back. I think Solo is just being used to build Rock's Bloodline. That is just a guess and I could be wrong but that could be cool.

Just wanna go against the grain on your take on Def Rebel just a bit, the catch phrase thing before each song just feels like a crutch to have an easily identifiable sound to get a crowd pop. I remember watching the latest royal rumble and it was interesting how the audience barely reacted to any themes because nothing was recognizable. I'm not so much in the camp that def rebel songs are bad they just don't seem to stand out like old songs used to. With that being said it's not like old themes didn't do a similar thing with Undertakers gong or Stone Colds glass shatter.

This issue echoes back to when he first won the IC title and he was sidelined in his own angles, and then they did it to him again with the WWE title. For someone who is widely well liked, and seemed to tick all the boxes for what you'd think VKM would want (other than height, I guess?) they sure repeatedly put the brakes on him super hard, and I don't know why they did him so dirty, and now they can't rectify it and this makes me sad.

Lashley had interaction with the New Day in *July* of that year, leading up to Kofi's match with him at HIAC. THAT was when Big E was haunting Heyman and Roman and dangling the briefcase over them. The only connection Big E had to the New Day on Raw and the Hurt Business (since they were on separate brands at that point) was Big E showing up on the Thunderdome screens to cheer them on during a Hurt Business vs. New Day match one time.
And yes, Lashley vs. Goldberg did happen at Summerslam, but he was still occupied with Roman at that point. They probably *could* have had Big E reference Hurt Business coming after New Day, but they really never did. And until that cash-in, Big E pretty much only teased a cash-in on Roman up until he called his shot.

I guess what I'm saying is that I'm fine with the story as it was told, up until Big E actually cashed in. I also like him cashing in on a Raw instead, because that gets to one of the complaints in this video--the feeling that big title changes don't happen on weekly shows often.
Like, I don't know if I agree that they "ruined" an idea, because they never put on the table or teased it, they just chose to do something else that was arguably not as good as that idea. Like for them to actually "ruin" it they'd have had to have teased that it would happen, which they didn't.

I wanna know what themes you didn’t like from older wrestlers. I have a hard time believing that you hated some of the legit popular ones, and I don’t think it’s just nostalgia. I do like some things from def rebel, but I feel like the majority of their work is just too generic. Jim johnston’s ratio of good themes to bad was just so much higher.
As long as you can acknowledge nostalgia plays a role, even though it might not just be nostalgia, we're probably on the same page.

But I'm talking about the Triple H Motorhead songs, or Kane's Finger Eleven theme, and a lot of the themes that were full songs instead of loops. I just think most of the legitimately popular themes are better written despite nostalgia.

Hate to ruin your naive enthusiasm, but it's not uncommon for there to be a lot of hype and effort put into a wrestler's return videos only to end up being a complete flop. Maybe it will trend in the other direction under Triple H, but when Vince was around these return videos would frequently go on for months only for the person to quickly return to their original character, disappear within a couple weeks of returning, or never appear.
I hope I am wrong about Vinci, it did eventually work out for LA Knight, Maxxine, and others, but the point is that the videos themselves don't mean much.
