Holy shit, its so crazy to think that Miranda is actually a REAL LIFE person out there... Just with blonde hair, && without the biotic abilities... And not working for Cerberus LMFAO!!!
Kyle Aaron (SPOILER) She leaves cerberus in mass effect 2 when the illusive man tells shep to keep the collector base when u launch the suicide mission
Love that they let her keep her real accent for ME2. It makes sense to have people of different nationalities and accents in the ME universe. Earth is a big place.
Yvonne is high among the talents I admire in the entertainment world. Mass Effect 2 is a masterpiece. I read somewhere that Mass Effect trilogy is so good that Smithsonian has a copy of it.
GOSH DAMMIT! Everytime I hear her voice I keep hearing in my head, "There's alot of work to do Shepard, maybe another time..." LOL If she had black hair, then she would have looked exactly like miranda
@@_grigoryta im fairly certain this is not the case but could also shave the eyebrows and use make up to "paint them on" quite common my wife does it since it is a lot faster and easier to manage
@ragforces I believe it's like that for any non-native English speaker, especially after a while living abroad. One adopts the local accent after some time, but there are still times when one doesn't know how to pronounce a certain word, and that's when the "classic" knowledge kicks in. Since most foreign English classes teach the British pronunciation, that one word gets pronounced the British way, which may be inadequate at the time.
Apparently a new element awesomness can be added to Yvonne's already stellar bio, she is now the 8th wonder of planet earth. Yvonne Strahovski is one of earth's wonders!
being a girl I feel a big disappointment: I wanted that in the game, by choosing femshep, a romantic relationship could develop with Miranda. Lesbians: we exist too -.-
I enjoyed being rejected by lesian characters, and by samara. I think it makes them more real, them having an orientation of their own, and not being there to serve the player. I usually play manshep, and I always feel like I'm missing out on Aria, which is an awesome character
It makes so much sense now. No animation designer would ever purposefully give the "hot chick" buck teeth, no matter how adorable, unless they were using the likeness of the voice actress.
@Pseudologic I don't know exactly if by real actors you meant good actors or not voice actors, but Martin Sheen was not the first actor (TV and film actor) in Mass Effect. It was Seth Green, he voices Joker.
@moviebufff I guess the accent is for the product release. If you have a look at her interviews for" I love you too", her aussie accent has not changed a bit.
@GibbsGibberstein It's polish accent "Born in Australia to Polish immigrant parents.", it's one of the reasons Miranda is my favorite character right after Legion.
@whipthedog i don't think she was purposely putting it on, i think it was something habitual because of chuck, because most interviews i've seen of her, she speaks with her native dialect; i think her accent just might be getting lighter
@MaddBadgerr Actually, if you get the Kasumi DLC, she tells you she knows Shepard and Miranda did it there. Don't know how she knows, saw it on internet =P
Thumbs up for Yvonne. The gaming world keeps pulling in new actresses (and models), and it's a great way of gaining reckognition. I hope we get to see more games made into films made with the same level of quality (or better) as f.ex. Tomb Raider and Resident Evil.
@CommanderMattShepard Tali saw nothing. Not only is Tali optional, ergo migth not even set foot inside the Normandy SR2 at all, but Miranda also cleared the Engine Room beforehand.
i thought Yvonne and Miranda had the same face at first. but then i later found out Miranda was voiced by and modeled after Yvonne. Same was said about the illusive man and his voice actor.
"Miranda looks like Michael Jackson, ugly, etc" She looks just like Yvonne, the problem is that in game they gave her perfect facial symmetry, which literally throws off your brain, as nobody is supposed to, or has, perfect facial symmetry in real life. It normally isn't a problem to have that for characters in game, but with high cheekbones and symmetric eye makeup, it comes out a lot.
@Zedonius666 Because, when they gave her the Cerberus uniform, it really suited a brunette look better and so they changed her to that, instead. I think it makes her look better, regardless.
@robikifin Actually blonde is her natural color. They changed her hair to black in the game because they wanted to give her character a more "femme fatale" look.
@the1stcritic Well, she is of Polish descent, speaks it fluently, though born and raised in Australia, now has a lead role in an American TV series, in which she has an American accent... I think I'll let this one slide... remember! If all else fails, just smile and wave!
@billyhernaez They facially scanned Yvonne to be the character model for Miranda. They did the same in the first one with the actress that voices Liara.
Maybe the model that the Sheppard character was based on sshould do a live action commercial and have the guy who did his voice do the VO on it. Then have Yvonne come in in brunnete! would be sweet to see that!
@CommanderMattShepard 1-The crew had already been kidnapped by this point. 2-I'm sure Shepard closed the doors, he is the commander afterall. And 3- it's still a better idea to do it on the Engine Room and risk a squadmate stumbling upon them than do it anywhere else on the ship and broadcast it to the Illusive Man in High Definition.
@Calvin0135 That's probably because Miranda is so perfectly symmetrical that she actually comes off as being creepy instead. In a way, it's a subtle reminder that Miranda really is "flawless" with all the weirdness that comes with it.
Well I think it's due to the interviewer. For some person who picked up another accent, he/she will switch to the learned accent when the conversational partner shares the same accent. It's somehow subconsciously done, I did the same thing and did not realise it until my friend pointed it out to me that I did not speak in my native accent when I'm talking to a foreigner.
Its funny... I recognized her from the Dexter... I saw the actress and thought that i saw her somewere... And i never did actually. All i saw is her "avatar" - her digital self as Miranda ..:) and i recognized a live person by its digital scan.
You know what would be awesome? an episode of chuck where it shows chuck playing mass effect 2, either romancing miranda or meeting kal reegar.. then he notices that they sound like casey and sarah, would be awesome ^^
@gdh6200 well, kasumi the thief (who might also be a spy) knows everything that goes on on the ship, so thats an exception. shes like a japanese miss marple only less old
@TheMustangForce Actually no, Season 5 has already started and except for episode 1, their all really good so far. It's not all about the Intersect now. In fact, after episode 4, it's gone completely, and Chuck is still awesome and remembers his moves.
@Khimeran77 I guess it leaves them room to either cast anyone they want in the role or to go for someone who resembles Shepard's default appearance! I've seen a lot of comments from people saying it should be Matthew Fox from Lost playing Shepard haha :)
I think it's that currently the whole process of face-scanning tech (and the conversion to lower-poly models) is just highly flawed at this point in time. Faces modeled from scratch (like Jack's) tend to look better.
@whipthedog Ditto what moviebufff said. Your accent can change if you spend enough time around people with the same accent. I know an American (southern) who moved to Australia and they now have a bit of an Aussie accent. Heck, there was a point where I watched too much of a Canadian show in the course of a couple weeks and I started to say certain words like they do. Definitely not intentional. I've lost it since then, though...
Miranda I didn't want to leave you at the ship but the giant reaper was about to kill us all. Please don't be sad or bitter. Just focus on the good times we had - Love Shep. PS: I survived the whole saving the galaxy thing and I'm back on planet earth. Call me.
The very first moment in ME2, I was like:"Hey, I do know that face and voice from somewhere" ... *few secs later checking wiki* "asduiashdashduio zomfg, I was right" :D
yeah, I say that Miranda is like an older sister cause she kind've acts like one with how she advises you about every move you make. lol. i have three older sisters so the way she acts just makes her seem like another one. im pretty much obsessed with the series.

