Honestly it's not that big of a problem, short term yeah it'll hurt but long term that +30 weapon can be used for a 4* since it still contains that exp for the weapons you put in it! If it's like base pso2 you might even be saving some money and resources in the long run it's early in the games life so who knows.

Since I've always been playing pso2 with 2 button setup, NGS taught me that 3 button has so much more to offer. Really enjoying the hunter class, and the Partisan do be hittin different. Can't wait to max out by today, hopefully :'>
Quick tips for OG pso2 player . If u want high bp jump at lvl 10/11 without using any resource from ngs, make an invade weapon from base pso2 to +35 and novel unit to +10 and bring it to ngs.
Same. I made it to 200k meseta after cracking a bunch of red boxes and doing some PSE bursts. Been stingy with upgrading my weapons to make it go further if possible.

This game came out of nowhere for me. I seen gameplay from another UA-camr and then I found your channel. This is definitely one of my favorite games now. Is there a store for outfits? I've been rocking the character creation fit and I'm level 10 now. I love fashion in games so I'm trying to find some new gear.
You gonna have to play the base PSO2 if fashion is your aim cause this game is still too fresh and lacks content which SEGA has already made plans to add in stuff. Just gotta wait but in your case,if you cant, then youre better off playing the old PSO2 which has 10 years of content especially fashion. Also, if you do have a character from old PSO2, you can transfer that character(including fashion) to NG so particularly to you, its better to just play old PSO2 and transfer that character to NG. You wont be missing much anyways if you do go back and play the old one. Take your time. You got a couple of months before they add in the new stuff.

@@deanxile I won't echo other recommendations, but I will add leveling your sub class helps, swapped it to main for a bit to get both to 10 on mount. I will also say that Meseta isn't scarce enough to sweat upgrades too much. I passed out upgrades to 1 and 2 star weapons and armor like it was candy, and I am sitting at roughly 200k Meseta still - also free player.
@@Akusokuzan09 I agree with this. It's not realistic to not upgrade. In fact, you literally can't proceed with the main quest without upgrading. They make you do it at least once. Keroppi's advice while I respect it is for, and was from, experienced and returning players from PSO2. A new player will definitely feel inclined to upgrade their 3 stars to reach the BP requirements quicker.
3:00 Party boost. Might want to make a correction, NGS didn't implement a party boost. Its already proven through tests on top of being datamined. In fact you can do the test this yourself by killing the same enemy and paying close attention the exp mob drops (as I have with friends). I get that it is easy to assume they would put a party boost system like base PSO2 but this is not the case. I recommend you make the correction since it has been annoying for many people who get party invites that 100% does nothing to the player.

I don't think that's true, given that I killed a level 15 enemy at level 10 just a couple of hours ago. The damage was reduced (I kept getting a "Defended" pop-up), but not massively so -- I think it was a 15% to 20% reduction. I still killed the mob reasonably quickly, but I wouldn't recommend intentionally seeking out over-leveled enemies.
i can go throught a Lv15 training with only lv9, but the boss is to tough mainly because i can only deal like 1-2 damage, wasted 30+ min just to be failed :)) but the mobs, i gone though them easily(mechanics stay the same, only damage you deal and they deal change)
@@dragon090ss It's possible that the quality of your weapons matters. I have a level 40 one-star weapon for my Ranger, which I put together because it's AMAZINGLY easy to get one-star weapons to level 40 and they will last you until you get a good 4-star weapon with a level 3 or 4 innate ability. Because of that, my damage has always been quite good, even when fighting higher-level enemies.
Somethings i want to add. I really appreciate these types of videos. I've had a hard time finding resources for this game. Alot of the mechanics go way over my head. The majority of players in game have very little interest in helping, or even talking. So trying to figure this stuff out is difficult. This type of content is what keeps me playing.
So I have 2 chrs at present, one is 10 and the other is 12. I tend to farm Mt. Magnis quite alot and I like the E Bursts. I thend to the boss with those rocket blasting arm more often than not, I find it to be a good exercise in evasion. Anyway,, me main chr has 2 golden swords, her main weapon is the dual pistols and sub is the Techer weapon. The other is the fists for main and the sword for Hunter.
Keroppi love that you're covering PSO2NG! Missed that intro man. I know it's a little early days but I like being ahead when it comes to MMOs. Do you know if Techer/Fighter is still the recommended combo? or have things changed a lot in NG.
Lab 10 - 15?, I was in forest around 11? I just hit 15 via forest and it took a large chunk of time and energy; feel like if I was grinding lab to 15 I’d have bit made it there before laying in bed. Dunno if legacy gear is giving so much of a boost, I still was missing a ton of BP, I was mostly running around with my old nemesis and mediocre trailblazer units; but to boost my BP I ran into the towers and soloed them; even with a garbage score it gives points. Soloing tall sword boss guy at level 10 was not fun lol. Considering 5 levels higher has massive damage reduction.
@@keroppiPerhaps I was mistaken from the way the game explained it; but I thought that was only when levels were 5 levels higher or lower, which is why I went to fight lvl 15 mobs at 11. If this was incorrect then I just made a big oops.

