I like how they have the two actors in the both together, to actually enhance the emotions of the actors who otherwise would just be in a sound booth by themselves. That was a really smart move by the voice director.
Martin Sheen's Illusive Man was a thing of beauty. I hated that bastard the whole game, but even as I hated him, I could understand why he thought he was in the right. And at the end, I actually felt sorry for him. Well done, sir.
Just finished the game 10 minutes ago and...... damn I got really glued to it, i lived the game, i felt Shepard being part of me dont know how to explain better, the last time a game made me just feelings was in 2001 in Final Fantasy VIII, but this one was more realistic such as was the graphics and scenes, I miss the game already, and I cant play it without being Shepard, sorry to those who not think the same.
I was that way for ME1 and ME2. The first one intrigued me and the second won me over with character development despite not advancing the overall plot. The poor end of ME3 killed it all until recently.
Oh cmonn man, okay the ending was mediocre at first. But I am really amazed by the fact how much hatred people show on ME3 just because of the ending. Other than that, I can surely that ME3 was the best game in the series - fluid gunplay, always intense environments, emotional moments, awesome storytelling. Only the ending was mediocre but they patched it for free and the extended cut was satisfying. Man this fan base is messed up
The ending was abysmal. Gameplay wise, maybe ME3 was the best but the story was terrible. The EC fixed some things but didn't save it and even some of the fixes were problematic in themselves, like the silly evac scene. Very nice but doesn't fit at all.
Am I the only one that thinks Diana Allers is shit and only got put in because her voice actress (and I use that term loosely) knew someone at Bioware or the casting people, which deprived us of having Emily Wong instead?
And the worse part about it is that Bioware wasted lots of time and resource just to make her useless character and even board the Normandy for some reason.
Excited for Liara's bigger role in the game. Liara was my favorite character from the first game. There was not enough of her in ME2, and the Shadow Broker DLC made me want to see more from her. Ali Hillis gives Liara such a compelling voice. It's so comforting and innocent yet so determined and commanding. It's intriguing.
Mass effect 3 is about 10 years old! man thats wild. I was an aircrewman in the navy when it came out and I remember getting chewed out by a chief for wearing the N7 patch that came with the game on my flightsuit to work.
Freddy Prince actually did a great job....when he wasn't trying to speak Spanish. Those scenes were extremely cringe worthy. Helpful tip. Actually bring in a Hispanic actor to play a Hispanic role. Liked James, but could've done without the whole "Latino" thing.
@Tz1One You mean if Shep dies at the end of ME2? AFAIK, BioWare said you can't import saves where Shep died. You can either play without importing or import a save where he/she survived the suicide mission.
Wow, i can't believe they got martin sheen to even be apart of mass effect he is such an amazing voice actor, a legend at that, and it makes me wonder has he ever played mass effect or just watched clips to see his amazing work with the illusive man? I hope they figure some way to bring martin sheen back for mass effect 4.
I felt her character adds depth to procedings. Making you reflect on certain events through interviews, and providing social commentary on journalism at a time of war, how it's important to moral but could easily destroy it. It even has the mini conversation decision over whether it's right to cover stories that don't paint the military in a very good light.
It's comes with pre-orders or the deluxe edition (don't remember which). It acts as a pet and just roams in the room where the shuttle and James Vega is.
Very true, you begin to feel feelings for you crew and characters like fear (When you find out that you may fail the galaxy), Care (Caring for you crew and feeling bonds to them) and other feelings. I like this and thats why I play it, its so emotion connecting
That's actually very interesting comparison. It makes me wonder though how number of “dialogue tree paths” would compare. ME3 had (or at least felt to have) much more cut-scenes with dialogues which player could not influence at all.
It's a robot dog you get as a bonus for the Collector's Edition. As far as I know, it really doesn't do anything aside from walk around the Shuttle Bay, but it's neat that it shows up in that cutscene.
