Your style is natural and engaging; very easy to watch. UA-cam referred your "I just got monetized!" video (CONGRATS!!!) to me. I hope this goes as far as you want it to. Subscribed :)
Hi Sierra, I’m a new subscriber. My name is Sue and I’m 70, started my youtube channel about 2 years ago, but got more serious about it a year ago. The items I have purchased for my video creations are… Tri-pod, microphone, and… love this one… Canva. I asked my husband to buy it for me for my August Birthday. I love creating and using many of the elements. I also love learning and so it feeds not only that but the creative interests. It’s easy to use and fun, as I’m sure you know. I am monetized but… I started my channel with knitting and one day (a year ago) put up a camping video “Two Seniors Camping” and that got 100,000 views - who knew that it would be so popular. Since then, I joke and say, “My channel was hijacked”. People only wanted camping, and my sub numbers would always go down when I put up a knitting video. I was doing a camping and a knitting video, one each week = 2 videos a week. Finally, in fact just recently, I separated the two topics. My knitting channel is only a couple weeks old and definitely not monetized yet. I do hope it takes off since for me, year round it is the easier one to do videos for. The camping one is somewhat seasonal. I live in Ontario Canada, and we do get winter. You can find our (my 81 yr husband and I) channel at “Two Seniors Camping”. Yeah, I had to change the name. Anyway, I enjoyed your video and as you know subscribed. Cheers!
@@CounselorSue oh so that’s why you separated…. I’m trying to figure out what to do too. I love the travel vlogs but I can’t travel all the time and the hauls do well but again, I can’t buy stuff all the time. I really wanted to do monthly challenges but no one watched those… lol
@@sierralovesdogs Yeah, I hear ya. Which of your videos got the most views? I can ask that but you probably already know. That’s what I had to admit to myself in the end. It seemed people wanted to see two seniors camping (I’m 70 and hubby is 81). I’ve used the AI (called ChatGP, I think…lol) to stir up ideas. I have at least 20 ideas I can post regarding camping until the next camping season rolls around. I think it’s the least I can do. In the meantime I’m trying to grow my knitting/crochet channel, because… it can be done year round. And I knit every day. Keep in touch. I’ll watch your videos and maybe an idea will pop up. cheers!
Thank you so, so much Sierra. I loved your video and hearing about your experience. I am a 65 year old artist and would love to you try. Hearing of you was so encouraging to me. I want to give it a shot. Thanks much. You have lots of presence and charisma, keep going I believe you will end up very successful.
I'm surprised this video doesn't have more views, it's so good! I got here through the end screen of your other UA-cam monetisation video. I'm impressed at the quality of your talking head shots, amazing you can get such a crisp video quality with only and iphone and ring light! Any other tips or tools you use for Vlogging? Keep it up, you're doing great :) your charisma and storytelling kept me attentive till the end :)

Hi! Yes I actually do! Sorry your reply was hidden so I'm just getting to it know. On. your plant tour for example, it's a long form video but it's filmed vertically instead of horizontally. People generally want to see the long form filmed horizontally - are you able to do that? And one more thing... I keep hearing that it's hard to have a "faceless" channel. Meaning, I know not everybody will do it, but for that home tour video, if you added a little 20 second clip at the front and the end and said "I'm Sharonda and I've loved plants since I was a child. Join me on a tour of the plants in my house." And then something at the end "thanks for joining me".... it helps to personalize the tour and people get to know YOU and want to support YOU. Just some ideas. Hope that helps! 😊