@@GuiltyJRocker it no longer comes up as an active boost in player stats while all others do, as well as; in a party i killed an enemy and got the same amount of exp as without a party. though this is only ngs, not base. would've been nice to get an extra 10% from parties like we did in the beta.
I fully plan on investing in force and techter(?) And going all in on talis because I think they're just neat. Edit: I've no idea where to get the Talis at all.
I don’t know anything about drops I don’t know which monster drop what specific item that i want. Because everything i killed the drop will just automatically appear in my inventory. So how do i fix that? Can i turn that function off? Another question is when my inventory is full, will i just lose all the drop from boss?
But I got a 4 star weapon rare drop at the laboratory ruins at level 9. Granted I became level 10 immediately after. So it's not impossible. I'm still progressing at Battle Power 952
just to debunk something i have heard multiple youtubers say now - you dont need rank 2 areas for 4* weapons how do i know that? cause i didnt have rank 2 areas when i got my first 3-4 4* weapons (tbf i feel like no matter if base rank or rank 2 the drop rate kinda sucks but maybe i am just unlucky)
Ok so now I am lvl 10 and have to get to put lvl 950 I'm stock on lvl 920... and I've done all quests already... so the only way to reach that 950 lvl is to grind at Mt. Magnus to become lvl 11?
Unrelated to the video, but do you or anyone else know the purpose of color change passes from base PSO2 in NGS? I can transfer them to NGS and they aren't greyed out, but I can't use them to change my outfits color in the salon. Is there a different color change pass for NGS and if so, how the heck do I get them?
So me and brother found each other in a block and we are in a party but sometimes we don't show up on each other's maps is there a way to fix that it's almost as if we have to walk next to each other. There are also moments where my party member does not even show up on my screen but we are on the same block and a party. Is this a pso2 problem ?
Saving alot of Meseta. Well. Just fusing my 4 Star Weapons already costs me 200k. No Uprade done at all and already 200k less in my pockets. Upgrading $ Star Gear is really expensive for how low the Rank of the gear is. If that costs so much already then imagine what the 15 Star gear in the distand future will cost. >.
Since it's a multiplayer game, maybe we shouldn't spend too much resources improving dmg all that much, so maybe just focus on defence and head our way to late game content.. Just a weird thought.
@@primal2k7 Well you will find out that defense isnt that relevant in PSO at all. Block/Dodge = No damage at all means def is a wasted stat. Thats the reason why in base PSO2 everyone is using dmg stats even on units.
Ranger has never let me down on effects or combat yet but the control leaves to be desirable. How do you make the camera view movement follow where my character is facing while in combat using lock on/tab target mode? I can't freely move the camera view while in combat using lock on/tab target mode which results to a weird detached feeling in combat. Is there any settings for that? It's really different from the usual mmorpg or ammorpg I've played.
@@Opalthira that's what I've been using but it reduces mobility of the ranger and despite being the latest installment/update to the game this particular feature is still stuck in the past, you might reply that I should play other game but even few years older f2p titles have better tab target feature than this. Maybe I'll be stuck playing hunter again like in the base game, I haven't played hunter in this version but it doesn't have the same issue right?
@@Opalthira It's really not the movement speed, I can still move with the designed speed but movement is restricted when not using the lock on/tab target mode. I mean in combat I tried and intend to use lock on/tab target mode for movement flexibility.

