We ordered this exact model in 8/23 and picked it up in 11/23. Actually, based on the VINs, our unit was built 4 units after this one. You mentioned so many of the same reasons we chose this model. There is also another very large pantry that you forgot to show because it was behind the open bathroom door. Storage was a big reason for our purchase. We added a 2nd solar panel (400w total), a gas/electric fridge because we dry camp a lot, a factory slide topper and a 2nd exhaust fan over the bed (in addition to the one in the bathroom).
Now we wait for Spring to start our camping around the country.

We owned this model for many years, logged MANY thousands of miles coast to coast, and had some amazing adventures in that little trailer. Flagstaff has made some really nice upgrades over what we had but it's essentially the same layout and features. We were equally comfortable plugged in or boondocking for up to 10 days with nothing but a little portable solar panel to keep our 2 golf cart batteries topped off. Took the little trailer off road and off grid and it performed and held up remarkably well. Seeing this video of the familiar layout brings a warm feeling of nostalgia. We've moved on to a larger rig recently but I can confirm from personal experience, this is a terrific couples coach. Thanks for sharing and I hope whoever purchases this trailer has as much fun as we did in ours!
My wife and I have been traveling in travel trailers all over the USA and Canada since 1980.
We are now on our 7th travel trailer, which is a Flagstaff Micro Lite 25fks. It is by far the best we have ever had. Thanks for the great video. We did a factory tour at the Rockwood/Flagstaff Factory in Indiana right before we picked up our travel trailer in Shipshewana, Indiana. We were very impressed by the quality control.
the ideal couples unit is one with a large rear window with either rear living or rear dining, this allows the couple to sit there and enjoy their meals or morning cup of coffee with a great view, especially nice on those rainy days we have here in the Great Pacific Northwest.
We have the Rockwood twin to this, 2205S. Ours is a '22 model and we absolutely love it. We opted for the tri-fold couch just in case one of the kids wants to join us.
One thing you forgot to show was the pantry thats is behind the bathroom door. It is HUGE.
We tow ours with a 21 F150 Powerboost w/ max tow package. It does a great job. It's so nice to plug it into the truck and run the A/C.

@@suedesignable There is a second pantry on this model as well. It is larger than the first one he showed by the entry door. It is located between the slide and the bathroom.
I purchased this model in march of 23. It’s the perfect couples camper for the wife and I. We have pulled it across the country and back as well as a number of local trips around our home state of Florida and the southeast. We find it pulls like a dream behind my ram 1500 rebel half ton pickup. I love the addition of the slam latch cargo doors, gives me door envy. Beyond that it’s a great layout and easy to tow. The build is very solid and we are very happy with this RV.
Our first Forest River Cherokee Wolf 19S in March of 2019 was $16,000...it had 2 queen beds. I can't believe that the costs have doubled in 5 years! We retired in it...but purchased a travel trailer Jayco Eagle last year..for $37,000.
Im in the exact same trailer right now watching this. And I have to say it's been my favorite floor plan. Perfect travel access too. We got it for the massive outside storage compartment and the length, unmatched by anything else out there really.
This is a sweet little trailer. The kitchen has a lot more work space than many of the smaller trailers, and I like that it has a couch with attachable tables, rather than a U-dinette. Great video ^_^
That looks great. Everything a couple needs in a size that will fit in most camp sites.
Hey JD, a trailer like this with the torsion suspension would make for a great comparison video to the one you made with your surveyor of weight distribution over the axels.

We have the Rockwood Mini Lite 2205s (same trailer, different stickers) and have put over 12,000 miles on it since we picked it up in December 2022. It's been fantastic and we've been in all sorts of weather with it. We also upgraded to the Power Package which has 1,000 watts of solar and a 400 amp hour battery and that has been absolutely game changing in how we find places to camp.
These are very well made RVs with a lot of features that really play-out well as you enjoy your camping experience.
I picked up this new unit this spring(Minilite 2205s). I opted for the power package. The power package is "out of this world"! I love what I know about, sadly, few people know too much about it.
This is a great trailer! I love everything about it, and if it was pulled by a oversized truck, it would be a joy on the road. I'd got one up on the 1/2 ton pick up.
Great review of a value for the money unit. ALWAYS appreciate YOUR recommended towing vehicle for us who lack experience. At that price point many important amenities are included. Suspension, tires, aluminum framing, roof access, great bathroom. Kinda wondering your experience for towing a front vs rear bedroom unit for weight distribution & gear placement. Thank you for a informed preview. Always appreciated!

