Nice! Making one from a 30gal. Plastic. I've been using a custom air gun with 2" PVC reservoir works great! Leas air used but I do mostly small stuff. Thanks for the Video. Thems are still some Cash at $350.... No doubt well worth once you start to use one.
Thats cool and well worth the investment!!!
honestly for the $$$ you cannot beat it. a blaster of this caliber elsewhere will be 1500$, cant believe it took me this long to get one
Man I’m glad you put this video out there! I am was almost ready to spend the money at harbor freight and try and modify it not to leak. 🙄 I’ll be ordering this!
Great review, thank you!
My pleasure!
mine is about ten years old now --I would recommend not ordering the casters and installing larger ones to raise it up
That's a great review, exactly what I've been looking for. Did you do anything special with the shop vac, or just hook it up with regular filer inside?
Also, have you tried different medium types?
SOLD!
this could start a small business for me!
small investment to make a good side job
Is this suitable for blasting example old Bmw airhead cylinders and headers? And what media would be best for aluminum parts?
Having one would be cool but I am not ready for one yet.
i didnt think i was ready either, but now im in love hahaha
Where’d you get the sandblaster and I want to buy stuff only in the US how much was it and God bless nice video
All the details are linked in the description www.barrelblaster.com
where did you find the hopper ?
I just came across your video, what’s the dimensions of the door opening compared to a cheap harbor freight cabinet blaster, I’m really serious about getting one cause I restore cast iron furniture, and I’m wanting a sand blaster vs using soft wire wheel stripping. Thx for the video, I’m trying to compare prices cause with harbor freight cabinets, everybody is saying they need upgraded to work right, I want something I can unbox and immediately start using, do you still have yours, I’m just scared the opening in the end of the barrel might be to small, your thoughts please!
The door opening is approximately 23 inches in diameter.
What size compressor did you use?
In order to operate The Barrel Blaster® continuously, you need a 5 horsepower or larger compressor. You can get by with a smaller compressor if you’re utilizing it for intermittent use.
Vapor Blast is the Way.
Agree, but they are 10,000$
@The BMW Guy They have one on line not that t big and its ready to go. 1 k they are if I remember corectly. Myself am thinking of getting one.
Using sand on Aliuminium! I thought it was supposed to beads on Aluminium, sand far to harsh.
Whats the longest part you can put in there?
check out the barrel blaster site. ive done an engine block before haha
What CFM is your compressor?
I’ve since upgraded to a 7.5hp 25 CFM compressor. The one in the video is a 5CFM, I can hook you up with a nice compressor if you want. E-mail thebmwguy126@gmail.com
More like a 30 gallon drum, not 55 gallon
It’s 55 gallons. I promise