4 star rarity weapons are cheaper than 3 star rarity weapons in Personal Shop. Like legit only 1.000 mseta... You can easily just buy one instead of farm!
Anything about multi weapons? I'm at the point in story where I need to make one, and I'm using a gold sword and don't have anything to merge into it. But I'm not sure if I should waste the materials just merging random weapons together that I'm not going to use.
Yeah I also used 1* weapons and units just to get those quests out of the way. The problem with that quest and multi-weapon is it's too expensive to multi-weapon 3* weapons, which is probably what you have by the time the quest rolls around, and you're just at the threshold of getting 4* weapons . ...so if you burn all the resources on 3* weapons, you'll get a 4* drop and start cursing.
what do you mean, you "syphoned away some gear you had from PSO2?" If that means a way to upgrade using old PSO2 gear, can you elaborate on that? I have some gear, but how do I know what I can use and can't use for fodder for uopgrading?
You can't upgrade NGS gear with OG PSo2 gear, but Alot of the OG gear has a ton of affixed and stats that can help you in the early levels. Currently the best fodder for weapon upgrades are the Silver and Gold Primm swords because of the Esperio affix that adds more exp when enhancing.

@@auroninja no problem! Using the Silver and Gold weapons exclusively for affixing can help you level up your weapons while not spending too much meseta.
you can increase battle power by upgrading your weapons/units, leveling up and spending skill points in skill tree. You can watch anamana for free 4 star units lying around in the map and 4 star weapon drop loot by azelyra.
@@babu-oh8ss You get skill points from Cocoons and Towers. Start exploring the map looking for them. Your mag makes sounds and shoots out a trapezoid-shaped scanning beam if you are near one. (...or you can use a guide that tells you where they all are, but overusing guides may take the fun out of finding some).
@@babu-oh8ss also to top it up i recommend doing a party for towers if you dont have base pso2 gear. To be honest its pretty difficulty even with my max out base pso2 weapons and units, its tough to solo.

I have to disagree, I leveled my 3 star to 30 and still had 250k meseta I think it's more about managing and dedicating time, if you arent playing a lot and doing dailies etc then dont spend, otherwise I think its fine.
I don't even know why people complain about BP it's literally no different from level, in base PSO2 game you can't tackle content that it higher than your level because it would be too hard, same with BP I mean I cracked 1250 without even trying and I have a 3 star weapon and all 2 star units. All I did was do the cacoons and pse burst for silver/gold exp fodder which drop from PSE bursts.
some of the talents say you need the class as a main and other talents say you need to equip that weapon type to use it. should be in yellow words on the talent tree

Focus on leveling. Each level gives +11 battle power!

There is an EXP penalty if the mobs are much higher/ lower level than you! It’s best to farm mobs are the same level range as your character!
What your bp with u using old gear?

You can get them from PSE bursts I got a Vitalio unit from the Lab.

sadly, there's no more team boost, it was removed

@@GuiltyJRocker it no longer comes up as an active boost in player stats while all others do, as well as; in a party i killed an enemy and got the same amount of exp as without a party. though this is only ngs, not base. would've been nice to get an extra 10% from parties like we did in the beta.

You'll get it around lvl 10-12, in the Lab area and maybe north of the main hub...
I don’t know anything about drops I don’t know which monster drop what specific item that i want. Because everything i killed the drop will just automatically appear in my inventory. So how do i fix that? Can i turn that function off? Another question is when my inventory is full, will i just lose all the drop from boss?
But I got a 4 star weapon rare drop at the laboratory ruins at level 9. Granted I became level 10 immediately after. So it's not impossible. I'm still progressing at Battle Power 952

Unrelated to the video, but do you or anyone else know the purpose of color change passes from base PSO2 in NGS? I can transfer them to NGS and they aren't greyed out, but I can't use them to change my outfits color in the salon. Is there a different color change pass for NGS and if so, how the heck do I get them?
So me and brother found each other in a block and we are in a party but sometimes we don't show up on each other's maps is there a way to fix that it's almost as if we have to walk next to each other. There are also moments where my party member does not even show up on my screen but we are on the same block and a party. Is this a pso2 problem ?

Well. Just fusing my 4 Star Weapons already costs me 200k. No Uprade done at all and already 200k less in my pockets. Upgrading $ Star Gear is really expensive for how low the Rank of the gear is. If that costs so much already then imagine what the 15 Star gear in the distand future will cost. >.
I wouldn't be surprised if it cost 1m+ for 15*.
Since it's a multiplayer game, maybe we shouldn't spend too much resources improving dmg all that much, so maybe just focus on defence and head our way to late game content.. Just a weird thought.

Well you will find out that defense isnt that relevant in PSO at all.
Block/Dodge = No damage at all means def is a wasted stat. Thats the reason why in base PSO2 everyone is using dmg stats even on units.