Spot on design
This was a cool review since I just updated to this trailer a few months ago. What was missed:
1. Cool show cubby under the pantry by the fridge.
2. The TV is on a very useful pivoting arm.
3. Road model is fantastic; you can get to nearly everything with the slide closed.
What needs improvement:
1. I wish the bedroom closets used the metal bracket instead of the rod, kinda like the back pantry
2. I wish the bedroom windows were both the bigger size.
3. The struts on the bed are very weak so even though there is handle, it has to be held while messing with storage.

This Unit Checked all my boxes for a starter trailer, really liked the 30 pound L.P.G. cans.

This trailer is a perfect example of just how ridiculously priced “overland” trailers like Patriot Campers are by comparison. This trailer is half the price of a Patriot Camper, which is basically a box with an outdoor kitchen and tent on top. For half the price this trailer gives you a bathroom with a shower, a lounge area, an indoor kitchen, and a queen size bed. All in a climate controlled indoor area. Patriot Campers, and every “overland” trailer company, should be ashamed of their outright price gouging.
I agree, we had this little trailer for many years and took it off-road/off-grid a lot. Held up well and we were super comfy. Maybe can't go everywhere a Patriot camper can go, but we traversed some pretty sketchy roads! Boondocked in it for up to 10 days at a time with nothing but 2 golf cart batteries and a portable solar panel. Ran everything but the microwave and a/c. I imagine the new ones do even better off-grid.

This is a great unit. I could enjoy one of these quite nicely. Would have loved to see the inside of the fridge though. :) Love all the storage it comes with. And oh my, that handle to lift the bed is outstanding! The bedroom curtain divider seemed to be fairly thick as well.
It’s a little heavy for my half ton. I wouldn’t even consider trying to tow it but if they have something similar without a slide might lighten the load a little.

This is a nice little unit. Although the curtains on the bedroom allow them to be open to give a feel of a larger space, I’d prefer a solid wall and door as my wife goes to bed much earlier than I do, so we’d want a little sound barrier if I’m watching TV. The size of the fridge, the solar and the fireplace are a nice surprise on a more budget unit like this.
I bought the identical sister product 2021 Mini Lite 2205S in Aug of 2020 for $25,000 so prices have drastically increased since then. I have the two way fridge for extended off grid camping. The only negative is the very small bathroom, but we love everything else👍

For those that don’t know (I’m assuming you do), Flagstaff = Rockwood. The Flagstaff Microlite = Rockwood MiniLite. This Microlite 22FBS is the same thing as the MiniLite 2205S. Love me some Rockstaff !

I was wondering what that is in the pantry,is it a clothes rack.or a paper towel holder? I wish you had a little more.room around the toilet! I think that's a good price for this travel trailer, if you had cash money could you get it even cheaper? I like that they have plenty of drawers in the kitchen, I do agree that some Rv's don't give you drawers in the kitchen. I do like that they give you a electric fireplace space heater! This is the first time that I have ever seen a handle to raise up the foot of the bed,that's just amazing! I think they done a outstanding job with this travel trailer! Like that one, just 5 years until we retire and take it out west. I would add power stabilizer jacks run off a Lippert Remote system. Would like a slightly bigger bathroom. Still a great rig.
Layout similar to a Lance but not as expensive, we don't watch much TV so we would prefer a booth type dinette, love the bed.
I have the little brother to this model the rockwood 2109s same floor plan without the fireplace and 2 foot shorter perfect for me and the wife.also it’s a little lighter
I like it, the toilet area may be a little tight(I’m not the smallest person in the world). I think it’s a great floor plan and a well built trailer!
Funnily enough i see a lot of couples bring these in for service and buy these. I guess FR actually knows whats up.
If it didn't have the radius shower it would be ideal for me. I like the Rockwood 2513S or Flagstaff 25 BSDS. I want the outdoor kitchen if possible.
Love the trailer, only wish it came with the the new Insta heat water heater. You never mention how many gallons of hot water heater was. Thank you for your video.
We have the Rockwood version of that trailer not that particular floorplan, but it is a well built unit
We have a 2022 Mesa Ridge this same layout couple differences,we paid 27k otd, before tax and the other add-ons this thing is over $210 a sq.ft.they jack the MSRP way up then give what seems to be a great discount, it's all about making ya feel good about a big discount.
It would be great if you could start talking about if the trailer/ camper etc is 3 or 4 season the type of exterior material used and insulation.
Almost the same plan as my Coachmen 192rbs. I pull mine with a Gladiator Sport. It’s about 1000 pounds less.