@Xyrgra Well The Reapers are doing this as co-exsistance,well we are Organic beings + Space-farring civilizations. The Reapers failed at creating a Human Reaper,it was meant to preserve the essences of humanity,if the collectors succeded in completion of the Human reaper,. Seeing how Shepard thwart their Plans, Killing Sovereign,Destroying Collector base and Delaying the Reaper's arrival by crashing a Batarian colony. So,Reapers would logoically target Earth for Shepard?
I simply must play this because of Keith David, he made me stay throughout the whole Mass Effect 1 & 2 games, i love how he performes his role so, damn, GOOD!
I think James Vega is gonna be a pretty sick characer to be honest..Hoping he has a cool backround story, will probably take him on missions alot depending on his class
@NARATO0 Which is a wonderful thing. Canadian voice actors are wonderful. Especially Albertan ones. Even got to meet and work with a couple of the people who worked on the voice recording and editing for the Mass Effect games.
Can we get some commentary from these people as to what they think of the ending? And why they didn't act on the Renegade-Interrupt when Bioware told them their role in the "ending"?
Keith David video game debuts Admiral Anderson from ME 1, ME2, and ME3 Sgt Foley from Modern Warfare 2 Julius from Saints Row 1 and 2 Arbiter from halo 2 etc.
I laughed at the part where Joker and EDI were talking in-game, and Seth Green and Tricia Halfer were standing right beside each other in real life, just like in-game.
I love this series and i think alot like jessica chobot but its more like im playing because i have this overwhelming feeling like its me doing everything that i really am shepherd and no other game has ever given me the ability to really be able to make my owe choices and fight how i want to so thats why this is hands down my favourite game
My only beef with her was her character I don't know of her personally never heard of her before they announced her as Diana Allers. My beef is that I and I think many others believe that Emily Wong was replaced by Diana. Emily was a very well received and liked NPC from Mass Effect 1 who was also a reporter who I thought would be back in ME 3 but instead Bioware announced that she committed suicide during the Reaper invasion via twitter.
@Michoss9 not true, Shepard lives or doesnt in some, earth is destroyed or isn't in some and theres a special ending for a second play through on the same file
@BryceTE The only ending in which shepard can 'survive' is the one where 7.11 billion metric tons space station blows up right above the planet, therefore, Shepard is dead and earth is destroyd. Every single mass relay in the galaxy is destroyed, therefore spacefaring civilisations no longer exist. Joker always runs away for no reason, and crashes on a forest planet Godess knows where (hint: there are no forest planets in solar system, therefore it was behind relay, so we can't find him). Yeah
I just love Edi's voice. (No, im not traynor)
She also plays Lucifer's mum in the Lucifer TV series. 👌🏼
I love Tricia she as a sexy voice and she is beautiful and sexy!!
lol
Mass Effect is the game that proved that "video games" actually ARE art.
Totally agree with you, the trilogy is a master piece!!
Bioshock 1 aswell
True that
Keith David: Admiral Anderson and the Arbiter. You don't get more badass than that!
Well, except for Jennifer Hale!!!
Martin Sheen and his "Stay tuned... I'm not done yet"... Hint by an offchance?
That's exactly what i was thinking~! :L
Nor is Shepard when he wakes up in the London rubble. I truly hope they don't give up on that.
I wonder how Joker would have turned out if Seth Green used his Chris Griffin voice.
seth green martin sheen best fucking thing ever to happen to game voice overs
Seth and the character he plays will forever be the funniest character in mass effect
To me
Agreed. Joker is hilarious!
But what a tool he was! Now I have to spend all day calculating pi because he plugged in the overlord...
I like how they have the two actors in the both together, to actually enhance the emotions of the actors who otherwise would just be in a sound booth by themselves. That was a really smart move by the voice director.
If you ask me Chobot should've been taken out and they should've given the extra screen time to Yvonne Strahovski
Where's Garrus :(
Ignacio Coronel
He was off busy doing some calibrations during the time of filming.
JK Garrus voices Garrus like Shepard voices Commander.
Martin Sheen's Illusive Man was a thing of beauty. I hated that bastard the whole game, but even as I hated him, I could understand why he thought he was in the right. And at the end, I actually felt sorry for him.
Well done, sir.
Love all of you, voicers!
