Thanks! I had to check UA-cam to see what makes them different. I have tied rebar with a twisting tool but have not seen these used before. Good info! Thanks for watching!
The chain wrench second draw is for cutting cast iron pipe you score the pipe all the way around then tap on the score with the smallest ball pen hammer.
8:30 Earlier this year I spotted that wrench set at a yard sale. I went ahead and bought them and some others. Then I go digging in my life long tool box and find that I had some of these wrenches. Since that day....everywhere I turn I keep seeing these ignition wrenches show up..... Great video!
@@thetoolbandit tHanks....I'll keep that in mind. I spotted another find, today. I bought a $5 dollar bucket of stuff. 1/4" Husky ratchet...completes a set of all three sizes I'm sending to a friend. 1/4" Superratchet by Williams, two quarts of 10w40, a large container of brake fluid, a lock cylinder popping out tool, porcelain cat, four keyed cylinders, padlock, hexbit set. That is the kind of luck I have. Doesn't happen every day but I seem to stumble upon good yard sales. (Down sizing everything due to age...people retired etc etc etc).
The yellow handle reamer from xcelite was made in my hometown of orchard park ny home of thy buffalo bills and they were the first tool co to use plastic handles 👍🏽
2:50 the blue griped tool is a nibbler for cutting holes in sheetmetal probly ductwork but ive used then in cars they are a really slow method to cut metal but if thats all that fits the space then that is what you have to use. Clamps bottom draw, they are made to strighten 2x4"
The Barcalo tack puller is better than any of the cheap junk you can buy today. I use it as a small pry bar as well. That Caborundom sharpening stone is pretty useful. I have one which I use to touch up knives and utility blades when I don’t feel like changing the blade. Nice haul!
That 1/4" drive set ive got, i paid 8.88 i belive for it sears used to do a craftsman tool sale eairly Saturday mornings and you could buy sets cheap. You had to get to the store earlier or they would be sold out. That was mid 90s. I got a full set of 3 rachetts 1/4 1/2 and 3/8 3 extensions and a full set of sockets for each driver for 29 bucks in the 1970 all made in Japan i still have them and the handels wrer more like snap on round they do not hurt your hand like the flat ones do where they dig into the back of your knuckels.
You made out like a “Bandit “on this box, yeah, the pun was intended! Lotsa good stuff, clearly the previous owner wasn’t into junk tools. The Indestro socket set is badass!
I've never used them, but I will have to make sure to give them a go. I always wanted the big setback in the day, never wanted to pay for them!! Thanks for watching!
Quick Tip: If you have a smart phone you can use a few different apps to identify almost anything. I use an app called Google Lens. All you do is point your camera at the object.
This was a "tag sale" but I thought was a pretty good deal. I like to pick up the old boxes, never enough storage! I do hit the estate auctions as well, love them! Thanks for watching!
KAL (still kinda in existence as ProAmerica) was imported from all over Asia. I have KAL 8” adjustables from Korea, Japan, AND Taiwan! Those yellow/black Stanleys are the world’s worst screwdrivers. Barcalo tack puller is a serious keeper!
those pliers with the blue handle that says 18 ga on the handle, 2nd drawer up from the bottom, those are nibblers, they are used for cutting sheetmetal
I will have to try them. Looking at it, doesn't seem like you would be able to go very far into the sheet (too wide) I will try them out, I have a few different sheets laying around. Thanks for watching!
Thats a bunch of crappy flat handel craftsman rachettets, the Blue Point tape is automatic pull back in. And Blue Point is a snap on brand. Fiy. Thats a pretty old tape mesure.
just curious why are you so obsessed with brand name an part number ??? and for you to have the name "tool bandit" you sure dont know what lots of those tool are....i have 3 big boxes about a 50 yr collection with an insurance value of 65,000 bucks, i got some snap-on, mac, and craftsmen toolls that arent worth a crap, but yet i got some really cheap stff that are amazing considering what i paid for them so name brand dont mean good always. my tools made my living for a long time cheap ones included. dont bag on tools because they dont have a brand name on them....
I'm not obsessed with anything other than tools. I think I can look through any box and know 95%+ of what the tools are for, no one knows them all. Thanks for watching!
Estate sales... If theirs one thing to go off of on what your states about.... Man I hate my Californian estate sales... nothing but shi my wife would buy.
Seriously good deal on this kit ! All quality tools, and CLEAN ! !
I agree! Thanks for watching!
Channellocks with crook on one handle are used by iron workers for tying re-bar. They are easier to hang on to.
Thanks! I had to check UA-cam to see what makes them different. I have tied rebar with a twisting tool but have not seen these used before. Good info! Thanks for watching!
That box belonged to someone who did some HVAC work along with sure
Very nice set of tools for the money.
Thanks! Hard to find good deals these days but fun looking! Thank you for watching!

Fantastic job, fantastic video. tHanks for posting it!
Great haul, almost everything made in the USA too.
Yep! Only a couple tools not made in the USA. Seems like people bought better tools a few decades ago. Thanks for watching!
The mystery Craftsman tool is a single spindle edge clamp. It attaches to a bar clamp to apply pressure at a right angle to the bar clamp.
Thanks for the info! Thanks for watching!
I believe those Stanley screwdrivers are Adam Savage’s favorite type of screwdriver.
I think I remember him saying that! I like the look, not sure about the quality. Thanks for watching!

Those three wrenches you had their that are cut open in the middle are line wrenches for taking off brake lines any kind of line
Thanks! I mentioned they were flare nut/tubing wrenches. Thanks for watching!

You came out like a bandit!
LOL! Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. This was one of those times. Thanks for watching!

Sears was like the harbor freight of its day
I spent many hours at Sears just looking! Thanks for watching!
The old craftsman punch set are the best ones they ever made
I've never used them, but I will have to make sure to give them a go. I always wanted the big setback in the day, never wanted to pay for them!! Thanks for watching!
Decent pick up - very decent
Thank you! It was a good hit. I don't find enough of these around me. Maybe I need to look harder. Thank you for watching!
U did good on that buy
Thanks! Always nice to have a extra box. Thanks for watching!
Those pear head ratchets were made by Easco and a Snap On 3/8 set 1/4 to 7/8 sells for over $300
Thanks for the info! It is funny how Craftsman is more popular than Easco but Easco is the one making the tools. Thanks for watching!
You have two Craftsman clamps that are on the same side. I have two that clamp towards each other.
So I'm not crazy! One from each direction makes perfect sense! Thanks for watching!
Nice Haul!
Thanks for watching!

Sheet metal nibbles.
How old is the toolbox? I bought one off of Maketplace FB.
Honestly I did not check the date. It is a bit buried in the garage right now but I would say mid 80's to late 90's. I will take a look in the Spring!
Carborundum for hand dressing grinding wheel
Thank you!
The matco tape says 10 foot right on the label
When looking through a camera you don't always pick up small details.
Lisle bits are warrented

Yes! It is crazy how they change by location. Usually the best tools are from blue collar middle class neighborhoods. Thank you for watching!