Seems pretty good, especially for a half-ton towable unit. Looking at the 2024 payload/tow rating sheets, I'd say a 3/4-ton would be pretty significant overkill for this trailer. Doing some math, it looks like this thing would fit nicely within even the Silverado 4-cylinder's capability. I would easily recommend this over any "half-ton towable" 5th wheel.

Good Morning from San Antonio. That is a sweet looking rig. One question, and I apologize if I missed it in the video, does the TV swing out so it can be viewed from the bed?
Very new to this idea of a camper, could you tell me what I would need to pull it. I’m sure what I have wouldn’t be enough
I wonder if in place of the tiny TV, an articulating TV arm mounting a 55 or 60 inch TV could be installed. Otherwise, very nice unit.
Looks amazing. Wonder what the switch slide side near the front is for. Also what is the cabitnet/drawer center under sink?
The exterior switch at the front turns on the exterior strip light on the nose cap. The cabinet panel under the sink drops down to hold a kitchen sponge or the like.
How about if you haven't done it yet and I missed it a series on toy haulers and some small enough to be towed by a SUV like a Durango. Love the channel though
Whats your opinion on putting a small car like a Chevy Spark in the back of a fifth wheel toy hauler?
In order to make this microlite, companies sacrifice strength in the frame and insulation in ceiling and walls. Lighter weight axles and smaller screws to hold outer walls to frames. Smaller holding tanks for fresh, grey and black water. The use of Asdel in a positive.
Rockwood tends to go a step beyond a lot of its competitors in terms of build quality and materials, it's probably as solid as you're going to get in this class. 5200 lbs is not really ultra light for this size floorplan
Would it really be that difficult to make the windows dbl paned to at least ‘try’ to keep the a/c or heat in…since the walls won’t ?
Looking at upgrading to this model. We currently tow with a 2020 F150 Lariat Super crew 5.0 L V8 3.55 ratio max tow of 9100 and payload of 1727. Can we easily tow this travel trailer considering the height profile? Thanks.
I liked it enough I bought one in November. My only complaint is that the plumbing has been an issue. They use a lot of hose and mix in a little pex. The problem is how they connect the two. If you can’t plumb this way in a home you probably shouldn’t do it in an RV.
How would something like a 22 Nissan frontier SV (2wd) handle this? Has a 6500 tow rating and roughly 1200 payload rating

Same layout as the Ember 201fbq, different axles but 20k less.
Larger TV, a tad more solar, and 3-4k more off, or an on demand water heater and I'd be out shopping. Really feel the fireplace area isn't great, it could have been deeper and just take the counter across - seems like a waste of space.

Yes it does open both ways. And it's awesome! You are bringing in groceries and need to pu the milk and ice cream away, open main door-reach for the fridge door and it opens toward the inside of the camper. If you are inside and just to get a cold drink , open the door the opposite way. It's awesome.

Could I tow this trailer safely with a 2017 Dodge Durango R/T with 7200lb towing capacity.
What is the payload capacity of the Durango?
Do you think it would be possible to get a Ineos Grenadier for review? I know they are built primarily for off road, but they are rated to tow 7,716 pounds and have a payload capacity of 1,684 pounds.

Once again you have lost your freaking mind. Dude who is watching your channel that would be dumb enough to pay 35,000 for this. I would not pay over 24k for something like this. Sometimes I love your channel and other times I just really can’t. If they want us to spend 35k plus then the product needs to hold enough value to be worth it. It I went to a dealer and they showed me this unit and said they were asking 35k I would tell them do you have anything on the lot that actually reflects the value of what you asking for it or should I leave and save us both some time. This model is a basic first time ever into the market of rving and as such can not expect to get price tag like that. Like I said I would not pay that much for it. At most 24k and to be honest I would have to be in a market for that particular type unit to pay that much.