This line up is so epic! Some of the best voice actors in the industry.
Спасибо вам за величайшую трилогию в истории.. помним, навсегда.

@Ivan Exell It is objectively bad.
Best explanation out there; ua-cam.com/video/7MlatxLP-xs/v-deo.html

Emily Wong should have totally been a part of our crew, I feel robbed now. 😢
Excited for Liara's bigger role in the game. Liara was my favorite character from the first game.

"MARS" MASS EFFECT 3 Soundtrack
Seth Green is so fucking short lol
Round of applause for Martin Sheen, was absolutely brilliant in ME2+3. Keith David and Jennifer Hale bring it too.
Just beat this and the trilogy. Man that ending was whack but these games are amazing!
Freddy Prince actually did a great job....when he wasn't trying to speak Spanish. Those scenes were extremely cringe worthy. Helpful tip. Actually bring in a Hispanic actor to play a Hispanic role. Liked James, but could've done without the whole "Latino" thing.
SkankHunt42 he's half Puerto Rican...
Joshua Gonzalez Wow half Puerto Rican huh? Bioware really went above and beyond on this one.
Dude....Mass Effect has been my favorite series for years, and I had NO idea Vega was voiced by Freddie Prinze jr. Mind blown. 😮
The song is called "Mars" its off of the ME3 soundtrack, it plays throughout the entire video
While Vega and Shepard were fighting in the Enginering Deck, did anyone notice a Mech Dog?
I got chills when Martin Sheen said he's not done yet.
Martins voice, just says " Im the boss NOW DO AS I COMMAND!" Epic voice
Freddie Prinze Jr. all the way! Love to "hear" him on screen too!
@Tz1One
You mean if Shep dies at the end of ME2? AFAIK, BioWare said you can't import saves where Shep died. You can either play without importing or import a save where he/she survived the suicide mission.
woaah EDI~~ Its not very often a voice actor's voice matches their looks.
Wow, i can't believe they got martin sheen to even be apart of mass effect he is such an amazing voice actor, a legend at that, and it makes me wonder has he ever played mass effect or just watched clips to see his amazing work with the illusive man? I notice the "sexy robot body" part of Joker's line at 1:47 was removed. Subtle, very subtle.
@wassap124 It actually does not matter, the reaper voice is heavily modified with professional sound editing software
I simply must play this because of Keith David, he made me stay throughout the whole Mass Effect 1 & 2 games, i love how he performes his role so, damn, GOOD!
When Keith David says millions, and the way his mouth moves, it sends a shiver down my spine.
You have to play the first two..they are both AMAZING and I can not WAIT until Tuesday!!!
Yes I am addicted..lol
"Stay Tuned, hehe.. I'm not done yet" i've got a feeling we'll see him in Mass effect foooour
if you bought the collector's editions of me3; you get the mech dog and/or n7 hoodie
Yes, her name is Tricia Helfer, she is also very well known as Number 6 from the redone Battlestar Galactica
I think James Vega is gonna be a pretty sick characer to be honest..Hoping he has a cool backround story, will probably take him on missions alot depending on his class
Just imagine all of these guys hanging out somewhere :D
Elusive Man: '' Stay tuned, I'm not done yet. *small laugh* '' C.S.: '' *pulls out Carnifex Hand canon* Oh yes.. Yes you are... *fires* ''
it''s 6 morning ...saw your comment...and i burst in tears cause of massive laughing....!!!
Yeeaahh Im getting this Tomorrow, Cant wait!
Oh yes you are done mr. Illusive Man. Kinda died there in the end didn'tcha
Nice to know Mass Effect 4 is a thing now~!
@VindiCareBear0123 for these videos, they usually only get the "name" people on, actors that people might recognize in tv or movies
Keith David sounds like the shipmaster from Halo 3. Is that the same guy? I love when he shouts "MILLIONS!" Epic voice he has.
@NARATO0 Which is a wonderful thing. Canadian voice actors are wonderful. Especially Albertan ones. Even got to meet and work with a couple of the people who worked on the voice recording and editing for the Mass Effect games.