A lot voice actors are also face models of the game characters in this game, they are so hot!

Ardeshir Javid Dude... I beat all 3 games months ago LMAO!!!
so? i need to know this because?
I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favourite voice-actress on the Citadel.
Funny thing is Miranda was suppose to have blond hair. But due to design issues. They changed it to the current hair color she has now.
Can't say I can blame them. Having Miranda have the blonde hair of her actress would'nt have worked, not for her theme and personality I'd say.
Hmmm... trying to picture it and I can’t decide which suits her the most. She’s beautiful either way
I like black better.
Love that they let her keep her real accent for ME2. It makes sense to have people of different nationalities and accents in the ME universe. Earth is a big place.
so astonished that Miranda's likeness was based on a real person. Then through mass effect I found out about Chuck. I love you Yvonne!
Yvonne is great!

I appreciate that even though she might not be into gaming she completely understands how the game works and her characters role in it.
I had to go with Miranda
Fucking hell I've only just realised that she was Miranda after seeing her in Dexter! It's obvious now
I prefer her with black hair as in the game. Anyway, she's a great actress and i love Miranda (and Cerberus).
She should have been yennefer in the new witcher 3 tv series
She's too old by now. This video is from 2010.
@@thomasvleminckx dont think shes that old, plus yennefer is 70-71 years old in the tv show

Hannah McKay is Miranda

She could cosplay and it would dead set win haha
She could, but she's not as well ... proportioned ... as Miranda is!

she looks alot like her
She is the voice and face of Miranda

Chuck is my Favourite TV show and Mass Effect is one of my favourite games of all time. Amazing how they piece together
I love how Yvonne tries to evade the relationship question and how she kind of feels embarrased of the question
Talented performer and a beautiful woman. Love Chuck, love Mass Effect and I hope she shows up in Mass Effect 3
She is my most favourite actor in the world :D xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Now i have to see Chuck, i hope i don't regret it!
thanks for watching - yes she's great
Perfect from head to toe.
Chuck and mass effect = awesomeness
She's so cute, oh my gosh :D
Both her parents are Polish. No wonder she is beautiful.
she is miranda, the game is based on her face..
SHe shines in mass effect 2 and also shines in chuck. Love her
I wish I knew martial ahts.
I knew she looked like Yvonne. I watch a LOT of Chuck and I immediately recognized her.
Why did they change her hair colour for the game?
gentleman prefer blondes?
The developers felt that Miranda fit in better with black hair there is a mod for the game that makes her a blonde.
Yeah, I like her blonde
