For the previous 2 weeks there was heavy rain. The wind from the great storm pulled those trees out of the ground. That's why over a million trees were lost 😢
Almost me to ...Tiles smashing off the roof woke me when I was 5 years old. My old man went out to investigate. We were far away though in Staffordshire. The weak part of the storm. If it fetched the roof off brick and mortar houses it must have been epic. I just don't understand as in the Scottish Highlands we get far higher winds sustained. 2012 was a bad year. Myself and my neighbour stood outside at night because we knew the roof was going on our houses , 114mph was recorded before my weather station was ripped away in the wind.
We have the same weather forecasters here in Australia. The bureau of meteorology forecast a "above average" hot and dry summer starting in December of 2023 until late Feb, we had record breaking floods and low temperatures instead. The must have the same university degree of stupidity.

That's because they have global warming and climate change on their minds, so they always claim hot and dry.
