I was surprised to find a Time Attack Saab at the Hurtwood Park retro car meet, which I genuinely thought might have been an Evo 7 upon initially inspecting it. It was just one of the several fantastic cars that turned up, and ultimately departed the show down its low-lit roads.

I absolutely love all my Saabs. 20 year old car on 200k miles pushing nearly 300bhp and being so comfortable that I've driven it for 27 hours (with toilet and fuel break only) is like no other cars
Love Saab's, especially a 9-5 Aero Estate and the prettiest of convertibles...the 9-3 Aero Vert

The B204 and 234 engines are bomb proof and you can make serious power on stock internals.

Truth. I have a 9000 Aero and it's a monster. Some people put out over 600hp out of the B234r.
My 9000 aero is running 512bhp on standard internals, has been doing so for 8yrs
Always wanted a 900 turbo 2 door saloon. Absolutely love the shape and they are quick.
Saab were absolute tanks. I remember my old 93 I got rear ended by a corsa around 40mph. Thinking the worse after I got out the car, I walk to the back and the only damage is a scuff on the back bumper, broken light and the rear panel pushed out of alignment. I look at the corsa, and it’s headlights were well and truly pretty much up to the steering wheel
A friend of mine out in the states hit a moose at 85mph in his NG93. Not only could he get out, but after the car was taken away he just walked home. Anyone who's worked on them a lot will tell you how well they were engineered in terms of safety.

@@M140i23 yup. Full grown moose walked out onto the road and was hit side on. It crushed the windscreen, bonnet, bumper and bent both A pillars, yet the roof and front doors barely moved. He literally pulled over, got out and sat waiting for recovery with absolutely 0 injuries. They're tough as shit.
I was hit in the rear of my 9-3 at 50-60mph. It was a convertible and even thought it was a mess at the back, the doors still opened, and the amazing anti-whiplash seats worked perfectly. My neighbour had a 9-5 with 250,000 on the clock, and on the original clutch! Shame they’re gone.

Saabs are absolute machines!! My dad has a 9-3 convertible viggen from 2001 he bought the car for 750 euros back in 2012 😂

Had a saab 9-3 carlsson 2.8 v6 xwd was a lovely lovely car and very capable aswell! Currently have a 9-5 aero now 2.3 turbo, love saabs
Wasn't the Carlsson edition the same as the Turbo X? With the differences being that the Carlson is white and the Turbo X black?
A quick walk around on that crazy green Mk2 would of been cool. Great vid,very good mix of cars at that show.

Turbo diesels are the worst thing on the road but trucks and motorbikes are highly welcome.

FWD (and pretend 4WD) is such a sad norm these days. I want old RWD turbo cars again. But instead, we can look forward to battery powered safety capsules.