Dang, I wanted to see Tali. That's the best voice-over in de whole ME-trilogy, imo.
Mark Meer. You'll notice a video about his role in this in the related videos to my right.
Can we get some commentary from these people as to what they think of the ending? And why they didn't act on the Renegade-Interrupt when Bioware told them their role in the "ending"?
Keith David sounds just like Anderson even if he is not recording! xD
Keith David video game debuts
Admiral Anderson from ME 1, ME2, and ME3
Sgt Foley from Modern Warfare 2
Julius from Saints Row 1 and 2
Arbiter from halo 2
etc.
I miss the days when I was excited about this game. Then the ending ripped out my heart and stomped on it.
Martin: Stay tuned. I'm not done yet
Seems to me he'll be back to record lines for the proper ending. Nice one!
For all those wondering, the voice talent for Male Shepard is Mark Meer. Don't believe me you can google it.
did somebody notice a mech dog walking 0:59 ??
which dlc?? is that dog gonna keep following shepard?
I laughed at the part where Joker and EDI were talking in-game, and Seth Green and Tricia Halfer were standing right beside each other in real life, just like in-game.
That's KEI-9, a FENRIS mech you can have as a pet of sorts if you got the N7 Collector's Edition.
"Stay tuned. I am not done yet..hahaha" - Illusive man went completely loco.
Keith David and Martin Sheen have awesome voices
I love this series and i think alot like jessica chobot but its more like im playing because i have this overwhelming feeling like its me doing everything that i really am shepherd and no other game has ever given me the ability to really be able to make my owe choices and fight how i want to so thats why this is hands down my favourite game
@Tz1One if your shepard dies in ME2 then you can not import to ME3. You will have to play with the preset shepard in me 3.
@Acorrani robot dog you get with collector's edition
My only beef with her was her character I don't know of her personally never heard of her before they announced her as Diana Allers. My beef is that I and I think many others believe that Emily Wong was replaced by Diana. @Thatguyyouknow257 that because this was filmed in LA male Shep (mark meer) lives in Canada and did a the voice in canada
The Illusive Man! That guy looks and sounds like a total badass!
awesome voice cast i cant wait to play me3! martin sheen does a fantastic job as the illusive man.
That's definitely the best explanation I've heard for it ever - I'm serious.
So glad they got Seth Green for joker again, really holds the crew together =)
@jahcoba no, Hudson said that he is prouf of the ending and theyre not going to change it.
@Michoss9 not true, Shepard lives or doesnt in some, earth is destroyed or isn't in some and theres a special ending for a second play through on the same file
Planescape Torment, Fallout 1 and 2, KotOR, Witcher 1 and 2. I've probably forgotten about something worth mentioning.
"Probing Uranus"
man keith david is fucking everwhere movies and video games are really going to miss him when he dies
Now wait a sec: Is that a FENRIS mech in the background at 00:57? On board the Normandy?!?! Why did they cut that?!
A pet mech would've been awesome!
I just knew there was going to be a debate about the endings when I clicked on this video...
"My name is Keith Davies, and women swoon at my voice alone"
Oh my gawd. I'm not sure whether I like older Freddie as much as I crushed on young Freddie in my teens.
Jesus Christ! waiting for this came is like waiting for Christmas!!!
I loved how that seemed for a second:
Liara: Illusive Man!
TIM: ..I'm Martin Sheen.
thers another hint to a mass effect 4 game, wen martin shane says " Stay tuned, im not done yet"
I like how most of the characters in the game look like the actors.
Freddie prinze jr was laughing about the ending and how choices matter.
martin and keith adams did superb job , just incredible !
He was shopping at his favorite store on the citadel.
@BryceTE

Yeah
i'm commander shepard and i lived in Caldeum with uncle Deckard for a bit before moving to New Tristram.... oh wait...
Keith David and Martin Sheen are my fav voice actors in the game
Have anyone else notice that in all the interviews with the characters of the mass effect series the voice of sheperad is never in them.
The moment you realize EDIs voice actor is the same as Kerrigans from StarCraft 2.
Wish there will be also Mark Meer, man give voice to almost half of this game.
