I have a lot of love for this game but it’s almost equaled by hate by how unbalanced it is. I purposely don’t run full meta cheese builds as survivor because I know how easy it is to beat the Raider.
They tried making Raider Queue twice. Both times it failed for the same reason - *everyone* abandoned playing Survivor entirely, to the point where it took over three hours to get into a game. And this isn't on just one platform, all of them suffered it. Crossplay won't fix it, and hasn't fixed it, and the moment Raider Queue comes back, it's going to happen again. I would love a Raider-only Queue to exist, but it can't exist in this playerbase. That's just the reality of it. You're not wrong about the whole 'party game' discussion. The problem with this game is that they tried to esportsify this game, adding ranked mode and bringing in eSports players to try and advertise it in their season previews, and removing the ability to play as a Raider in a lobby of friends. That last change, which occurred at the beginning of Season 2, ruined the game for me. I wanted something like TF2, where I can goof around and have fun with my friends instead of dealing with sweaty lobbies or dumb pubbies, but I wanted to play Raider, and they wanted me as their Raider instead of some random joe off the street. The game's too fundamentally unbalanced right now to be anything other than a party game, yet they want to make an esport out of it. You can't have it both ways - either fix your shit, rebalance things, and stop powercreeping both sides so that the meta becomes consistent and understandable, or get rid of ranked, get rid of the inability to have a Raider in your room, and let people play entirely with their friends. One or the other, and TBF, I hope for the latter.
Ayo! Appreciate your post, thanks for being here! I mean if you have multiple platforms that couldn't play together, ofc it won't work out. DbD and other similiar games also have raider/killer queues and they work. I started playing DbD a long time ago. It didn't have cross-play back then, but they still manged to have 2 seperate queues. I think there is more going on, but we would need to hear that from the devs themselves. When they implemented cross-play they should have tried it again imo. Ofc at the beginning people would try to just queue as raider, why wouldn't you? After some time it will balance itself. You could also give incentives to play the other side. For example offer more EXP, Zenni and Warrior Spirit for the role that needs more players. DbD does that for example. This isn't rocket science. We are the players here, we shouldn't make excuses for the devs. They made these systems and they should work on fixing them, since they are getting payed by us the players. I mean that respectfully. A better game would also help them in the long run. More players = more potential money they could earn. Really sorry to hear that! This sounds actual like a lot of fun to play against your friends. Did they ever address why they did that? Why they removed this queueing system? I am fully with you, this game is extemely unbalanced. Throwing ranked into the mix is a bad move, but i am preaching to the choir here. We will see what will happen in the future, but i am not holding my breath. I love this game, but i don't see them fixing these issues. I hope that i am wrong there.

I don't know what's the status with the Japanese region but what you said about them not being not sweaty made me think is that why they put the coastal lock in the game to keep us separated from them if so they're ruining the game for their home fan base and I believe the Western fan base spends more money it's backwards it's idiotic
Survivors are more OP the higher rating you go, and they are even stronger if you are premade. It becomes almost impossible to win as a raider (especially a non level 100 raider) unless they do SERIOUS mistakes or RNG is in your side with spawns (such as civs/items for the survivors). I see 2 Z 5 level 300's in a game? Sorry, if I catch you early and down you, I am body camping you. You should be good enough to avoid me at level 1. Why do I body camp caught level 300's Z ranks? Because when I was new, I vs'd all Z ranks as a C level raider and they all played like assholes against a NEW PLAYER. So IDC. I only have 40 hours on this game and people don't care. They just go "a win is a win". Overall, goku black and perhaps broly are a bit OP, meanwhile survivors are OP. I don't think we should just power creep the game and make it so "pay to win". We need to put a point skill system on top of making it so you can buy CHOICE SKILLS with spirit instead of RNG.
To add, I agree. The raider priority system is awful. I also feel like it creates issues with the matchmaking, as often I am 7/8, the game never starts. If I leave the 7/8 game, requeue, I find a match instantly. It's almost like when it's 7/8 the game has a really hard time match making you with 1 additional player due to it looking for a very specifc ranked player. This is why lobbies get Z+ raiders against A and below survivors. I also heard that if you leave the match during the pre-phase (before the raider and survivor models are shown), you won't lose priority. Idk if it works though. Tbh I kind of find it wrong that the queue would be rough. Just make survivors more fair to play against and things easier to get and people will play survivors. People want to play raider because the raider role isn't pay to win. My games take 10-30+ minutes to find a game until it's 2-3 PM eastern time. So I don't think "my queue times" should be an issue". Just need to fix the survivors. I'm more of a fan of nerfing broly/goku black to not have break strike level 2 and just nerf survivor abilities more (or the point system, or both). But idk. Maybe they could have something else. All of cells abilities suck at level 2.
Back in season 1 when you hosted a lobby. Anyone in could choose to queue as survivor or raider. Matchmaking was so good back then. Today? Now I have enough time to do a portal speed run and potentially still be in queue.
people said there were a lot of teamers and help the raider and it ruined the game according to them it was also the days that my friend actually enjoyed playing the game cause he could be with us when he was waiting to be raider, cause he HATES being survivor
with raider only queues i heard rumors that they were only doing matchmaking between survivor only and raider only queues. which is think why raider queue was removed originally (this was when they tried to reimplement the first time
Interesting. It would be awesome if the devs would speak more to us, so we could know what is going on. DbD for example has livestreams with the devs and community managers fairly frequent.
@@VincentDBofficial honestly it would be, it's clear that they at least CARE with all the details they add and how they implement most things for the anime. part of me also wishes that they could make the raiders more customizable i mean DBD lets you change things about the killers why not do the same for raiders like give a few alternate tools you can give the older raiders that would do something right?
And we just got a delay for Season 6 from June 11th or 12th to June 25th or 26th (depending on time zones). It may be coincidence but ever since we got that new producer since the end of season 3, the game has become worse and the prices and the way they monitize is scummy personally, like why the hell are so many voicelines for Goku Black and Zamasu require TP tokens (premium currency) and they raised they typical price of 550 to 750 tp tokens for GB and Z for some reason. Whatever is going on over there they need to stop being so damn lazy and greedy, this is just ridiculous we already have to pay 20 to 30 dollars just to play the gamr. Also they just had like 6 maintenances and they told us nothing about the details most likely just to make us think they are trying to fix things.
I absolutely agree that the new raider queue system is awful. It's terrible for new players and anyone who wants to practice/level a raider. An example from me, I don't have any raiders past level 7 because I'm still figuring out which is my favorite. But taking 3 or more hours to get 1-3 raider games is awful, and it makes it nearly impossible to learn tricks and counters to survivor strategies.
Not to mention that as you play survivor games, your ELO goes up, meaning the player elo of your raider matches will increase regardless of your raider rank. I'm a returning player, and I got to s2 pretty quickly, but my raider is b1, matched with s+

@@VincentDBofficial They have some form of ELO, my games never have anything lower than A5 anymore. Despite the amount of C's-B's I played with originally. Unless its in a party, Anything lower than A doesn't appear in my games.
To me the game is officially dead. Long Q times with awful teammates just to get your raider match and get stomped, then your rank just plummets...it wasn't THIS bad last season. I don't have the patience anymore and I don't feel like trying to "get good" even gets rewarded anymore. So why play? Why even try if in the end all my effort means nothing? It's not even like this game offers anything good to their playerbase. Greedy as Bamco are. I will not shed a single tear if this game dies.

Yeah pretty much. It's inevitable since Raiders don't get more power added ontop of them. They really need to rework most of the raiders imo.

Not sure if they even have mmr. I think the matchmaking just throws random people at each other. The whole system needs a rework
