Super cool! It’s one of my absolute favorites, I’ve seen similar ones, but they usually have fewer drawers. That one was filled with dead stock watch crystals when I got it. Unfortunately I couldn’t find anyone to take them, and I tried for several months. I’m sure there’s someone out there who would have liked to have had them, but I ended up putting them in the recycling bin. 🫤
Thank you, as with everything I don’t have experience with every trade tools are used in. These boxes are almost always a mix of multiple industries so when I come across an odd too I’ve never seen before, I can only guess. Appreciate the info! ⚡️⚡️⚡️
The word you were looking for to describe the carpet may have been heinous? I think the socket wasn't a spark socket, per se. I think it was a chain saw socket (so spark plug, bar, and all). 15:00 fencing hammer. You try swinging that all day without a rubberized handle. 24:50: the parallel pliers (Sargent/Bernard) came with no side cutter, as well. I have maybe 50 variants, including punches, typewriter pliers, and so on. Each a marvel in itself. Very nice pick overall. Several of the tools are $5 in themselves
I have a fair number of parallel plied variants as well, a few I obtained recently from the estate of an optometrist and are like nothing I’ve seen before, very specialized and designed for a single task I’m sure.
A bunch of those tools look like they will clean up nicely. Definitely worth the $5 you spent on it I think. The carpet in it though...Yikes! :D The slightly scary part of that carpet is that I would have to think that the guy who first put those pieces in that box was just using up some of the scraps from when that "lovely" pattern was installed in his house. And now I have the imagined living room that it went into in my head. Oh, no!
I love it when I get a box that's worth more than I paid, but you have some great stuff, those Boker pliers are very good pliers.
looks like you got your 5 bucks worth. actually some pretty interesting stuff in there.
I have the same watch maker cabinet you have on the upper left corner of the video.

Sweet finds. Snap on, craftsman, that old klien tool was neat too.
Another fun video. Thanks for sharing.
The socket you tend to throw away is either a chain saw tool or a tub faucet wrench.
Got damn good buy five bucks must be worth thirty dollars worth or more
Just a guess but I think the "speculum" pliers may be for opening up a new battery terminal if it's tight for the post.

@@toolscrounge I inherited a similar tool but a little better quality. I could be wrong and tools can always have multiple uses. Take care bud.
$5.00?! What deal! Hope to see you at the Catskill Maker Camp in Oct.
I will be there! 🔥
Pretty fun box for 5 bones! There’s a couple winners in there.
Just the ball peens alone are worth $5 a piece!
You hit the jackpot
Not too shabby at all!

Complete with wood paneling and the macrame owls! 🤣
The thing you said you think is for spark plugs is for electric water heater elements.
Thank you, I’ve rarely done any plumbing beyond fixing a drip or replacing an outdoor hose nozzle. 😏