Ranger has never let me down on effects or combat yet but the control leaves to be desirable.
How do you make the camera view movement follow where my character is facing while in combat using lock on/tab target mode?
I can't freely move the camera view while in combat using lock on/tab target mode which results to a weird detached feeling in combat.
Is there any settings for that?
It's really different from the usual mmorpg or ammorpg I've played.
@@Opalthira that's what I've been using but it reduces mobility of the ranger and despite being the latest installment/update to the game this particular feature is still stuck in the past, you might reply that I should play other game but even few years older f2p titles have better tab target feature than this.
Maybe I'll be stuck playing hunter again like in the base game, I haven't played hunter in this version but it doesn't have the same issue right?
@@Opalthira It's really not the movement speed, I can still move with the designed speed but movement is restricted when not using the lock on/tab target mode.
I mean in combat I tried and intend to use lock on/tab target mode for movement flexibility.
Theres no option for this unfortunately, its pretty annoying

Question. Why do you use the sword when your main class is force? what doy ou get out of not using hunter as your main and putting force as sub? also if theres a meaning to this. would techer main for the buff with maybe a hunter or ranger sub be good?
Reason is because my sword is because it’s the strongest weapon I have and has very strong mobbing potential.
i've only ever gotten the silver or gold weapons from the boss of a PSE.

Unfortunately there is no way to show health bars (only the bosses in Urgent Quests have health bars shown).

4 star rarity weapons are cheaper than 3 star rarity weapons in Personal Shop. Like legit only 1.000 mseta... You can easily just buy one instead of farm!

Anything about multi weapons? I'm at the point in story where I need to make one, and I'm using a gold sword and don't have anything to merge into it. But I'm not sure if I should waste the materials just merging random weapons together that I'm not going to use.

Yeah I also used 1* weapons and units just to get those quests out of the way.
The problem with that quest and multi-weapon is it's too expensive to multi-weapon 3* weapons, which is probably what you have by the time the quest rolls around, and you're just at the threshold of getting 4* weapons . ...so if you burn all the resources on 3* weapons, you'll get a 4* drop and start cursing.
what do you mean, you "syphoned away some gear you had from PSO2?" If that means a way to upgrade using old PSO2 gear, can you elaborate on that? I have some gear, but how do I know what I can use and can't use for fodder for uopgrading?
You can't upgrade NGS gear with OG PSo2 gear, but Alot of the OG gear has a ton of affixed and stats that can help you in the early levels. Currently the best fodder for weapon upgrades are the Silver and Gold Primm swords because of the Esperio affix that adds more exp when enhancing.

you can increase battle power by upgrading your weapons/units, leveling up and spending skill points in skill tree. You can watch anamana for free 4 star units lying around in the map and 4 star weapon drop loot by azelyra.

@@babu-oh8ss You get skill points from Cocoons and Towers. Start exploring the map looking for them. Your mag makes sounds and shoots out a trapezoid-shaped scanning beam if you are near one. (...or you can use a guide that tells you where they all are, but overusing guides may take the fun out of finding some).
@@babu-oh8ss also to top it up i recommend doing a party for towers if you dont have base pso2 gear. To be honest its pretty difficulty even with my max out base pso2 weapons and units, its tough to solo.
Now that new Genesis came out Is there any point of keeping all that other stuff from the original game Like all the upgrade items and food should I get rid of them to give me more space in my vault because I’m not planning on going back to the original game I don’t think there’s any point

I have to disagree, I leveled my 3 star to 30 and still had 250k meseta I think it's more about managing and dedicating time, if you arent playing a lot and doing dailies etc then dont spend, otherwise I think its fine.

I don't even know why people complain about BP it's literally no different from level, in base PSO2 game you can't tackle content that it higher than your level because it would be too hard, same with BP I mean I cracked 1250 without even trying and I have a 3 star weapon and all 2 star units. All I did was do the cacoons and pse burst for silver/gold exp fodder which drop from PSE bursts.

You can level them in Base PSO2 and bring them into NGS. But you can not upgrade old weapons in NGS.
Why i cant use overload when i pick Gu as main and Fighter as sub
some of the talents say you need the class as a main and other talents say you need to equip that weapon type to use it. should be in yellow words on the talent tree

Anyone know which 4star units I should upgrade? Ive gotten the 3 "free" ones from the boxes, but Ive also gotten units from drops, one of which has 14 base def with 1dmg resist, idk which I should waste money on :/
The three from boxes will give +2% to melee, ranged, and technique. The others you need to just compare to those.
